I had a moment where I could not deny that God was real and actually knew who I was. I went out and bought a Bible. I didn’t understand it. One day I threw the Bible across the room and said, “What is up with all these commandments?!??” I actually heard him say, “If you give me your heart, and let me clean and heal it, you will not break my commandments, because it will not be in your nature to break them. I will show you how to love, and love doesn’t think of itself. Once you love, you will not want to lie, steal, kill, or commit adultery, etc.. It will be what you choose, because it will be who you are.”
Even Jesus said, “I of myself can do nothing.” He needed the spirit of god to do god things. Religion tells you that you have to clean yourself up before God can use you. THAT is a trap and the biggest lie we have to overcome.
