While I usually agree with PJW's rant videos, I don’t watch the MSM, so I would have to take his word about the way "This is America" is allegedly being employed by the ARTIST and the corporate Left to promote identity politics and racial division.

I just don't know, but it certainly makes sense.

On the other hand, as I understand it, the difference between "propaganda" and "art" is that the former sends a message with a somewhat narrow focus lending to fewer potential alternative interpretations, while true “Art” functions more like a dynamic fountain of potential meaning with a far greater diversity of potential interpretations which can vary across time and by those viewing it.

IF the Left is pushing a SJW interpretation, then PJW is simply amplifying that divisive view by suggesting, for example, that there is no metaphor for black on black violence. But as many comments to PJW's video pointed out (see graphic), that’s not really true because Gambino, after-all, is black and he kills several blacks in the video.

I also saw a video the other day by a black conservative (Brandon Tatum) who also interpreted the content of the "This is America" video as having a much deeper significance than the sort of knee jerk reaction that PJW puts forth.

Which makes me wonder….

If our goal as Patriots is to unify America for Truth and Justice for ALL, then perhaps a more EFFECTIVE way to defeat the divisiveness of the LEFT (&Right) is to demonstrate how ridiculous a SJW interpretation would be, while highlighting other meaningful interpretations which DO NOT incite racial anger or victim hood among any group. Now that would be an EPIC perspective. Think about it :-)
