Germany: Several injured, 5 missing after Leverkusen blast
Several employees of Chempark Leverkusen were injured and five are currently missing after a blast at the chemical complex in the western German city on Tuesday.
The blast shook the entire city area and left a black cloud of smoke visible in the sky above. An alarm was triggered across the city and residents are being instructed to stay inside and keep windows and doors closed.
The motorway junction Leverkusen-West and the A1 between the motorway junction Leverkusen and Cologne-Nord are affected by the full closure.
