Former DEA Agent Tells Tucker FBI Informant Invited Him to Capitol on Jan. 6 and Pressured Him to Enter

A now-former DEA agent who attended the peaceful rally in Washington on Jan. 6, but never entered the Capitol building, is facing serious prison time for being there that day, and he told Fox News on Thursday he was only there because someone associated with the FBI invited him.

With what we’ve learned in recent weeks, it wouldn’t at all seem out of order for the FBI to entrap an American citizen — even a DEA agent. The bureau is now accused of leading the alleged plot to kidnap Democratic Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer last year.

It appears as though that entire plot might have been little more than a case of entrapment, and such schemes might only be the tip of the iceberg.

According to military combat veteran and recently fired DEA agent Mark Ibrahim, he is facing major charges for being outside of the Capitol on Jan. 6, where he destroyed no property, hurt no one and stayed out of the building while others breached it.

Ibrahim told Fox News host Tucker Carlson he was in Washington on Jan. 6 to keep the peace after having been invited to travel that day by someone with the FBI.

Ibrahim is facing 15 years in prison and has lost his job with the federal government, as he stands accused of breaking 40 U.S. Code 5104, which makes it a felony to “step on or climb on any statue, seat, wall, fountain or other architectural feature or any tree, shrub, plant, or turf” on the Capitol grounds.

Ibrahim told Carlson he did nothing but stand around with his government-issued sidearm with his fellow federal agent brother and attempted to keep peace outside. Asked by Carlson if he was invited to the constitutionally protected protest outside by an FBI informant, his answer was terrifying.

Tucker Carlson: “It would be interesting and useful I think to the continuation of our democracy if people with power in Congress would do something about this. It’s clearly a political prosecution, there are people sitting in jail for political reasons.” pic.twitter.com/YvM4QMvkal

“I think [the FBI informant] asked me to go with him to protect him and I think he was there to document. Both him and I were seeking to protect the public that day. We went there with the intention of seeking those who wish to do our government harm, to stop them and to protect those who peacefully protest,” Ibrahim said.

“The FBI knew he was there. Now, he says he was not working at their direction, but he concedes they knew he was there and we’ll let our viewers reach their own conclusions on the basis of that,” Carlson said. “Do you believe there were many other people in the crowd that day who had been in contact with the FBI as the man you were with had been?”

“Not that I’ve seen, but again, I went there with the intention to protect the public. Both me and my brother went there with the intention to protect the public,” he responded.

Ibrahim, who comes off as extremely credible, said that he was arrested after the building incursion and fired from his job. He also said he was encouraged to enter the Capitol by his FBI friend, but declined.

Carlson asked Ibrahim if he believes his arrest and prosecution are part of the Biden administration’s witch hunt against conservative Americans.

California Is Experiencing A Crime "Tsunami", DA Says

California is experiencing a wave of crime despite Gov. Gavin Newsom’s claims of a decrease during the past three decades, officials say.

“You’ve got violent crime off the charts,” Sacramento County District Attorney Anne Marie Schubert told The Epoch Times.

“You’ve got this tsunami of things that are happening. Violent crime, illegal guns, [and] rampant theft.”

On July 21 in Los Angeles, when asked if state policies are making crime worse, Newsom denied the state is seeing a rise in crime.

“The evidence doesn’t back it up. Last three decades we’ve actually seen a significant decline in crime in the state,” Newsom said.

According to a Public Policy Institute of California (PPIC) released in 2021, four major cities have witnessed an increase in homicide and car thefts. Los Angeles, Oakland, San Diego, and San Francisco are experiencing such heightened crime despite dropping in violent crime in March 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic began.

Data provided by PPIC shows that in 2020, Los Angeles reported a 40 percent homicide increase in comparison to 2019; Oakland reported a 36 percent increase. San Francisco and San Diego both witnessed increases from 41 to 48 percent and 50 percent to 55 percent, respectively.

In January and February 2021, violent crime was 12 percent lower in comparison to the first few months of 2020. PPIC attributed the decrease to fewer robberies and aggravated assaults. Out of the four cities, Oakland was the only one that witnessed an increase in aggravated assaults of about 10 percent.

“There isn’t a person in the state who believes that crime is on the decline,” Rescue California campaign manager Anne Dunsmore told The Epoch Times.

“You have people casually walking out of the stores with stolen items. You have a store clerk who was shot and killed by people who are just going into stores and shoplifting. [Newsom] wants to manipulate numbers to make it look like California is roaring back and crime is on the decline.”

Dunsmore said state policies enforced by Newsom, such as Prop 47, could attribute to heightened crime in the state. Through Prop 47, certain theft and drug possession offenses are marketed as misdemeanors rather than felonies. When passed, previous offenders that were serving sentences for felony offenses became eligible for resentencing.

Pending bill AB 333 would remove burglary, identity fraud violations, looting, and felony vandalism from gang-related crimes.

“He’s trying to show that he’s cutting down on prison population and that somehow indicates that crime is on the decline,” Dunsmore said.

Ironically the Swing States in the 2020 Election Were States with Some of the Largest Grants from the CARES Act

The swing states that came into play in the 2020 election were ironically the same states where large grants were given prior to the election.

The US Government created the CARES Act wherein part they provided funds to states to help them manage the 2020 Election with the China Coronovirus still a factor in the states.

Overall the government gave away over $470 million in CARES grant funding by July 2020. Oddly enough the swing states had some of the largest CARES grants.

Six swing states received some of the largest awards in the CARES Act (Pennsylvania – $17 million, Georgia – $13 million, Michigan – $14 million, Wisconsin – $9 million, Arizona $9 million, and Nevada – $5 million). In total these swing states reviewed $67 million in CARES grants.

What did these states really do with the millions provided to them in the CARES Act?
