Günther, in German, uses the umlaut ü. On a keyboard with no umlauts, and without using the ascii code, it would be written Guenther.
It's equivalent to the English Gerald.
Gunther (no umlaut) would be pronounced (roughly) GOOnther by a German mother tongue. Günther (umlaut) would be pronounced (roughly) GEARRNnther by a German mother tongue.
Probably means mothing, because using it without the umlaut is a lot easier in the US.
