6 City Council Members Served With Recall Notices In ‘Surf City USA’

Recall efforts have been launched against several Democrats in California, including the governor, the district attorneys in Los Angeles County and San Francisco, and at least three elected officials in the City of L.A.

But according to The Daily Pilot, “a vocal group of conservative Huntington Beach residents have decided to take further steps to try to shift the balance of power on the City Council” there. The outlet reported, “The residents have formed a group called ‘Save Surf City,’ with the intention of getting every council member but one off the dais.”As the epicenter of Southern California surf culture, Huntington Beach officially adopted the Surf City USA nickname in 2008. It is located in Orange County, about a 36-mile drive from L.A.

Six Huntington Beach City Council members were served with notices of intention to circulate recall petitions during Tuesday night’s meeting, City Clerk Robin Estanislau confirmed afterward. However, Estanislau said Wednesday that she would be informing the group that new member Rhonda Bolton is not eligible to be recalled, as she has yet to serve 90 days in office.

Bolton, Mayor Kim Carr, Mayor Pro Tem Barbara Delgleize, Mike Posey, Dan Kalmick and Natalie Moser are those targeted by a group of about 40 Surf City residents. That represents every City Council member except for Erik Peterson, a conservative who was absent from Tuesday’s meeting for personal reasons.On Friday, Save Surf City’s Twitter account said its recall effort “is already being attacked by the Deep State in town.”

CDC NOT MANDATING ITS EMPLOYEES TO BE VAXED

A concerned citizen contacted the Center for Disease Control (CDC) in Atlanta, GA yesterday and spoke to multiple employees. When asked if the CDC was mandating its employees to inject themselves with the experimental gene therapy called a ‘vaccine’ for the CCP virus, they pushed back, got defensive, and finally said no, they are not mandating CDC employees receive the ‘vaccine’ for Covid-19, which has not even been tested on animals and is still experimental, under an emergency use authorization only.

What Happens When the Government Breaks Its Own Laws?

In October of 2020, 14 people were arrested in Michigan and accused of being participants in a plot to kidnap Gov. Gretchen Whitmer. The governor had imposed draconian restrictions on religious, travel a nd commercial activities as a means, she claimed, to stem the spread of COVID-19. All of her restrictions were eventually found by courts to be unconstitutional under both the Michigan and the U.S. Constitutions.

Sixteen plotters were supposedly planning to try the governor in a makeshift court and, if convicted, to impose some sort of punishment. Before the plotters could spring into action, the FBI arrested 14 of them. Two plotters were not arrested since one of them was a paid FBI informant and the other was an undercover FBI agent.

In pleadings filed in federal court last week, the defendants revealed that the FBI enticed, cajoled and manipulated them into this plot, and even trained them and paid their expenses.

Can the government get away with planting the seeds of a crime in the minds of innocent folks, providing them with the means for the crime, arresting them before the crime takes place and then charging them with a crime that never occurred?

Here is the backstory.

The FBI has perfected the art of the sting. In the years immediately following the attacks on 9/11, FBI agents regularly found young Arab American males in the US who were essentially loners, disenchanted with life, and talked them into fantastic plots. The FBI supplied what the loners thought were explosives – for the New York City subway system and the Brooklyn Bridge, for example – and then heroically arrested them before the inert explosives could be detonated.

These FBI-manufactured plots happened dozens of times to unlucky and unwary targets. The targets were identified by gender and ethnicity – both characteristics that federal law prohibits the government from using as the sole or even a significant basis for prosecutorial decisions.

But the FBI repeatedly gets away with this because of wrongheaded Supreme Court decisions that permit law enforcement to lie, deceive and talk persons into committing crimes so long as they were predisposed to criminal acts before law enforcement came along. So, the typical sting begins with a street-level or barroom or internet conversation between an undercover agent and a target, during which the agent’s job is to elicit the target’s predisposition to commit a crime.

