It is in Bacoli in the archaeological park. This fig tree has its roots in the ancient stone vault in one of the structures of the Mercury baths. It is located in the sector of the Baths of Mercury which occupies the north-eastern area of the archaeological park and extends over a single terrace, the lowest. The limits of this sector are not known and the area itself enclosed in the Park has been only partially excavated. As a result of bradyseism, these environments are now at the same altitude as the sea and therefore invaded by water.
