Conservatives would not recognize Taliban as legitimate government

In stark contrast to the governing Liberals, the Conservatives say if they form government, they will refuse to recognize the Taliban as the legitimate government of Afghanistan.

Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole released a statement shortly after Liberal Foreign Affairs Minister Marc Garneau told CBC’s Power & Politics that the government will “wait and see” how the Taliban behaves before making such a determination.

“The use of force by the Taliban is completely unacceptable and that’s why today I’m announcing that a Conservative government will not recognize the Taliban as the legitimate government of Afghanistan,” O’Toole said.

O’Toole also said that a Conservative government will ensure aid provided to the Afghan people does not end up in the Taliban’s hands.

“The situation in Afghanistan is devastating and Justin Trudeau has to answer for why he abandoned these people,” O’Toole’s statement read.

Free-speech advocate Rick Mehta hopes to “shed light of transparency in Nova Scotia politics”

Free-speech advocate Rick Mehta says he is not running to win today’s provincial election but to “give Nova Scotians options.”

The former psychology professor is running as an Atlantica Party candidate. He first rose to prominence in 2018 after being fired from Acadia University due to his “controversial” comments regarding Indigenous issues and gender politics.

In an interview with True North, Mehta said that what differentiates Atlantica from other parties is that they “look at the strength of the idea as opposed to the person who’s saying it and take a strong stance against identity politics.”

Mehta hopes his run will “shed light on the lack of transparency in Nova Scotia politics.”

“There is Diversity Kings County (formerly the Race Relations and Anti-Discrimination Committee) which advances policies from the UN. The policies promote division and are premised on the idea that our neighbours are racist,” said Mehta.

He expresses similar concerns with the “Nova Scotia Barrister’s Society which acknowledges system racism in the province, citing sources such as the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC), Black Lives Matter (BLM) and other activist groups lacking credibility.”

Mehta says the reason he has always been so critical of activist groups such as TRC is because of their flawed methodology.

“The TRC report, at its core, is using a biased sample of people, asking them leading questions, so of course you’re going to find horrible offense if that’s what you’ve done. It has nothing to do with racism as has been reported by the mainstream media,” said Mehta.

“Disparities do not imply discrimination. In a free society such as Canada, we should expect variability. The problem is that issues are often oversimplified and misrepresented by the media.”

Recently, Mehta has been frustrated with CBC, as has the rest of his party. CBC and other mainstream outlets, including CTV and Global News, have excluded Atlantica and the Green party from their reporting, stating only three Nova Scotia party leaders and not five.

Atlantica has approached the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) “claiming numerous and ongoing breaches under the CAB Code of Ethics (2002) as described under the Journalistic Independence Code.”

They argue that these breaches have damaged the standing and campaign of the Atlantica and Green parties and “has brought into doubt the integrity of the elections results.”

Disqualified Conservative Yukon candidate Jonas Smith to run as independent

The Yukon candidate disqualified by the Conservative Party of Canada over opposition to vaccine passports and employer vaccine mandates will be running as an independent.

Jonas Smith, a mining industry advocate and former Conservative national councillor, was removed as a candidate last week over what the Conservative party said was an “unwillingness to support public health guidelines.”

Smith said it was about his “opposition to calls for implementation of mandated workplace vaccinations and vaccine passport requirements in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Smith ran for the Conservatives in 2019, but lost to Liberal Larry Bagnell by 153 votes. With Bagnell retiring, Smith was set to seek the seat for the Conservatives again when Canadians go to the polls Sept. 20.

Sources connected to the Conservative Party of Canada tell True North the party’s National Candidate Selection Committee formally approved Smith’s disqualification on the weekend. The nomination rules allow a candidate to appeal disqualification to National Council, though Smith said this path would be fruitless.

“I have undergone some of the process available to me, but it’s clear to me that when the central campaign doesn’t want you on, then regardless of the outcome of any process, that sentiment remains,” Smith said in an interview with True North.

Smith said he’s optimistic he can win as an independent, noting that Yukon has elected members of parliament from all three major federal parties in the past.

“This is an opportunity to represent Yukoners regardless of party stripe,” he said. “I’m doing this in response to the overwhelming outpouring of encouragement for me to do so. I narrowly lost the last election and I’ve got thousands upon thousands of supporters here in the territory that want me to do this.”