USA Today: “Dr. Anthony Fauci: Expect ‘a flood’ of COVID-19 vaccine mandates after full FDA approval”

As soon as the Food and Drug Administration issues a full approval for a COVID-19 vaccine, there will be “a flood” of vaccine mandates at businesses and schools across the nation, Dr. Anthony Fauci told USA TODAY’s editorial board on Friday.

Mandates aren’t going to happen at the federal level, but vaccine approval will embolden many groups, he predicted.

“Organizations, enterprises, universities, colleges that have been reluctant to mandate at the local level will feel much more confident,” he said.

“They can say, ‘If you want to come to this college or this university, you’ve got to get vaccinated. If you want to work in this plant, you have to get vaccinated. If you want to work in this enterprise, you’ve got to get vaccinated. If you want to work in this hospital, you’ve got to get vaccinated.'”

Fauci doesn’t see more lockdowns in the nation’s future. They were issued early in the pandemic to keep hospitals from being overwhelmed, known as “flattening the curve.”

More than 1 million people entered U.S. illegally in first six months of 2021

From January through July, the number totaled more than 1.1 million, enough to create the 10th largest city in the U.S.

The number of people entering the U.S. illegally who were processed by Border Patrol from January through July of this year totaled more than 1.1 million, enough to create the 10th largest city in the U.S. and more than the populations of nine states individually.

Currently, the tenth largest city is San Jose, Calif., with a population of 1.03 million.

To date, the number is also greater than each of the populations of Wyoming (581,075), Vermont (623,251), Alaska (724,357), North Dakota (770,026), South Dakota (896,581), Delaware (990,334), Rhode Island (1,061,509), Montana (1,085,004) and the District of Columbia (714,153).

If the numbers continue at the current rate, those crossing the southern border illegally will total close to the population of the fourth largest city of Houston, with a population of 2.3 million, a population greater than 15 states and the District of Columbia.

These numbers exclude the estimated 30,000 to 50,000 who reportedly evade capture every month.

In July, more than 210,000 people entered the U.S. across the Southwest border, an increase from 188,829 in June — primarily through the Rio Grande Valley and Del Rio sectors of Texas.

In the Rio Grande Valley sector, described as the "epicenter of the current surge," Border Patrol agents stopped roughly 78,000 people in July, up from 59,380 in June and 51,149 in May. These numbers exclude the tens of thousands who have evaded capture.

According to preliminary data from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the daily average encountered by Border Patrol was 6,779, including 616 unaccompanied children and 2,583 family units.

In July, roughly 19,000 unaccompanied children came through, surpassing the previously highest number of 18,877, recorded in March. In June, 15,253 unaccompanied children entered the U.S. illegally.

In July, the second-highest number of families in recorded history — 80,000 — came through, up from 55,805 in June. The highest number, 88,857, entered in May 2019.

Border Patrol officials say their facilities are strained with 17,778 people in custody as of Sunday alone, with the Rio Grande Valley sector holding 10,002.

July's preliminary total of 210,000 is the highest number of people recorded entering the U.S. illegally in over 20 years. Since January, Border Patrol has found that people have come from over 150 countries.

Riots In South Africa: Causes, Interests And Consequences

In July 2021, South Africa was swept by the largest wave of violence seen since the fall of apartheid in 1994. The protests that began on July 8 have quickly turned into pogroms that involved thousands of people.

The nominal cause for the outbreak of riots was the arrest of a former President of South Africa Jacob Zuma on charges of corruption. Mr. Zuma’s controversial activities have long raised questions.

After the fall of apartheid he acquired senior positions under Mandela’s administration. In that period, he was involved in an international scandal on a suspicious arms deal when Pretoria reportedly purchased warships and aircraft from European suppliers at exorbitant prices.

Despite all allegations, he became president in 2009, replacing the notorious Thabo Mbeki. New “Charming” president was handing over big chunks of the country’s economy to his Indian friends, the Gupta brothers, who were ‘at the heart of a long-running process of corruption in South Africa,’ according to the British Foreign Office.

