I'd like to see The General say something like "I was talking with a digital soldier about a week ago. I told him a story about my early years in the service. About how I was told to do things that seemed to contradict one another. This went on and on and on until it was time to begin the mission. Then and only then did I understand why the confusing steps taken up to that point were necessary to accomplish the final mission".
That'd be grand.
