Incredibly useful, but I don't see those types as being particularly well equipped to do anything other than continue taking care of their own.. I mean they could help the world no doubt.. my point was just that a militant group or a much larger group would absorb them if anything, they wouldn't become a mecca for the world.. the significance in these types is that they do these things and abstain themselves from partaking of modern tech & society (too much).. but that kind of knowledge already exists in rural America.. country folk wouldn't be like "damn we need amish people".. city folk would just be fucked, but some of them would get absorbed into regular rural american culture, they wouldn't be looking for amish people to lead them.
