Bipartisan So-Called ‘Infrastructure’ Bill 2,700 Pages Long

If the United States Senate votes this week on the bipartisan so-called “infrastructure” bill, it would be humanly impossible for any U.S. senator to read it before voting on it.

The text of a draft of the bill, obtained exclusively by Breitbart News from U.S. Senate sources not authorized to leak it, shows the plan is 2,701 pages long.

The text, which Breitbart News is publishing here so the public can see what Congress is doing in secret, shows the plan is far more sprawling and expansive than GOP senators who backed advancing it without text even existing led their constituents to believe.

Sources familiar with the drafting of the text of this bill told Breitbart News it was being written in secret for months outside the normal legislative process, which is supposed to happen in relevant committees of jurisdiction. These sources made the unauthorized leak of the draft text to Breitbart News out of concern that the murky and secretive process behind this bill may have led to widespread corruption throughout its nearly three thousand pages.

Here is a picture of the finished 2,700-page legislation printed out:

Afghan Government Forces Prepare Large Operation In Herat As Taliban Fighters Breach City’s Main Defense Line

On August 31, the Taliban claimed that its fighters had breached the main defense line of the northwestern Afghan city of Herat.

Zabiullah Mujahid, a spokesman for the Taliban, shared on Twitter a video showing fighters of the group in the outskirts of Heart. According to Mujahid, the fighters are now advancing inside the city.

Earlier, the Afghan government sent large reinforcements of security forces to Herat in order to repel the Taliban’s attack, which began four days earlier.

Abdul Rahman Rahman, senior deputy of the Afghan Interior Ministry, revealed that government forces are preparing to launch a large-scale operation to push Taliban fighters away from Herat city.

“We have come with the security forces from Kabul and these forces have joined Herat forces,” the TOLO News quoted Rahman as saying. “We will act as soon as possible to defend the Herat people.”

At least 20 people were killed, including 16 security force members, and 90 people were wounded in the past four days of fighting in Herat.

As for now, the Taliban has the upper hand in the battle of Herat. The situation may change in the upcoming few days, especially if the Afghan Air Force intervene.

The Taliban has been advancing on several fronts since April 14, when the US announced a plan to pull its troops out from Afghanistan before September 11. The group claims that it does not seek to take over the country by force, yet its moves on the ground suggest otherwise.

10 Republicans Back Bill Calling For Audit Of The CDC

A group of 10 Republican senators is backing a bill that would require an audit of the decision-making and public health messaging by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The Senate bill (pdf), titled ‘Restore Public Health Institution Trust Act of 2021, would require the Government Accountability Office (GAO) to assess the CDC’s public health messaging and decision making and prepare a report on the matter.

The bill requires the report to include a review of the data the CDC used to make its recommendations and whether the agency’s “inconsistent messaging” had an impact on the public’s trust and willingness to take the COVID-10 vaccine.

“These guidelines, like most of the Biden Administration’s actions these days, make little sense and seem without scientific direction,” Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) said in a statement, referring to the CDC recent reversal of masking guidance for fully vaccinated people.

“Americans have spent the last year and a half making tremendous sacrifices to halt the virus’s spread, but they are confused and have lost trust in our institutions. The mixed messaging could also degrade trust in the efficacy of vaccines.”

The bill would also require the GAO to determine whether outside entities, including teachers’ unions, were in a position to impact the CDC’s guidance.

The CDC revised its mask guidance last week, telling fully vaccinated people to don masks in crowded indoor settings. The agency based the decision on a study of an outbreak in Massachusetts which found that 74 percent of the people infected had been fully vaccinated. The study also suggested that fully vaccinated people who become infected with the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus, could spread the virus the same way unvaccinated people do.

The CCP virus, commonly known as the novel coronavirus, is the pathogen that causes COVID-19.

“The CDC’s flip flop on mask guidance sends a confusing message to Montanans and the American people, and has not been clearly justified with data,” Sen. Steve Daines (R-Mont.) said in a statement.

“The CDC needs to improve its communications with the public and stop undermining vaccine confidence.”

“Over the past year and a half, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued conflicting health guidance, at times only weeks apart, and at times without supporting clinical data,” Sen. Cythia Lummis (r-Wyo.) said in a statement.

“Their actions have unnecessarily divided our country, and fueled partisan conflict. The job of the CDC is to help control and prevent disease, not play politics. It’s time for oversight and reform.”

Twitter Divided as LeBron James Filmed Pushing Fan Running Toward Him at Concert

LeBron James, 36, is an iconic American basketballer who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers, a National Basketball Association (NBA) team. Many refer to him as one of the greatest basketball players in the history of the sport.

A video of LeBron James pushing an eager fan away from himself after the latter tried to approach him at an Usher concert sparked passionate discussion on Twitter on Sunday, with people trying to agree on whether the Lakers star "assaulted" the fan or was simply defending his personal space.

In a short clip filmed in the darkness of the concert, James is seen making his way through the crowd, apparently accompanied by his wife and security guards. A fan, with smartphone ready, makes an attempt to rush to his idol, but the basketballer abruptly pushes him away and continues walking.

The video was posted over the weekend and quickly went viral, drawing hundreds of users encouraged to express their opinion.

The top-tier sportsman and his management have not commented on the situation.

Earlier, the NBA star became the subject of criticism over his part in a "Space Jam" movie sequel, "A New Generation", with people complaining that despite a high rating, the movie was targeted exclusively at families. His performance as an actor also received some backlash from netizens.
