North Korea cancels talks with South, threatens to call off US talks over military drills - reports

North Korea has canceled a summit with South Korea and has threatened to call off a summit between US President Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un over American military drills with South Korea, according to South Korean media reports.

Pyongyang has canceled talks with Seoul due to ongoing Max Thunder military exercises between the South and the US, Yonhap news agency cited North Korean media. The drills have been described by the North as a rehearsal for invasion of the DPKR and a provocation amid warming inter-Korean ties.

AFP reported that North Korea has also threatened to scrap the highly-anticipated summit between US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. The meeting is scheduled for June 12 in Singapore.

The news comes as a blow after the historic talks between the leaders of two Koreas in April and the meeting between Kim and US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. Pompeo said Sundaythat any deal paving the way for a nuclear-free Korean peninsula will have to include certain US safeguards reassuring Kim he won’t become a target of yet another regime change attempt.

Jong un had scheduled the dismantlement of its nuclear bomb test site to take place between May 23-25, North Korean media reported on Saturday.

The report comes hours after Seoul and Pyongyang agreed on Tuesday to hold high-level inter-Korea talks on May 16. The leaders were planning to discuss steps needed to follow the plan of the peninsula's denuclearization.

Wednesday’s now suspended talks were to include a 29-strong delegation from North Korea led by Ri Son-gwon, chairman of the 'Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the country' along with a five-member South Korean delegation, led by Unification Minister Cho Myoung-gyon.

The Max Thunder drills are one of a number of joint military drills carried out by South Korea and the US in the Korean peninsula. North Korea has long viewed these drills as a show of aggression towards Pyongyang.

The two-week Max Thunder air force drills kicked off on Friday, with over 100 planes taking part, including F-22 fighters and B-52 bombers, Yonhap reported last week.

"Through this practical exercise, the air forces of South Korea and the U.S. plan to improve aerial operations techniques," an anonymous South Korean official told Yonhap.

Rampant mobile phone use causing brain tumors to skyrocket… while corporate-run media remains in denial

(Natural News) Is your cellphone giving you brain cancer? New research highlights the potential dangers of increased mobile phone use. Cellphones have become ubiquitous in Western societies, and now evidence suggests that they could be behind the dramatic rise in a rare type of brain tumors.

Experts say that cases of a malignant brain tumor known as Glioblastoma Multiforme (or GBM) have doubled since 1995. GBM is an aggressive and often fatal type of cancer, and used to be far less common than it is today — now there are nearly 3,000 cases of GBM in England alone.

Scientists from Physicians’ Health Initiative for Radiation and Environment (PHIRE) have analyzed 79,241 malignant brain tumors over the last 21 years in order to come to this estimation. Speaking about their findings, Professor Denis Henshaw commented, “Our findings illustrate the need to look more carefully at, and to try and explain the mechanisms behind, these cancer trends, instead of brushing the causal factors under the carpet and focusing only on cures.”

Recently, the group as a whole surmised that the increasing rates of frontal temporal lobe cancers “raises the suspicion that mobile and cordless phone use may be promoting gliomas.”

Past research has come to similar conclusions about cellphones and cancer. In 2014, one study reportedly found that cellphone use was contributing to a three-fold increase in cancers of the brain. More recently, however, a study published in early 2018 found that cell phone radiation caused rare brain tumors in rats.

The World Health Organization’s International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) has even declared that cellphone radiation is a “probable human carcinogen,” yet many mainstream health organizations and trendy scientists are denying the very real potential of cellphone-induced disease.

Many with vested interest deny the link

The new study from PHIRE has already been attacked by multiple British academics. While it is true that the PHIRE study did not pinpoint an exact cause for the increase in GBM, the fact remains that the potential for cellphones to be a cause should not be so easily dismissed.

Andrew Sharrocks, professor of molecular biology at the University of Manchester, reportedly commented that there is “zero evidence” that cellphones cause brain cancer — even though several studies (including the 2018 rat study) show that the potential is, in fact, there.

Moreover, as Henshaw contended, the focus on cancer “cures” is not helping anyone — greater focus on cancer prevention is absolutely needed. But prevention doesn’t make money for the greedy pharma and medical industries, now does it?

Multiple agencies have come forward to decry the probability of a cellphone-cancer link. As Telegraph reports, Cancer Research U.K. has stepped out to say that it is “unlikely” that cellphones cause cancer. The news outlet reported further, “In 2015 the European Commission Scientific Committee on Emerging and Newly Identified Health Risks concluded that, overall, the epidemiologic studies on cell phone radiofrequency electromagnetic radiation exposure do not show an increased risk of brain tumors or of other cancers of the head and neck region.”

