We've been in the outer bands of that typhoon for about 4 days now and HOREE SHIT that was some serious rain. Big downpours are not anything new, but they are usually short. These have been both intense and long, often lasting a couple hours at a time. 80-85 decibels approximately falling on our metal roof.
Flooding in Phils is nothing new either, we have a lot less infrastructure. Will expect some mud slides and such. But if this rain smacks China the way it is looking, they are in for some serious shit.