First, Zuma was accused of corruption back in 2009. Then the case was postponed after he entered presidential office, but the disputes did not stop. In 2018, he had to resign, and legal procedures were resumed, new corruption charges were brought. The trial lasted for 3 years, until the summer of 2021, when Zuma defiantly refused to testify in the case of “seizure of power” and corruption. On June 29, he was found guilty of contempt of court, sentenced to 15 months in prison and ordered to surrender to the authorities before midnight on July 7, which he did at the very last moment. That same night, his supporters organized rallies, proclaiming Zuma a “prisoner of conscience”. A political crisis broke out.

The events came thick and fast amid a lasting economic crisis in the country. According to various estimates, the last years of Jacob Zuma’s presidency were marked with sharp drops in the economy. Ineffective administrative measures, populism and ineffectiveness of the health care system during the coronavirus pademic have dramatically aggravated the situation in the country. Just in 2020, the RSA’s economy shrank by 7%, and the number of citizens living below the poverty line increased by 2 million people.

It is no surprise that the protest has quickly engulfed a significant part of the poor black population in South Africa. The majority of those who finally took to the street were indifferent to the fate of Jacob Zuma itself. His arrest turned out to be a trigger of protest against hopeless poverty, the discrepancy between beautiful images on Sat TV and the reality on the streets. The protests instantly turned into a violent riot, “senseless and merciless,” as one of the classics of literature wrote.

The Fourth Branch of United States Government

Why does government seem to control so much of our lives now? What significant changes happened in the past 15 years that created a social shift and allowed government to influence almost every facet of our activity? Why has the previously ordinary become so complex? Why is it more difficult to be comfortably invisible and just live out the creed of pursuing ‘life liberty and happiness’? What is behind all this?….

We were not sleeping, we were wide awake. Perhaps distracted, yes; but we were wide awake when something shifted. A Fourth Branch of Government was quietly created, and technology allowed the tentacles of the system to touch us. That’s the root of it, and if we take the time to understand how the Fourth Branch originated questions about this perpetual angst start to make sense.

It is not my intent to outline the entire history of how we got to this place where the intelligence community now acts as the superseding fourth branch of government. Such an effort would be exhausting and likely take our discussion away from understanding the current dynamic.

History provided enough warnings from Dwight D Eisenhower (military), to John F Kennedy (CIA), to Richard Nixon (FBI), to all modern versions of warnings and frustrations from HPSCI Devin Nunes and ODNI Ric Grenell. None of those prior reference points are invalid and all documented outlines of historic reference are likely true and accurate. However, a generational review is not useful, the reference impacting us ‘right now‘ gets lost.

Instead we pick up the expansive and weaponized intelligence system as it manifests after 9/11/01, and my goal is to highlight how the modern version of the total intelligence apparatus has now metastasized into a fourth branch of government. It is this superseding branch that now touches and influences every facet of our life.

If we take the modern construct, originating at the speed of technological change, we can also see how the oversight or “check/balance” in our system of government became functionally obsolescent.

After many years of granular research about the intelligence apparatus inside our government, in the summer of 2020 I visited Washington DC to ask specific questions. My goal was to go where the influence agents within government actually operate, and to discover the people deep inside the institutions no-one elected and few people pay attention to.

Saudi Aramco Q2 Profits Nearly Quadruple Compared To 2020

Energy giant Saudi Aramco said Sunday its second-quarter profits for 2021 had nearly quadrupled compared to the same period last year on the back of higher oil prices.

Aramco said its net profit rose to $25.5 billion in the second quarter of the year, compared to $6.6 billion in the same quarter of 2020, owing to a stronger oil market and higher refining and chemicals margins, and with the easing of Covid-19 restrictions.

"Our second quarter results reflect a strong rebound in worldwide energy demand and we are heading into the second half of 2021 more resilient and more flexible, as the global recovery gains momentum," Aramco chief executive Amin Nasser said in a statement.

