But Weiner's laptop wasn't "seized". That was the cover story. His lawyer turned it over. Which means he was cooperating. Not sure on the logistics of who would've handled that since I'm not familiar with NY area. I'm quite sure that word spread quickly though, seeing how fast it was picked up in the public reporting. So it's possible that they were monitoring who was talking about it still, or who was talking about doing something about it (like leaking more info). IDK. Just throwing that out there.
