dstricts bs response on why they're choosing mask mandates over parent's choice. Took two weeks to get a reply but probably figured better before public meeting tonight kek

Thank you for your email. I am aware of the concern some of our families have regarding the mask requirement. I have responded to any parent who emailed with the following message. As of last week, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has modified their recommendation and now include masking in school settings while indoors regardless of vaccination status, thus aligning with the California Department of Public Health. At the time of my response below, the CDC only included masking if unvaccinated which did not align with the California Department of Public Health's requirement of masking in school settings regardless of vaccination status. I will include your email in the ones I have for the County, State, and Federal elected officials listed. This continues to be a fluid situation as we open schools next week for full time, in person instruction. Unlike the spring, our students will be able to remove masks while outdoors. There is an anticipated update to the indoor masking requirement in schools in November by the California Department of Public Health and if something changes prior we will be notifying our families
