If you are going to talk law, then look into common law vs admiralty law. Ever wonder why in old documents an American citizen would make a remark like, "I am a man of the land,"? He is declaring what jurisdiction he resides in. Admiralty law is the law of the sea, basically contract law between corp entities.

Common law is the law of the land. Statutes and codes are admiralty law. In common law, there must be a victim. No victim, no crime. THAT, is one of the reasons they guarantee the right to face your accuser. Saying that the state is the victim does NOT count.
