Anon observation: the rabid, libby normies on fakebook have gotten REAL quiet.
They are posting kids, recipes, etc - anything but what everyone else is talking about. Kek. Anon is trying to "Be Best" but it's so tempting.

Trying to put my pride aside and keep my mouth shut and just be grateful they seem to be in a dilemma of conscience. They are friends and family and I dont want to alienate them.

Not just houses, land too. What used to be $2-3k an acre, is now going for $10-15k a acre and a lot of it already clear cut - and it's selling like hotcakes. Normies desperate to get out of the city.
Can attest to that. Pros and cons to it. Anon and spouse are eyeing moving to more remote land. Neither of us has ever lived in a subdivision and never wanted to. Cant stop progress and I cant blame normies for wanting to get out of the city. It's selfish, I know, to want them to go somewhere else. I would do exactly the same if I were them.
We have gone to a few lifelong neighbors to soon having hundreds of neighbors. Not anons cup of tea. Will just have to move on, I guess.
