Not quite.

Judah was also sent into captivity for burning incense to the QUEEN OF HEAVEN.

If the North couldn't get away with their idolatry,

neither could Judah.

In fact, Judah was worse than Northern Israel in so far as they placed their idolatry in the very Temple of God itself.

Yes, actually they did,

but in separate groups.

There wasn't only one wave of returns.

There was one in the days of Zechariah and Haggai,

and another two at least during the days of Ezra and Nehemiah.

The obedient Jews who had lived in Northern Israel,

returned to Judah because the strangers imported into Northern Israel had their own temple on Mt. Gerizim.

The obedient ones were in effect,

exiles from their own territories,

at least until Judah once again fell during the Greek control.