This conclusion came even after multiple studies pointed to a potential connection. In spite of the fact that several studies have posited that cellphone use is indeed a cancer risk, few (if any) public health agencies have made it a point to at least suggest that people be aware of this potential.

It would seem that raw milk (a highly beneficial food) is being portrayed as a greater threat to public health than cancer-causing cellphone radiation. You know it’s a sham when a wholesome food is more heavily scrutinized than something that might actually make people sick.

Washington Post Uncritically Spreads Hamas Casualty Numbers, Paints Border Assault as ‘Demonstrations’

TEL AVIV — A Washington Post article reporting on yesterday’s Hamas-organized Gaza riots typifies the biased nature of much of the news media’s coverage of the Hamas campaign that openly seeks to storm the Israeli border and murder Jews.

The title of the Post article is “Israelis kill more than 50 Palestinians in Gaza protests, health officials say.”

Those “health officials” are further described inside the article as “local health officials.” Later, the article cites the “Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza” as reporting that “more than 2,700 people were injured … including 1,359 from live ammunition.”

“The dead included six children under the age of 18, among them a 15-year-old girl and a medic, the ministry said,” continued the Post piece.

The newspaper failed to tell readers that the “Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza” is controlled by the Hamas terrorist organization that organized the riots and has a vested interest in inflating casualty numbers. The Post also did not inform readers that Hamas has a history of exaggerating such claims.

The third paragraph of the article portrays the “protests” as attended by “many” who came to protest “peacefully”:

Tens of thousands of Palestinians had gathered on the edges of the fenced-off and blockaded territory from midmorning. Many came to peacefully demonstrate, bringing their children and carrying flags. Food stalls sold snacks and music blared.

The next paragraph allows that “the protests appeared to have a more violent edge than in previous weeks. Some young men brought knives and fence cutters.”

Quotes from so-called protesters buried 23 paragraphs later in the article betray the violent nature of the riots.

The Post reported on armed rioters boasting about their desire to kill Jews if they can penetrate the Israeli border:

While some said they would abide by official calls to keep the demonstrations peaceful, others talked about their enthusiasm to break into Israel and wreak havoc.

“We are excited to storm and get inside,” said 23-year-old Mohammed Mansoura. When asked what he would do inside Israel, he said, “Whatever is possible, to kill, throw stones.”

Two other young men carried large knives and said they wanted to kill Jews on the other side of the fence.

The newspaper claimed the “vast majority” of “demonstrators” were unarmed, but went on to cite one man who pulled out a gun and downed an Israeli drone:

The vast majority of demonstrators were unarmed, but near a parking area, a man pulled out an AK-47 and took aim at an Israeli drone dropping leaflets. He let off a stream of bullets into the air and brought it down. Later, more gunfire was heard as Palestinian factions argued over who would keep the downed drone, onlookers said.

It was not clear how the newspaper could state as fact that the “vast majority” of “demonstrators” were unarmed. The Post did not relate how it obtained such data.

The Post reported organizers may have deceptively sent rioters toward Israeli soldiers using false information:

At a gathering point east of Gaza City, organizers urged protesters over loudspeakers to burst through the fence, telling them Israeli soldiers were fleeing their positions, even as they were reinforcing them.

Hamas organized yesterday’s massive escalation to coincide with the official opening ceremony of the U.S. embassy in Jerusalem and the Palestinians’ commemoration today of so-called Nakba Day, which mourns the “catastrophe” of Israel’s founding.

Hamas has been selling the nearly two-month-long mass riots as “return rallies,” marketing the fiction that Palestinians have a so-called “right of return” to the State of Israel while also demanding a state immediately.

The Palestinians have infamously turned down every Israeli statehood offer, including those that came with a shared capital in Jerusalem. Those offers were made at Camp David in 2000, Taba in 2001, the Annapolis Conference in 2007, and more offers were made in 2008 and reportedly in 2014. In each of these cases, the PA refused generous Israeli offers of statehood and bolted negotiations without counteroffers. Only yesterday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu yet again called on the Palestinians to return to the negotiating table.

The only thing standing in the way of the Palestinians having a state — even one with a foothold in Jerusalem — is the Palestinians’ own abject refusal to accept numerous statehood offers while rejecting Israel’s very existence.

