Charleston, WEST VIRGINIA – A person who was fully vaccinated against the Coronavirus has died from the disease, health officials said Wednesday

According to the Kanawha-Charleston Health Department, the 76-year-old man passed away at a hospital from COVID-19 complications.

Dr. Sherri Young said the unidentified man did have an underlying medical condition but did not elaborate further.

Dr. Young reiterated the need for people to get vaccinated and said this news should not discourage the public from taking the jab.
