That needs to change.
No persons convicted of any felony should be eligible to serve in any elected or appointed government position for life.
Look at history.
Humans will do anything until they get 'spanked' and told they can't.
No one has held them to account for decades.
No one has spanked them, so why stop?
This will continue unabated and get worse until they get disciplined for their actions.
Knowing and actually not stomping up and down waiting are two different things.
