The Italian Chamber of Deputies, the lower house of the bicameral Parliament of Italy, went into absolute mayhem when members held up protest signs that read “no green pass” to protest the domestic vaccine passport.

Some members of the Fratelli d’Italia (Brothers of Italy) party, opposed to the provision, displayed protest signs that said “no green pass” showing their disapproval of the Italian coronavirus passport. One member of parliament was chased through the chamber by security as he held the sign above his head, before he was pursued out of the chamber.

The Green Pass will be Italy’s domestic digital or paper COVID-19 certificate that will indicate if a person has received at least one vaccination, tested negative within 48 hours, or has recently recovered from the virus. The pass will be an extension of the European Union’s COVID-19 Digital Certificate, which was implemented July 1.

Tourists entering Italy will also be required to obtain a green pass. Based on the new regulations that were unveiled on July 22, visitors will also be subject to the same requirements when it comes to attending public places. According to the National Tourism Agency of Italy, starting August 6, everyone over the age of 12 must present the Green Pass in order to be allowed access to certain activities and services.

National File previously reported Italy’s massive protest, as unvaccinated Italian citizens were placed on severe movement restrictions, barring entrance into stadiums, museums, theaters, cinemas, exhibition centers, swimming pools, and gyms unless they can provide government-approved paperwork allowing their entry.

Mom arrested after her 12-year-old daughter gives birth

Oklahoma police arrested a woman after her 12-year-old daughter gave birth – and the family welcomed the child’s rapist to a baby shower.

Tulsa police said mom Desiree Castaneda and other family members knew about the victim’s relationship with 24-year-old Juan Miranda-Jara, who was reportedly surprised when he was arrested July 14 as he accompanied the 12-year-old to the hospital where she delivered.

“At the time, we received many questions along the lines of, ‘Where were the parents?’” Tulsa Police Department said in a statement posted to Facebook.

“The family permitted the relationship, and there are photos of the family throwing a baby shower for the victim and the suspect.”

Castaneda was slapped with charges of enabling child sex abuse and neglect. The victim’s dad is behind bars on a 12-year prison sentence for an unrelated case of first-degree rape, cops said.

Miranda-Jara was charged with first-degree rape of a minor when he showed up to the Hillcrest Hospital in midtown with the victim in mid-labor. When questioned, he reportedly admitted he was the father of the unborn child and “acted a bit unsure as to why police were even getting involved,” FOX23 reported.

“They walked in just like any other couple would; excited to deliver their newborn child,” Officer Danny Bean told the local station.

Miranda-Jara even allegedly posted that he was in a relationship with the girl on his Facebook profile, the station said. Photos of Miranda-Jara and the victim at the baby shower were also posted to his page, FOX23 stated.

“We don’t get this kind of call every day,” Bean told the station. “It certainly was a surprise for everyone involved.”

Human trafficking 'in our own backyard' AFP warns

Human trafficking is happening in "our own backyard", the Australian Federal Police have warned.

On the World Day Against Trafficking In Persons, the AFP sent out a call for Australians to "listen and learn" from the victims of modern slavery.

In a Victim Impact Statement provided to the court following the conviction of a Sydney man in March of this year, a victim of exit trafficking told of the severe impact on her life and her young daughter.

"Because of his actions, I live in constant fear and stress knowing the lengths he will go to find us and harm us. This fear and stress impacts my physical, emotional and mental health," she said.

"Because of his actions and threats, I am constantly worried about my daughter. I worry about this every day.

"I am always thinking about how to keep my daughter safe. This is very stressful for me.

"Ordinary things like going out to the shops or to the park has become more difficult because I fear for our safety."

AG Merrick Garland threatens legal action if Texas Gov. Abbott does not rescind executive order on migrant transportation

U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland on Thursday threatened legal action if Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) does not rescind an executive order that Garland characterized as "both dangerous and unlawful."

Abbott issued an executive order Wednesday that declared in part: "No person, other than a federal, state, or local law-enforcement official, shall provide ground transportation to a group of migrants who have been detained by [U.S. Customs and Border Protection] for crossing the border illegally or who would have been subject to expulsion under the Title 42 order."

The GOP governor explained that the move is meant to decrease the risk of coronavirus exposure in the state.

"The dramatic rise in unlawful border crossings has also led to a dramatic rise in COVID-19 cases among unlawful migrants who have made their way into our state, and we must do more to protect Texans from this virus and reduce the burden on our communities," Abbott said, according to a news release about the order. "This Executive Order will reduce the risk of COVID-19 exposure in our communities."

But in a letter to Abbott on Thursday, Garland asserted that there were various issues with the governor's order, including that it would place people's health and safety at risk. " The Order is both dangerous and unlawful," he wrote.

"The Order would jeopardize the health and safety of noncitizens in federal govern­ment custody, federal law enforcement personnel and their families, and our communities," Garland wrote. "Among other harms, the Order would exacerbate and prolong overcrowding in facilities and shelters and obstruct the federal government's arrangements with state, local, and non­ governmental partners to ensure that released individuals are transported for appropriate COVID-19 testing to address public health concerns.

"Additionally, because federal law requires individuals processed for release to appear before immigration courts or report to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement offices throughout the country, the Order directly interferes with the implementation of federal immigration law," Garland said.

Garland said that if Abbott does not rescind the order, the government plans to employ every appropriate legal remedy to make certain that the Lone Star State "does not interfere with the functions of the federal govern­ment."

In a statement responding to Garland's letter, Abbott blamed the Biden administration for the crisis along the nation's southern border and said that he will take all actions in line with the law to carry out his duty to defend the the health and safety of Texans.

"The current crisis at our southern border, including the overcrowding of immigration facilities and the devastating spread of COVID-19 that the influx of non-citizens is causing, is entirely the creation of the Biden Administration and its failed immigration policies," Abbott said. "By choosing not to enforce immigration laws, removing sound policies like the Remain in Mexico program, and failing to make the most robust use of Title 42 authorities, this Administration has directly caused the unprecedented crisis Texas is facing. And it is increasingly a matter of grave public-health concern as unlawful migrants enter from countries with lower vaccination rates than the United States."

I've been trying for quite some time to get people to understand the full scope of the Dr. Fauci "situation," but it's clear that segments of our national leadership are preventing an honest and open inquiry into his actions because they fear the backlash or collateral damage that will result from the tarnishing of their sacred cow. It's time Americans were told the truth: that the grant money sent to the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) is merely a footnote in this narrative. After all, Dr. Fauci controls nearly $4 billion of annual grant funding for the NIAID, the institute within the NIH he has directed since 1984. Over 37 years, more than 50,000 research projects have been supported with more than $50 billion (conservatively) of taxpayer funds that have been doled out to them.

It's reasonable to hold him accountable for the results of his organization's efforts, but the direct funding received by the WIV for gain-of-function (GOF) research represents only a tiny fraction of Fauci's involvement in enabling risky research. The 2017 repeal of the GOF ban was decided without the consultation of the Trump administration, even though news coverage during the pandemic blamed him for the decision. Neither Fauci nor his boss, NIH Director Francis Collins, bothered to clarify the record, which looks especially disgusting in the wake of persistent rejections of Sen. Rand Paul's assertions (with accompanying evidence) that the NIH financially supported such research.
