LOS ANGELES (CNS) — Defense attorneys have filed a motion to have Ed Buck's convictions for providing the drugs that killed two men in his West Hollywood apartment overturned, arguing that the government "utterly failed" to prove any of the federal charges beyond a reasonable doubt, according to court papers obtained Wednesday morning.

Republican mayoral candidate Curtis Sliwa on Wednesday demanded that Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s cable TV show host brother to “condemn” the rampant sexual harassment documented by Attorney General Letitia James’ newly released probe.
“I would hope that his brother Chris [Cuomo], who has not only enabled him and knows of his behavioral problems as any brothers would know of another brother, would not act like a Fredo and would stand up to his brother and use his bully pulpit on CNN and condemn his actions now that there is documentary evidence,” said the Guardian Angels founder at a protest at Cuomo’s Manhattan office.
The Republican mayoral candidate insisted that it’s now the responsibility of the CNN host, who on Tuesday night avoided broaching the subject of his big brother’s sexual harassment scandal, to “use his journalistic pulpit” to denounce his older brother.
“I think it is incumbent upon Chris Cuomo himself for all the times he embraced his brother, he embellished the achievements of his brother, he had fun with his brother, to now use his journalistic pulpit to condemn his brother and talk about how others in families should never accept or be tolerant of that behavior,” said Sliwa.

ALBANY, NY—In the wake of damning revelations concerning the New York governor’s sexual misconduct, an increasingly desperate Andrew Cuomo attempted to shift media focus back onto the nursing home deaths caused by his administration at a Wednesday press conference.
“Of course, I appreciate the concern about these women’s allegations, but let’s not forget that I made a concerted effort to cover up the deaths of 9,250 seniors who died because of my negligence—that’s really what we should be talking about, right?” said a visibly panicked Cuomo, who proceeded to deflect several reporter’s questions by cuing up a slideshow featuring pictures of the doctored documents and his rescinded statewide order demanding nursing homes accept elderly patients carrying the coronavirus or else face legal consequences.
“Let’s look at the facts here: I sent throngs of sick senior citizens into New York nursing homes.
That’s a terrible decision.
Then I cooked the books so that no one knew the toll of my incompetence.
Insane, huh?

I don’t know, guys. Maybe focus on that.”
At press time, the embattled governor announced that he was also an open book if any reporters wanted to talk about the corruption allegations against him.