Smith pointed to Jody Wilson-Raybould’s success in 2019 as an independent candidate after being kicked out of the Liberal caucus, suggesting voters respond favourably to principled politicians.

“Integrity transcends politics,” Smith said.

The Conservatives have not yet named a replacement candidate in the Yukon riding.

FACT CHECK: CBC bashes Conservatives over same vaccination policy as Liberals

A heavily skewed article by CBC News on Conservative Party Leader Erin O’Toole’s views on mandatory vaccinations for federal workers omitted the fact that the Liberals hold the exact same position when it comes to vaccine mandates.

In the article, entitled “Erin O’Toole opposes mandatory vaccination for federal public servants, travellers,” CBC News claims that O’Toole “prefers a regular rapid testing regime to keep workplaces safe from COVID-19” over mandatory vaccinations.

The article, however, makes no mention that the Liberal government holds the exact same position, and even stated the same caveats when unveiling its vaccine policy for the public service and federally-regulated workers last week.

“What (Canadians) do not want is the politicization of the pandemic. Vaccines are not a political issue. To try and make them one is dangerous and irresponsible,” O’Toole told CBC News.

CBC News omitted Trudeau’s full position and only stated that the Liberals would “require vaccination across the federal public service” and that exemptions would exist “for workers with verifiable health conditions.”

CBC News’ own reporting on the Liberal announcement made no mention of exemptions based on “verifiable health conditions” and only stated that alternative testing and screening would be offered for those who are unable to be vaccinated.

“Starting soon, all commercial air travellers and passengers on interprovincial trains and large marine vessels with overnight accommodations (such as cruise ships) will have to be vaccinated,” CBC News wrote on August 13, 2021.

“(Transport Minister Omar Alghabra) said accommodations will be made for ‘those few who are unable to be vaccinated,’ such as testing and screening.”

Globe and Mail columnist Robyn Urback was one of many people to criticize the discovery and anti-Conservative bias on social media.

“This is, uh, interesting framing. The Conservative position is that federal public servants have to be vaccinated or submit to a daily rapid test. The Liberal position is that federal public servants have to be vaccinated or… we’ll figure it out later, tbd,” tweeted Urback.

Conservative government would introduce month-long sales tax holiday

The Conservatives are promising to implement a goods and services tax (GST) holiday for the month of December, if they’re elected on September 20.

“To help families and help our hard-hit retail stores recover… All purchases made at retail stores will be tax free for this month,” the party’s platform reads.

The GST holiday proposal comes as a part of Conservative leader Erin O’Toole’s broader plan to “tackle high prices (especially home prices) and fight inflation.”

This policy “will put $1.5 billion back into Canadians’ pockets,” said O’Toole in a Toronto press conference today.

His 160-page election platform also includes promises to lower cell phone and internet bills, lower food prices and make banking more affordable.

When asked whether the holiday will pose logistical concerns to retailers, O’Toole said that the business owners he’s heard from have been “thrilled” about the proposed policy.

O’Toole pointed out that his policy will help traditional “brick and mortar” Canadian retailers who “are hanging on by a thread” instead of online retailers such as Amazon, which have captured plenty of sales in the past year due to lockdowns. Retail e-commerce sales increased 75% in 2020 and are set to increase another 12% in 2021.

Director of Econ Americas and research associate with the Frontier Centre for Public Policy Fergus Hodgson told True North that “Canada needs simplified, streamlined taxation, not to mention deep fiscal austerity on the spending side. Changing tax rates for a day, week, or month only complicates matters and causes headaches for those collecting and enforcing those taxes.”

The Conservatives have also proposed a “Dine and Discover Program” which includes a one-month period where dine-in restaurant customers would receive a 50% tax rebate on food and non-alcoholic beverages purchased from Monday–Wednesday in order to aid the recovery of the hospitality industry.

Sales tax holidays are popular in the US, with 17 states holding one in 2021. Unlike O’Toole’s month-long proposal, most US sales tax holidays only last a couple of days as a part of back-to-school initiatives.

Trudeau touts need for “she-covery” after “she-cession”

Liberal leader Justin Trudeau slammed the Conservatives for not talking about the “she-cession” and “she-covery” in their platform.

