Agreed. Still, it's interesting how the DOJ is acting under Biden. IRS is a bureau of the Treasury Deparment not Justice. It would be akin to the Postal Service writing a Memo stating that the Department of Energy or Defense must do X.
Biden's DOJ is insane. This week alone they have published recommendations to State Legislatives and Treasury as to how those bodies, which are outside of their jurisdiction, should conduct their business. In reality, these things have no legal standing, but to the average citizen ignorant of the functions of government, these declarations appear to have the color of law, when they are nothing more than propagandistic statements meant to give outlets like CNN and the NYT headlines like, "DOJ sayeth, therefore it is."
