Thank you. Appreciate it. I know in my heart that it's true, that Twitter really is just Tumblr 2.0 at this point, but it's still painful to see. Especially since I know people who act like this personally. It's a damn disgrace to see full grown adults acting like demented children. Openly spreading false information and using underhanded tactics to gain control of conversations. So frustrating.
It's so gross and not only normalized but celebrated. Ignorance is strength is real now and it's shocking. Projection across not just party lines but literally individuals is at an all time high. Blocking all dissent, real or imagined, is considered brave and forward thinking.
I pray for all these poor people. If/when the bubble bursts, they will be required to sit down and reevaluate every aspect of themselves and realize the blind hate they let drive their lives. It will be catastrophic.

I assume "saw the reverse" as in, hasn't bought into bullshit. Like Project Mockingbird, not buying into the Popular Opinions of the day. And I feel that a lot of people out in the world feel the same.
I think this all comes down to comfort. Are you comfortable with other individuals being silenced when they say things you may not agree with you? Are you comfortable in the idea that news broadcasting companies have your best interests in mind? Are you comfortable with the government having control over your finances?
The most comfortable now are the most unhinged. They want to keel Biden as president, it's the most comfortable. One of the shocking things I've seen is people demanding not to recall Newsom. That wouldn't be comfortable at all to lose him.

It's all driven by emotion. In this era we live, huge swathes of the masses are infantilized and more and more often they're accepting it. Because it's comfortable to let someone else in charge of your life when you of all people know you are incapable of providing for yourself. This leads to the emotion driven political system we have now.