BREAKING: North Korea Threatens To Scrap Trump Meeting

On Tuesday, North Korea announced that it has canceled a high-level meeting with South Korean leaders and has threatened to scrap the highly-anticipated meeting with President Donald Trump due to military drills that are taking place in South Korea.

Yonhap News Agency reports:

The North's Korean Central News Agency said the Max Thunder drills between the South Korean and U.S. air forces are a rehearsal for invasion of the North and a provocation amid warming inter-Korean ties.

The talks between North Korea and South Korea were supposed to take place on Wednesday "on the southern side of the truce village of Panmunjom," Yonhap reported.

Each nation had reportedly selected five delegates to attend the now-canceled meeting.

Here, a full transcript of Trump’s remarks.

My fellow Americans, today I want to update the world on our efforts to prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon. The Iranian regime is the leading state sponsor of terror. It exports dangerous missiles, fuels conflicts across the Middle East, and supports terrorist proxies and militias such as Hezbollah, Hamas, the Taliban, and al-Qaeda.

Over the years, Iran and its proxies have bombed American embassies and military installations, murdered hundreds of American servicemembers, and kidnapped, imprisoned, and tortured American citizens. The Iranian regime has funded its long reign of chaos and terror by plundering the wealth of its own people. No action taken by the regime has been more dangerous than its pursuit of nuclear weapons and the means of delivering them.

In 2015, the previous administration joined with other nations in a deal regarding Iran’s nuclear program. This agreement was known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, or JCPOA. In theory, the so-called Iran deal was supposed to protect the United States and our allies from the lunacy of an Iranian nuclear bomb, a weapon that will only endanger the survival of the Iranian regime.

In fact, the deal allowed Iran to continue enriching uranium and, over time, reach the brink of a nuclear breakout. The deal lifted crippling economic sanctions on our end in exchange for very weak limits on the regime’s nuclear activity and no limits at all on its other maligned behavior, including sinister activities in Syria, Yemen, and other places all around the world. In other words, at the point when the United States had maximum leverage, this disastrous deal gave this regime—and it’s a regime of great terror—many billions of dollars, some of it in actual cash. A great embarrassment to me as a citizen and to all citizens of the United States.

A constructive deal could easily have been struck at the time, but it wasn’t. At the heart of the Iran deal was a giant fiction that a murderous regime desired only a peaceful nuclear-energy program. Today, we have definitive proof that this Iranian promise was a lie. Last week, Israel published intelligence documents, long-concealed by Iran, conclusively showing the Iranian regime and its history of pursuing nuclear weapons.

The fact is, this was a horrible, one-sided deal that should have never, ever been made. It didn’t bring calm, it didn’t bring peace, and it never will. In the years since the deal was reached, Iran’s military budget has grown by almost 40 percent, while its economy is doing very badly. After the sanctions were lifted, the dictatorship used its new funds to build nuclear-capable missiles, support terrorism, and cause havoc throughout the Middle East and beyond.

The agreement was so poorly negotiated that even if Iran fully complies, the regime could still be on the verge of a nuclear breakout in just a short period of time. The deal’s sunset provisions are totally unacceptable. If I allowed this deal to stand, there would soon be a nuclear-arms race in the Middle East. Everyone would want their weapons ready by the time Iran had theirs.

Making matters worse, the deal’s inspection provisions lack adequate mechanisms to prevent, detect, and punish cheating—and don’t even have the unqualified right to inspect many important locations, including military facilities. Not only does the deal fail to halt Iran’s nuclear ambitions, but it also fails to address the regime’s development of ballistic missiles that could deliver nuclear warheads.

Finally, the deal does nothing to constrain Iran’s destabilizing activities, including its support for terrorism. Since the agreement, Iran’s bloody ambitions have grown only more brazen. In light of these glaring flaws, I announced last October that the Iran deal must be either renegotiated or terminated. Three months later, on January 12, I repeated these conditions. I made clear that if the deal could not be fixed, the United States would no longer be a party to the agreement.

>>1422386

Over the past few months, we have engaged extensively with our allies and partners around the world, including France, Germany, and the United Kingdom. We have also consulted with our friends from across the Middle East. We are unified in our understanding of the threat and in our conviction that Iran must never acquire a nuclear weapon.

