One of the most crucial scenes of Oliver Stone's JFK occurs when a mystery man portrayed by Donald Sutherland steps out of the shadows to speak to New Orleans District Attorney Jim Garrison (Kevin Costner).
"I could give you a false name, but I won't," he tells the DA. "Just call me X."(1)
"I'm not going to name names, or tell you who or what I represent," the man says mysteriously, "Except to say – you're close, you're closer than you think . . ."(2)
"Something about his manner speaks of authority, knowledge, and above all, old-fashioned honesty," the screenplay reads.(3)
"Everything I'm going to tell you is classified top secret," he tells Garrison, and gives the DA what the script calls a "significant look."(4)
And then he proceeds to fill Jim Garrison in on the truth behind the conspiracy that killed John F. Kennedy.
There are only a few tiny problems: the mystery man "X" never existed; Jim Garrison never had any such informant, and the story "X" tells is nothing more than a combination of speculation and outright fiction.
Like all good fiction, however, Oliver Stone's mystery man is inspired, however distantly, by real life. Let's meet the real-life model for the character portrayed by Donald Sutherland.
2.1.2 SURA
Ionospheric modification experiments in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia have been performed by
the Radio Physical Research Institute (NIRFI) since 1973 at the Zimenki heating facility,
located 20 km to the east of Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. This facility was operated at two
pump wave frequencies f0 = 5750 and 4600 kHz with effective radiated powers, P eff, of 20
and 12 MW respectively. The experimental results obtained were so impressive that it was
decided to build a new more powerful heating facility (SURA facility) near the settlement of
Vasil’sursk, 100 km to the east of Nizhny Novgorod (56.15◦ N, 46.1◦ E; magnetic dip angle
I = 71◦). The SURA facility was put into operation in November 1980. Since then it has
been used for ionosphere modification by HF radio-waves to investigate a range of science
topics listed in Sect. 2.1.5.
A comprehensive description of the SURA facility can be found in Belikovich et al.
(2007). The facility comprises three HF broadcast transmitters. Each of them has a maximum output power of 250 kW, within a frequency range from 4 to 25 MHz. Tuned to the
pump frequency, the transmitter bandwidth is about 50 kHz. Each transmitter is connected
to a subantenna array containing 4 rows of 12 wideband crossed dipoles, which have a biconical form. A section of the SURA antenna array is shown in Fig. 2. It allows radiating
either left or right circular polarized waves (O- or X-mode waves) from 4.3 to 9.5 MHz,
covering a frequency range from slightly above the third to above the seventh electron cyclotron harmonic. The size of such a subantenna array is 100 m in the North-South direction
and 300 m in the East-West direction.

This is a curiously posed photo with a breed of dog that is known as "a breed apart". So are ballerinas, so are their elite intellectual and noble audiences, so are spies, and so are mind control puppets who are give the focus and determination to excel at artistic pursuits. In every country, artists and performers can enter or leave at will on special status visas.
The royal portrait (in an oval like Egyptian royal cartouche) is Empress Maria Aleksandrovna, after whom the theater is named. This and the floorboards and masonry stove in the corner make me thing this is the theater. Between the legs of the left girl you can see where kindling is burned kachelofen style. And here you can see Karsavina posing on the same sized floorboards in 1910.
