Last month a member of the local police force from WA state told me when asked to enforce the city code on "nuisance" informed me they are not the morality police.
No shit? Many small towns have to deal with behaviors that if the public did it, they would be ticketed or worse arrested, but police are able to let those in 'gated communities', friends they went to school with off and frankly I can understand fully the defund the police movement. There needs to be a more formal training program, not some pos who further abuses the system and skates for a salary.
And people wonder why so many are looking to hire police? Shit hiring, training and treated like shit. These bills signed will only further escalate the powder keg in small towns and behaviors across the board.
Are there good cops out there? Yes and God Bless them for staying on the right path.