At a campaign stop in Markham, Ont. Tuesday, Trudeau said the Liberal plan to create a $10-a-day childcare program is the type of woman-focused policy absent from the “lengthy” Conservative platform.

“It is exactly the example of the kind of things you need to do to counter the she-cession and turn it into a she-covery,” Trudeau said. “The fact is, the Conservatives don’t talk about that in their lengthy platform. They don’t talk about feminism. They don’t talk about the impact, on women, of this (COVID-19) crisis.”

The Liberal childcare plan, initially announced in the federal budget earlier this year, would earmark $30 billion to create affordable childcare spaces at an average cost of $10 per day. The Conservatives have said this will only help those fortunate enough to get one of the coveted spaces, opting instead to propose a tax credit that would give families, particularly in lower income brackets, a rebate of up to 75% of the cost of childcare.

“We will enable more women to choose to participate in the workforce,” the Conservatives’ “Securing the Future” platform says. “Canadian families are tired of Liberal promises and inaction. Our flexible and comprehensive approach will help all families right away and offer extra support to those who need it most.”

This isn’t the first time Trudeau has proclaimed the existence of a “she-cession” disproportionately affecting Canadian women. In March, Trudeau used the term to promote the need for a “feminist, intersectional recovery” from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Speaking on day three of the election campaign, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau told the media that he discussed the situation in Afghanistan with former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Delivering remarks from a campaign stop in Markham, Ontario, the prime minister said he spoke to Clinton last night — just a day after the Afghan capital Kabul was captured by the Taliban — about the challenges now faced by women and girls in the country.

“I also spoke last night with former U.S. secretary of state Hillary Clinton,” Trudeau stated, adding that Clinton “shares our concern for Afghan women and girls.” The 2016 Democratic presidential nominee welcomed Canada's efforts, Trudeau said, “and urged Canada to continue our work.”

The press conference also signalled a quick shift in policy towards the Taliban for Trudeau's government.

Liberal Foreign Affairs Minister Marc Garneau said yesterday during an appearance on CBC that the government would be taking a “wait and see” approach to dealing with the Taliban, who have announced their intent to form the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan after securing the country's capital.

Today, in their first press conference since seizing control of Kabul, Taliban leadership explained that they were “committed to the rights of women within the framework of Sharia.”

Last night, the Conservative Party declared that a government led by Erin O'Toole would not recognize the legitimacy of a Taliban-led Afghan government. The Liberal Party quickly followed suit today, with Trudeau announcing during the same Markham press conference that his government would also not recognize the Taliban regime.

The American withdrawal from Afghanistan finally brought about an end to the 20-year conflict, bringing scenes eerily reminiscent of the fall of Saigon at the end of the Vietnam war onto screens across the western world.

What does this message send to allies of the United States? What about its enemies? And where does American foreign policy go from this low point?

Joel Pollak, editor-at-large for Breitbart, joined The Ezra Levant Show yesterday to share his thoughts on these questions.

Speaking about the three main political rivals to American interests in the region, Joel said:

The broader issue is really we have China ascendant, not only because we have now withdrawn from the one country with a land border with China where we had a base, but also because China's now going to move in and do deals with the Taliban and gain access to the rare earth minerals that are abundant in Afghanistan.

Russia is now crowing over this because they had their own defeat in Afghanistan under the Soviet Union and they're now being seen in the Middle East as a more reliable ally than the United States, at least under Democrats.

And Iran, of course, is thrilled because Afghanistan borders Iran and they're now getting all that military equipment you talked about. Plus they are given a reprieve here. Trump had Iran on the ropes, the regime looked weak; Biden has given them a third chance on life — the second chance, of course, was given by Barack Obama.

So this is a catastrophe.

Canadian government deletes embassy Facebook page where Afghans were pleading for help

The Canadian embassy in Afghanistan, which recently suspended its operations as the Taliban seized control of the nation's capital, has now deleted its Facebook page, where terrified Afghans had been pleading for help from the Canadian government.

The Canadian federal government had previously announced an expedited immigration program for Afghans who had worked with Canada during the war. A number of evacuation flights did proceed but many Afghans have been forced to remain behind, terrified for their future as their country falls to Taliban control. Many took to the Canadian embassy's Facebook page to beg for help.