The announcement comes approximately two months after the company said it raised $6 billion from its first dollar-denominated Islamic bond sale, posting earlier this year a 30 percent jump in first quarter profits.

Aramco the kingdom's cash cow posted a 44.4 percent slump in 2020 net profit, piling pressure on government finances as Riyadh pursues its multi-billion dollar projects to diversify the economy.

The company's debt has climbed as Saudi Arabia was hammered last year by the double whammy of low prices and sharp cuts in production triggered by the coronavirus pandemic.

The world's leading oil producers agreed last month to continue to modestly boost output from August reaching a compromise after the United Arab Emirates blocked a deal.

An OPEC+ meeting decided to raise output by 400,000 barrels per day (bpd) each month from August to help fuel a global economic recovery as the pandemic eases.

Doctors May Lose Their License If They Spread 'Misinformation' On Covid Jabs, Medical Panel Threatens

The Federation of State Medical Boards under president and CEO Humayun Chaudhry sent out a statement last week threatening doctors that they may lose their medical licenses if they spread "misinformation" about covid vaccines.

The Federation of State Medical Boards warned July 29 that physicians and other healthcare professionals could be at risk of losing their medical licenses if they spread COVID-19 vaccine misinformation on social media, online and in the media.

FSMB, a nonprofit that represents all U.S. state medical boards, said any clinicians who create or spread vaccine misinformation or disinformation risk disciplinary action by state medical boards, including suspension or revocation of their medical license, according to a statement emailed to Becker's Hospital Review.

"Due to their specialized knowledge and training, licensed physicians possess a high degree of public trust and therefore have a powerful platform in society, whether they recognize it or not," FSMB said. "They also have an ethical and professional responsibility to practice medicine in the best interests of their patients and must share information that is factual, scientifically grounded and consensus-driven for the betterment of public health."

Note the key term – "consensus-driven."

They're ordering doctors not to step out of line and do research for themselves on how they can best help their patients but instead just blindly follow whatever the medical establishment tells them.

Remember when the consensus was to put everyone under medically-induced comas and on ventilators and it killed some 85 percent of patients who received the "treatment"?

That could still be the standard today if Chaudhry's consensus-based rules were widely enforced.

FSMB has not yet formally defined "misinformation" or "disinformation" in its policy, but the organization's ethics committee is studying the issues of physician misinformation and disinformation and plans to provide more guidance at a later date, an FSMB spokesperson said in an emailed statement to Becker's.

"However, we currently view misinformation as sharing or distributing verifiably false information," the spokesperson said. "We define disinformation as sharing or distributing information that the distributor knows is false."

While FSMB has not formed a recommendation yet for the definitions of misinformation and disinformation, state and territorial medical boards may use various terms, such as "professional misconduct" or "ethics violation," in their own procedures to address concerns surrounding misinformation and disinformation, FSMB said.

Texas Borderland Doctor States the Obvious: The COVID Surge Is Coming From Biden's 'Grossly Irresponsible' Border Policies

The mainstream media, (other than the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, notably) which isn’t reporting on the border much these days, says in unison that the current surge in COVID cases is not linked to the surge in illegal border crossings.

How they can say that with such confidence when they’re not reporting on the border and aren’t tracing issues such as the “COVID hotels” is a bit of a non-mystery. They’re saying these things because they don’t want to report the possibility, or is it probability, that Biden’s border policies are putting Americans all over the country in grave danger from COVID. They don’t want to call out New York Democrats such as Bill de Blasio for instituting a latter-day Jim Crow regime in the name of COVID and they don’t want to blame Joe Biden for letting Americans get sick and die.

One border doctor is speaking out, Fox News reports.

Dr. Antonio Falcon, a highly regarded physician in the border town of Rio Grande City, Texas told Fox News that his practice has seen a significant “uptick in cases in the last couple of weeks.” Falcon’s region reported a 900% increase in the number of illegal detainees who tested positive for COVID-19 last month.

Coincidence? He thinks not.

