Actor Matt Damon said his daughter taught him "months ago" not to use the “f-slur for a homosexual,” which he has vowed not to say anymore. The actor told The Sunday Times that he was eating a meal with his family when he used the term in a joke, which was met with dismay from his children, who are 15, 12 and 10. Damon said one of his daughters got up from the meal and left.
“She went to her room and wrote a very long, beautiful treatise on how that word is dangerous. I said, ‘I retire the f-slur!’ I understood.”
