Good morning Anons I had a quick question:

Anyone else who uses email/social media 2 factor authentication getting codes sent to them from odd phone numbers?

I tried to log into YouTube today and waited for text after entering password but the browser wouldn’t let me go to enter the code I received from google. It just stuck on loading screen.

So I closed the browser and tried again but this time I received the same authentication code but from a different phone number:

‭614-695-4730‬

Which is listed as a ‘google voice phone number’ which apparently those types of numbers are easy to get and is used by a lot of scammers.

Is this happening to anyone else???

Is this some sort of hacking technique somebody is using against me?

This has been going on for months..

Yes it makes no sense. I’m on other side of country not that it matters. I googled that number and other people are getting 2 factor from there sometimes without even asking for codes.

So maybe the hackers are able to do this by obtaining a google voice number and associating an someone’s email account to that number?

Or somehow using that number to forward 2factor codes?

Wtf anons !

Any techfags know anything about this??
