Pair of Russian SATANISTS confess to murdering, dismembering & cannibalizing victims as part of sick ritual, local media reports

Two Satan-worshippers have reportedly been detained by Russian cops after they confessed to committing grisly murders out in the remote woodlands of the country's Far North before apparently cutting up and even eating the corpses.

News site Mash splashed the gruesome details on Thursday, naming the occult-loving duo as Andrey Tregubenko and Olga Bolshakova, living in the capital, Moscow. They had apparently been initially called in for questioning by police on drugs charges, before making the gory admission that they were responsible for the deaths of two young people in the forests of Karelia, which borders Finland, Sweden and Norway.

The victims were said to have been lured out to the vast region by Tregubenko and Bolshakova, who then proceeded to dismember their bodies and eat them.

A missing-persons notification dating back to 2016 identifies the two dead people as Platon Stepanov and Viktoria Zaitseva, both aged 27 at the time they vanished.

According to Mash, while friends and relatives were searching for the murdered pair, Tregubenko and Bolshakova kept the whereabouts of the bodies a secret.

In 2010, Russian lawmakers moved to ban occult groups and supposed mystic healers from advertising their services. Parliamentarians were said to be concerned by the prevalence of commercials encouraging the public to seek unorthodox support for everything from unfaithful husbands to hexes and incurable illnesses.

The case has echoes of a legendary series of murders committed by Andrey Chikatilo, dubbed the 'Butcher of Rostov' after he was found to have killed and eaten more than fifty victims, mostly in the southern Russian city. He was responsible for one of the country's most long-running strings of sexual assaults between 1978-1990, and was only caught after a lengthy manhunt by Soviet police.

Evidence of Biblical Earthquake Found in Jerusalem

TEL AVIV (Sputnik) - Israeli archaeologists detected ruins of an 8th century BCE earthquake described in the Bible during excavations in the City of David, Jerusalem earliest settlement, Israeli Antiquities Authority (IAA) said.

"The famous earthquake that occurred in Israel some 2800 years ago is mentioned in theBible,proofs were earlier detected in several parts of Israel, but researchers think that it is the first time they managed to identify remains, proving thatthe earthquake also happened in Jerusalem,"the IAA stated.

A layer of ruins, including smashed kitchen utensils and vessels, was found. Since no signs of fire are visible, the building destruction was not deliberate, it was caused bythe earthquake that shook Israelin the eighth century BCE.

“When we excavated the structure and uncovered an eighth-century BCE layer of destruction, we were very surprised, because we know that Jerusalem continued to exist in succession until theBabylonian destruction,which occurred about 200 years later. We asked ourselves what could have caused that dramatic layer of destruction we uncovered. Examining the excavation findings, we tried to check if there is a reference to it in the biblical text. Interestingly, the earthquake that appears in the Bible, in the books of Amos and Zechariah, occurred at the time when the building we excavated in theCity of David collapsed,”IAA excavation directors Dr. Joe Uziel and Ortal Chalaf said.

The archaeologists found fragments of vessels and small tables.

The findings of the excavations will be presented by the Antiquities Authority at a regular archaeological conference at the Megalim Institute, scheduled for early September.
