I don't think Cuomo is a solid, from the dems POV, and he is also an electable threat to the dem gang currently in control.
He also knows everything possible about NYC, specifically SDNY. James is rumored to want to be governor, for example, and Cuomo could wreck anything about James.
Figure, too, during the Covid panic Cuomo had a hospital ship, the Javits Center and a tent hospital in Central Park, but still sent elderly patients into nursing homes. He was joined by 5 or 6 other dem governors who did the same thing, so I can't rule out he was ordered to do that by dem suits. Italian guys from NYC would have more more basic empathy for the elderly, IMO. The whole thing, from Cuomo, doesn't smell right to me.
Also figure ithat Cuomo and Trump parents were acquaintances. Trump is 11 years older, but they would almost certainly have known each other from early on. Trump may have been a big brother figure to Cuomo, not sure, but that kind of stuff never dies.
I don't consider the shit talking and insult slinging Trump and Cuomo do with each other meaningful. Those are terms of endearment for NY kids. They're only polite to people they don't like.
Put it all together, and it's possible Cuomo could help Trump if Cuomo got tired of the dem bullshitt., IMO.
Target now is going to be all things Trump, because he's beating Bidan up in the public common sense vector. We're getting to the, "i don't like Trump's personality, but the bastard got shit done right.", stage.
Bidan, in comparison, is a fuck up. It's like sitting in a monster movie with you hands over your eyes, peaking through spread fingers every now and then to see if the gory shit is over with. You know it's going to happen.
TL;DR; I can't rule out Cuomo/Trump ties that go to back in the day, and Cuomo can fuck up the dems big time, especially if he decided to ally with Trump. Trump may be the only guy who can save Cuomo's ass at this point.
