Haven't checked yet if they are related, but that's beside the point.
Seems a silly little coincidence with such election errors.
Wonder if they were testing on purpose to see how much they could fuck it up OR they saw how easy it was to fuck up this new electronic voting thing, they copied it. Following a formula? lol
New York City Board of Elections Chief Fired
Oct. 26 2010
With Election Day less than a week away, the head of New York City’s embattled Board of Elections was fired on Tuesday after a series of problems with a new computerized voting system and the ballots prepared for the general election.
The troubles that occurred during last month’s primary, including the failure of dozens of polling sites to open on time, prompted a furious Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg to declare the board’s handling of the election “a royal screw-up.”
Election officials said that the firing of the board’s executive director, George Gonzalez, would have no impact on next Tuesday’s election when New Yorkers are expected to turn out in much bigger numbers than they did for the Sept. 14 primary to vote for governor, attorney general, comptroller, Congress and other key offices.