“The uptick in cases locally is certainly linked to the number of those coming across the border who have already contracted the virus,” Falcon said.

The Texas border city of McAllen, just 30 miles south of Rio Grande, reported that more than 7,000 COVID-positive migrants have been released into the city since February, and more than 1,500 in the past week.

How could this, the COVID hotels, and the Biden administration’s policies of not quarantining COVID+ illegals plus shipping them around the country without telling state or local authorities not be at least partly causing the surge in COVID cases? It defies logic. COVID is a highly contagious virus, we’re told. We have in this issue a population that’s carrying the virus and not being quarantined. What’s the logic at work in insisting that they’re not spreading COVID? We live in a time when logic will get you censored by the masters of social media, who all work in lockstep with the leftist Democrats.

St. Louis Taxi Company Is Rejecting Masked And COVID-Vaccinated Passengers, Mask Fans Complain of Anti-Vax ‘Discrimination’

“We don’t allow any type of masks in our vehicles, the second one is we are very against the vaccine and don’t allow people in our vehicle that did get the vaccine”

St. Louis, Missouri-based tax cab company Yo Transportation services is refusing service to passengers who insist on covering their face with a face mask, and is also refusing to transport passengers who have taken one of the four COVID vaccines.

According to KMOV4, Yo owner Charlie Bullington takes the steps to verify that prospective passengers are not masked or vaccinated before he picks them up.

“We don’t allow any type of masks in our vehicles, the second one is we are very against the vaccine and don’t allow people in our vehicle that did get the vaccine,” Bullington stated, adding, “I understand Missouri is one of the top three states with the lowest vaccination rate, so I am proud of all the Missouri people for standing against this.”

“Because of what they consider the shedding process, them transmitting their germs to us by contact whether it’s a shake of hands, a touch,” Bullington said of mask fans who believe coverings can singlehandedly stop the virus.

One man turned away by Bullington to complain on Facebook, “I just ran into my first brush with discrimination against people who have had the COVID vaccine. Yo Taxi, in Pacific, just told me that they could not give me a ride to the airport if I have been vaccinated or wear a mask. Apparently they are committed to providing service to unvaccinated people who don’t wear masks.”

Most discrimination enforced by businesses regarding masks hand the vaccine has been enforced against those who cannot wear masks or have not been vaccinated. Mask advocates in media seem baffled that the discrimination could swing in the opposite direction, against vaccinated people.

By analyzing the shape of your hand and the unique configuration of veins under your skin, Amazon says its technology can verify your identity the same way facial recognition does.

Although Amazon One will initially be used for payments only, it’s clear the tech giant has much bigger ambitions for this hardware. In the future, it says, Amazon One could not only be used for shopping but as a replacement for tickets at music and sporting events, and as an alternative to your office keycard, letting you scan in with a swipe of your hand. In other words, Amazon One isn’t a payment technology. It’s an identity technology, and one that could give Amazon more reach into your life than ever before.

Understandably, some experts are skeptical about Amazon’s claims of convenience, and worry about a company with a spotty track record on privacy becoming the controller of a new identity standard. Whether it’s Amazon’s use of biased facial recognition algorithms or its ambitions to grow a network of home surveillance cameras, this is an organization that has proved many times that individual privacy is not always its biggest concern. Is it a good idea if Amazon knows exactly who you are from the palm of your hand?

As the company explains on its FAQ page, the Amazon One hardware verifies a user’s identity by looking at “the minute characteristics of your palm — both surface-area details like lines and ridges as well as subcutaneous features such as vein patterns.” Usually, vein scanning is done using infrared light that penetrates the surface layers of skin, though Amazon doesn’t mention this technology specifically. It says anyone can sign up to Amazon One by inserting a credit card into one of its scanners and registering one or both of their palms. The scanners can then identify someone “in seconds” without skin contact. (A bonus during a pandemic, but no cleaner or quicker than using many contactless credit cards.)

