Seven arrested and tens of thousands worth of luxury goods seized as police crack down on outlaw bikie gangs

Seven people have been arrested and tens of thousands of dollars' worth of luxury goods have been seized as police crackdown on fake disaster relief claims made by bikie gangs.

In August last year, detectives from the Raptor Squad established Strike Force Fireant to investigate outlaw motorcycle gang (OMCG) members illegally obtaining bushfire and flood claims through state government grant schemes.

On Thursday, police raided a number of properties across Greater Sydney.

Officers attended properties at Beecroft, North Richmond, Seven Hills, Shalvey, Werrington County and Wilberforce as part of investigations into the fraudulent claims.

During the raids, a number of illegal items were found and seized.

The items include a replica Glock pistol, a poker machine, thousands in cash, steroids, cannabis, more than 100 pairs of designer shoes valued at $30,000, luxury bags and other accessories valued at a further $30,000.

Mobile phones, electronic storage devices and documents were also seized, all of which will undergo further examination.

Among those arrested include a 23-year-old Beecroft man, a 23-year-old North Richmond man, a 30-year-old Shalvey man, a 27-year-old Werrington County man and a 28-year-old Wilberforce man, all of whom are known associates of the Rebels Motorcycle Club.

A 40-year-old North Richmond woman and 26-year-old Werrington County man were also arrested and charged.

They will all appear before courts.

Detective Superintendent Jason Weinstein said the arrests were a significant step in the fight against OMCGs.

Biden Supporters Plead Guilty To Hate Crime Charges After Viral Assault Of 7-Year-Old Boy, Theft Of MAGA Hat

Two Delaware women pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including hate crimes.

Two women who assaulted a family and stole a MAGA hat from a seven-year-old boy last summer have pleaded guilty to multiple charges. Olivia Winslow and Camryn Amy pleaded guilty to charges of theft, child endangerment and hate crimes stemming from the attack. Charges of assault, attempted assault and conspiracy were dropped as part of a plea deal, according to The Delaware News Journal.

The attack took place on August 20, 2020 in Wilmington, Delaware, not far from where Joe Biden was giving his acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention. A video of the incident was uploaded by the Students for Trump Twitter account and was viewed more than 5 million times. The video shows the two women confronting a family who had just left a peaceful counter protest and were waiting for a table outside a restaurant. Winslow and Amy can be seen ripping up pro-Trump signs while cursing at the family. “Are you destroying my property?” a woman can be heard asking as the pair tore up signs.

The two women can then be seen running up and stealing a MAGA hat as a child pleads for it back. “That’s someone else’s hat!” the 7-year-old boy can be heard shouting. “You’re mom f****n likes Trump,” one of the attackers replied. She then tosses the hat over a fence into a construction site where the family can’t retrieve it.

One woman later claimed that she was punched multiple times during the altercation. Winslow and Amy can be seen assaulting at least one person in the video, as one of the attackers punches a man who was trying to retrieve the hat. The two were arrested not long after the incident. They are due back in court for sentencing in September, though prosecutors noted that they were not seeking prison time.

Facebook-Funded "Researchers" and the New York Times Team Up to Attack Gab

This evening I received an email (shared below) from Davey Alba at the New York Times. Davey explained that “researchers” from two organizations with direct connections to and funding from Facebook were defaming both myself personally and Gab as a whole for spreading “misinformation.”

I’ll get into the baseless and defamatory claims, but first I’d like you to tell you a little more about these two organizations.

Stanford Internet Observatory is led by Alex Stamos who is the former Chief Security Officer for Facebook. The CTO of Stanford Internet Observatory, David Thiel, also worked at Facebook before starting at SIO. Stanford itself is of course widely known as the Ivy League snob school that the “best and brightest” in Silicon Valley all attended and have deep connections to.

The second organization is Graphika. Graphika is a Facebook-funded “research” group whose executive leadership team includes Camille Francois, a woman worked at Google’s infamous censorship technology incubator “Jigsaw,” and Lauren Pencek who previously worked for the National Security Agency (NSA) among others.

The New York Times own reporting confirms that Graphika receives its funding from Facebook and Facebook is also listed as one of Graphika’s top clients right on the front page of their website. Aside from Facebook, Graphika also partners with DARPA, a research and development agency of the United States Department of Defense, along with Google, TikTok, and Pinterest.

Gab will never work with organizations like these and will never subject our community members to the slimy eyeballs of people who wish to “research” them. In fact we have spent years and a considerable amount of our engineering resources to stop these type of “reeeesearchers” from treating our community like lab rats.

Perhaps that’s another reason why Graphika has spent almost an entire year attacking Gab, but I suspect it has more to do with their deep connections to our competitors.

Let’s dive into the email from the New York Times, shall we?

Hi Andrew,

I’m a reporter from The New York Times, where we are writing about some viral posts about the coronavirus that have gained traction online in the past few weeks. I wanted to get your comment on a post by you that the Virality Project — a consortium of research groups focused on misinformation, including the Stanford Internet Observatory and Graphika, among others — identified as misinformation.

You can find their assertions here: https://static1.squarespace.com/static/60025974f9f7920e6b40885b/t/61097813bdc29713648c24bf/1628010515835/Virality+Project+-+0803+Weekly+Briefing+.pdf

Family of Five, 8-Year-Old Girl Brutally Stabbed to Death on South African Farm

A family of five was brutally stabbed to death on their farm outside Harrismith in the Free State, South Africa. Their bodies were found by a traditional healer Saturday morning. The youngest victim was an eight-year-old girl. In a sad twist, the family’s farm was named “Toekoms” (Future).

“The bodies of a 47-year-old man with multiple wounds and that of a woman in her early 40s, who was also stabbed multiple times, were found next to each other,” News 24 reports. “The bodies of a boy aged 16 and a girl estimated to be eight years old were found in the same room. The fifth deceased – a 23-year-old man – was found on the floor in another room. He had stab wounds all over his body.”

In the first seven months of 2021 there have been 165 farm attacks and 24 farm murders in South Africa, according to The Rome Research Institute of South Africa.

“Farm attacks continue to be a source of grave concern because of the excessive violence that regularly is used during these crimes,” AfriForum said in a statement May 12, 2021. “In 22% of the attacks, victims were brutally tortured by burning them with irons, by battering or kicking them to death or by repeatedly stabbing them with a sharp object.”

For the period 1 January to 31 December 2020, on average, a farmer in South Africa was murdered every 4.7 days. There were 77 farm murders and 446 farm attacks, an attack every 1.2 days.

AfriForum spokesman Ernst Roets, author of the definitive “Kill the Boer: Government Complicity In South Africa’s Brutal Farm Murders“, did a fact check on violent crime in South Africa: Over the 26 year time frame since the ANC took power in South Africa, 527,534 people have been murdered, said Roets. “That’s 60 murders per day… More than the number of American soldiers killed in World Wars 1 and 2 combined.”

Over the same time frame, there have been 1,479,142 sexual offences reported, or 169 sexual offences per day in the country of 60 million. There were 5,574,649 serious assaults (636 per day), 6,707,282 residential burglaries (766 per day), 2,021,397 car and motorcycle thefts (231 per day), 3.448,776 drug crimes (394 per day), 3,371,121 cases of property damage (385 per day), 134,747 kidnappings (15 per day) in one country.

“South Africa is sick, and the problem is not only violent crime. Violent crime is the symptom and not the problem.”
