President Woodrow Wilson carried haplogroup R1b-P312, confirmed by the Wilson DNA project.

Thomas Edison likely carried haplogroup R1b, according to the Edison Y-DNA project.

Benjamin Franklin carried haplogroup R1b, according to the Franklin DNA project.

John Witherspoon belonged to R1b-U106, based on the results from the Witherspoon DNA project.
