The website it resolves to through reverse IP lookup. That website does not work, nor does linuxmint.com.

It appears that my connection is compromised.
Logical thinking tells me that if I'm unable to connect to linuxmints official website, but get a strange notification for an update only for sourcepackages lacking information behind it, whoever it is, is trying to further compromise my system.
I've set up no proxy.
traceroute shows 8 hops for linuxmint.com on my end. It does not look right if you ask me. I should conact my ISP.

IC3 is a part of the FBI. I guess we will see if the FBI at the IC3 level is comped or not.