One such post read,

Justin Trudeau, we are a family of 5 people who are in Afghanistan and our dream is to travel to Canada in order to enjoy life and stability while we are poor and do not have money to travel…. Please we beg you to help us or to reach our voice to the Prime Minister.

Another said,

My father was worked with canadian military here in kabul he applied on 28th July still he didn’t receive anything regarding his case the situation getting worse for him as well as for the family.

This follows reports that the Taliban are now conducting door-to-door searches in Kabul in search of Afghan government officials, members of the military, journalists, and anyone who has collaborated with the United States or its allies.

Trudeau calls snap election as Afghanistan falls to the Taliban

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau could not have picked a more poor time to call an election. As Kandahar, Afghanistan's second largest city and one where Canadian soldiers conducted the majority of the country's operations during the conflict fell, Trudeau was arranging for Canadians to head to the polls for a snap election.

So, during a purported “fourth wave” as declared by his chief public health officer and a major geopolitical crisis — one bad enough to warrant the United Kingdom's Prime Minister Boris Johnson to recall parliament — now is the opportune time for an election, apparently.

On last night's episode of The Ezra Levant Show, Ezra wondered about a promise Trudeau has made on the campaign trail, one to bring in 20,000 “vulnerable Afghans”:

That’s quite a lot of interpreters for a Canadian force that never had more than 2,000 people on the ground at once. Of course, to Trudeau, it’s just another mass immigration scheme.

How can you vet 20,000 people, especially with no embassy on the ground, no security intelligence. Oh well; it didn’t stop him from bringing in 50,000 Syrians with the same problem.

EXCLUSIVE: Ontario PC Party issues ultimatum to unvaccinated MPPs, gives until Thursday to get COVID-19 vaccine

The Ontario Progressive Conservative Party has issued an ultimatum to its unvaccinated MPPs: take the COVID-19 vaccine or be fired.

An Ontario PC MPP, speaking on condition of anonymity, told Rebel News that all party MPPs suspected of not having been vaccinated against COVID-19 are being warned by party leaders that they have until Thursday to get the shot. Failing to do so, they face being kicked from the PC party caucus.

This comes as Ontario Liberal party leader Steven Del Duca calls for a mandatory vaccination rule for all members of provincial parliament and strict protocols for those who remain unvaccinated, as Ontario's legislators prepare to return to Queen's Park in September for the fall session. Del Duca’s letter to the speaker does not consider whether an unvaccinated MPP should be punished or prevented from entering the building.

According to the MPP, Ontario PC Party President Brian Patterson and campaign manager Kory Teneycke have been calling MPPs who have not publicly stated their vaccination status on social media, issuing them the ultimatum.

Ontario workplaces can mandate vaccines, but employment law and the province's human rights code require reasonable accommodation of people requesting exemptions for medical, religious or conscientious reasons. Government employers are also bound by the Charter of Rights.

According to a QP Briefing story, there are 24 total PC party MPPs who have opted to not report their vaccination status. We have reached out to them for comment.

Bloc Québécois leader REFUSES to answer “reasonable question”

The federal election has just been announced, with the vote to be held on September 20. The leader of the Bloc Québécois, MP Yves-François Blanchet, recently held a press briefing at Medicago’s head office to discuss the production and research and development of pharmaceutical drugs in Quebec.

I took the opportunity to ask Blanchet questions, but I was refused, not once but twice, with him telling me that he was not going to answer questions from Rebel News. When I asked him why, I got no response from him.

We’ve had another big win for freedom through our Fight the Fines civil liberties project, by getting criminal charges related to tyrannical COVID-19 restrictions withdrawn!

In the spring of 2021, a mom of four named Michelle Deshaies was apprehended multiple times, fined thousands of dollars and even sent to jail by Creston, B.C. RCMP officers. Michelle’s ‘crimes’ were protesting peacefully and shopping after her medical exemption claims were ignored at the town’s Home Hardware store.

Before the indoor mask mandate was lifted in the province, the B.C. Human Rights Commissioner made it clear that “In some cases, people cannot wear masks due to a medical condition or disability—and discrimination on the basis of disability is prohibited under B.C.’s Human Rights Code.”

