India has not met requests for granting the manufacturers indemnity from lawsuits.

"The government cannot give indemnity to anyone," the official said, declining be named as the discussions were private and no decisions had been finalised.

Seems to have to do with big pharma requesting indemnity, but they are not giving the native Indian v@x co indemnity, legal wrangling ensues.

How does a govt give all manufacturers indemnity? I'm pretty sure I didn't vote for that. Can't make me take the v@x AND give away my legal rights too.