After these consultations, it is clear to me that we cannot prevent an Iranian nuclear bomb under the decaying and rotten structure of the current agreement. The Iranian deal is defective at its core. If we do nothing, we know exactly what will happen. In just a short period of time, the world’s leading state sponsor of terror will be on the cusp of acquiring the world’s most dangerous weapon. Therefore, I am announcing today that the United States will withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal.

In a few moments, I will sign a presidential memorandum to begin reinstating U.S. nuclear sanctions on the Iranian regime. We will be instituting the highest level of economic sanction. Any nation that helps Iran in its quest for nuclear weapons could also be strongly sanctioned by the United States. America will not be held hostage to nuclear blackmail. We will not allow American cities to be threatened with destruction and we will not allow a regime the chance death to America to gain access to the most deadly weapons on Earth. Today’s action sends a critical message. The United States no longer makes empty threats. When I make promises, I keep them. In fact, at this very moment, Secretary Pompeo is on his way to North Korea in preparation for my upcoming meeting with Kim Jong-Un. Plans are being made, relationships are building, hopefully a deal will happen, and with the help of China, South Korea, and Japan, a future of great prosperity and security can be achieved for everyone.

As we exit the Iran deal, we will be working with our allies to find a real, comprehensive, and lasting solution to the Iranian nuclear threat. This will include efforts to eliminate the threat of Iran’s ballistic-missile program, to stop its terrorist activities worldwide, and to block its menacing activity across the Middle East. In the meantime, powerful sanctions will go into full effect. If the regime continues its nuclear aspirations, it will have bigger problems than it has ever had before.

Finally, I want to deliver a message to the long-suffering people of Iran: The people of America stand with you. It has now been almost 40 years since this dictatorship seized power and took a proud nation hostage. Most of Iran’s 80 million citizens have sadly never known an Iran that prospered in peace with its neighbors and commanded the admiration of the world. But the future of Iran belongs to its people. They are the rightful heirs to a rich culture and an ancient land and they deserve a nation that does justice to their dreams, honor to their history, and glory to their god.

Iran’s leaders will naturally say that they refuse to negotiate a new deal. They refuse and that is fine. I probably would say the same thing if I was in their position. But the fact is they are going to want to make a new and lasting deal, one that benefits all of Iran and the Iranian people. When they do, I am ready, willing, and able. Great things can happen for Iran and great things can happen for the peace and stability that we all want in the Middle East. There has been enough suffering, death, and destruction. Let it end now. Thank you. God bless you.

THANK GOD: Pope Francis Hints At Retirement

Since his election in 2013, Pope Francis remained one of the more controversial far-left liberal popes in the history of the Catholic Church. You may remember his continuous endorsements of socialism and socialist ‘ideals’. You may also remember when TGP reported Francis told believers that Muslim terrorism does not exist and the dangers of radicalism exists equally in all religions. While it may seem far-fetched, the Pope also instructed the Vatican newspaper to praise Karl Marx…

Well, all things may be reverting back to normal soon, as it has just come out that the Pope is exploring retirement. THANK GOD.

During the Pope’s Tuesday homily, Pope Francis made the remark, “When I read this, I think about myself, because I’m a bishop and I’ll have to take my leave.”

He went further to say that Pope Benedict XVI’s retirement “opened the door” to the resignation of future popes.

Pope Francis has yet to directly say if he definitively will retire and what that timeline would look like.

Koch Brothers Attack Trump

The Koch Brothers’ political bank Freedom Partners is working against President Donald Trump’s tariffs with an ad “targeted to attendees of the May 15 United States Trade Representative (USTR) meeting to hear public comments regarding new tariffs on a wide array of goods imported from China.”

Freedom Partners is trying to whip up backlash to the tariffs in order to hurt Trump’s policymaking potential, and it underscores how the traditional boogey-men of the media are actually part of the Resistance, too. When the entire Republican Establishment and Mitt Romney went hard against Trump, the Republican Party changed.

Now, NeverTrumpers are split between pretending to be Trump supporters and going along with it until they can get Nikki Haley or Mike Pence into office, or they’re just bitter and angry somewhere.

The Libertarian world is in turmoil right now because Trump supporters have been getting purged in favor of strictly establishment voices and progressives.

On April 19, The Cato Institute vice president of research Brink Lindsey tweeted his dislike for former congressman Ron Paul for his “hideous corruption of libertarian ideas.” Accusing the most important member of the Libertarian movement of spreading ideas that “[put] his movement in the Trumpism family tree,” the Cato scholar accused both the president and the former presidential candidate of being xenophobic…