From a security point of view, palm scanning has some key advantages over other biometrics. First, the information being used to identify you is not easily observable, unlike your face or ear print. Even fingerprints can be picked up from touched objects or photographed from a distance. It’s much harder, by comparison, to snap a picture of someone’s hand and use that to spoof their vein patterns.

Report: Hollywood Elites, Including Jeffrey Katzenberg, Plan Fundraiser to Help Gavin Newsom Fight Recall

A group of left-wing Hollywood elites, including former Disney and DreamWorks boss Jeffrey Katzenberg, is reportedly stepping forward to help California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) beat next month’s recall election.

Deadline reported that Katzenberg, Casey Wasserman, and State of Play producer Andrew Hauptman are among the names chairing a fundraiser next week for the California governor. The virtual fundraiser is scheduled to take place Thursday, with Newsom in attendance, and will raise money for the Stop the Republican Recall of Governor Newsom committee.

“This recall effort is a Republican-led sham,” Katzenberg reportedly said in a statement. “I’m glad Hollywood is stepping up to raise money to defeat this nonsense.”

Deadline said Katzenberg also is sending this note to potential donors:

“This is all part of Republican effort to delegitimize our election process and suppress the vote nationally. Governor Newsom was first elected in 2018 with 62% of the vote, which was greater than any Democratic candidate for governor in state history. He recently signed into law his California Comeback plan, which will boost California’s recovery by providing immediate relief for families, combat homelessness, improve infrastructure, fight wildfires and make historic investments in education.”

The Stop the Republican Recall committee has already received big-ticket donations from Hollywood elites, including Netflix’s co-CEO Reed Hastings, who has donated $3 million to the group.

Deadline said other donations have come from the Motion Picture Association, Paramount Pictures, producer Byron Allen, and Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer.

California’s recall election is set to take place September 14. As Breitbart News reported, Gov. Newsom has seen his support slip in recent weeks, with one poll showing 51 percent of likely voters in California would vote to remove incumbent Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) from office, while only 40 percent would vote to retain him

Among the Republican challengers is conservative radio host Larry Elder.

Californians have grown increasingly frustrated with Newsom’s inability to reign in the state’s out-of-control homelessness epidemic or provide a solution to the annual wildfires that cause billions of dollars in damage each year.

The state is also contending with runaway inflation, with gas prices soaring to more than $6 a gallon in some areas.

Nearly 2,000 companies and organizations have lobbied Congress and the administration this year in an attempt to influence the contours of major new infrastructure spending, an effort that is sure to intensify now that the Senate is hoping to vote within days on their version of the $1 trillion public-works package.

The proposal — along with a still-forming second economic package valued at $3.5 trillion — carries high stakes for corporations that have long pined for infrastructure improvements and other federal spending that would be beneficial to their bottom lines.

The organizations working to shape the package — ranging from powerful trade associations representing agricultural and energy giants to small-time firms working for cities in Alabama and Kansas — mentioned either “infrastructure” or President Biden’s initial proposal, known as the American Jobs Plan, on their lobbying disclosure forms during the most recent quarter this year, according to an analysis from the Center for Responsive Politics, a nonprofit group that tracks money and influence in Washington.

Amazon, whose founder Jeff Bezos owns The Washington Post, spent nearly $10 million in the first six months of the year on a slew of lobbyists who worked on issues including “electric vehicle charging infrastructure” and “infrastructure investment legislation,” according to filings. The Global Infrastructure Investor Association, which represents financial firms like Goldman Sachs, Blackstone and Morgan Stanley, lobbied earlier this year on “public-private partnerships in financing state and federal infrastructure,” its disclosures show.

The RATE Coalition hired Forbes Tate Partners to lobby against corporate tax raises, a firm whose lobbyists include former aides to the Senate’s top tax-focused committee. The American Chemistry Council, which represents companies including 3M, Dow, Dupont and ExxonMobil, has taken particular aim at a portion of the infrastructure package that would raise the country’s so-called superfund tax.