This meant that businesses are expected to “take every step possible to accommodate people protected by the Code, short of undue hardship.”

Yet Deshaies was asymptomatic and socially distancing while shopping, posing no logical risk of undue hardship for the business — so why was the only accommodation she was offered the choice to get out, or have the police sicced on her?

Additionally, one’s choice to peacefully assemble to protest in Canada is constitutionally protected. That includes during life with COVID-19, which was exemplified by a B.C. Supreme Court ruling in March 2021, where a Justice Christopher Hinkson ruled in favour of another peaceful protester like Deshaies who was fined for peacefully protesting.

So, what excuse did the Creston police officers have for escalating these situations to the point of humiliating, arresting, charging and even imprisoning Deshaies?

I’ve reached out to the RCMP and the Home Hardware store to try and get some of these answers, and I will update this report if I receive a statement from them. You can see that the laws and human decency that should have been on Deshaies’ side did not save her, but thankfully, freedom defenders like you did.

Canadians oppose vaccine passports, mainstream media’s own polls show

The Canadian federal government announced last Friday that starting in October, COVID-19 jabs will be required to travel domestically by air, train, or boat.

ONTARIO (LifeSiteNews) – Despite Canada’s government just days ago saying only the COVID-19 vaccinated would be allowed to travel domestically, some unofficial polls from the mainstream media have shown that Canadians are opposed to vaccine passports.

An August 11 Twitter poll conducted by the London Free Press found that out of 9,060 votes, 77.7 percent of respondents do not support “having a #COVID19 vaccine passport in Canada.” Only 22.3 percent of respondents voted in favor of vaccine passports.

Another Twitter poll conducted on August 9 by Niagara, Ontario radio station NewsTalk 610 found that, out of 10,190 votes, 82.3 percent of respondents answered “no” to the question, “Do you think Ontario should implement a vaccine passport or certificate program?”

Only 16.7 percent of respondents answered “yes” with one percent answering “No – rely more on tests.”

A recent poll conducted by the National Citizens Coalition (NCC) reported that when it comes to vaccine passports, an overwhelming majority said “no.”

A total of 84 percent of respondents made up NCC supporters and “grassroots” Canadians said that they would not support a “vaccine passport” which would be used to restrict those without COVID-19 jabs.

When asked if they would vote for a politician who “supports those kinds of restrictions,” a total of 79 percent of respondents said “no.”

Additionally, 91 percent of respondents in the NCC poll said they would not support additional COVID-19 lockdowns come the fall.

The NCC bills itself as a group with the “express goal to stand up for Canadian taxpayers and to champion small-c conservative values.”

By contrast, one Maru Public Opinion poll claims that over 75 percent of Canadians would back a system for proving vaccination status.

The Canadian federal government under Liberal Party Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced last Friday that starting in October, Canada will be mandating COVID-19 jabs as a requirement to travel domestically by air, train, or boat.

Canada’s Transport Minister Omar Alghabra also said that the government will require employees in the federally regulated “air, rail and marine transportation sectors to be vaccinated.”

“In addition the vaccination requirement will also extend to certain travelers. This includes all commercial air travelers, passengers on interprovincial trains and passengers on large marine vessels with overnight accommodations such as cruise ships,” said Alghabra.

Alghabra said in addition to mandating COVID-19 jabs for domestic travel for Canadians, all federal workers will be required to be jabbed by October.

Last Wednesday, Canada’s Immigration Minister Marco Mendicino said that a vaccine passport will be “a key step forward in ensuring Canadians will have the documents they need once it is safe to travel again.”

According to Mendicino, the federal vaccine passport is being developed in conjunction with all Canadian provinces and will be for those who have been fully vaccinated. It will include one’s COVID-19 jab type, and where and when it was given.

Trudeau did say in June that in the fall the federal government will be rolling out a system of “national certification of vaccination status” that travelers can use to prove they’ve had the “full” two doses of the COVID-19 jab.

Currently, both Manitoba and Quebec have forms of vaccine proof one can attain in digital form.

Jurors’ vaccine status ‘private and personal,’ British Columbia judge rules

POWELL RIVER, British Columbia (LifeSiteNews) — A Canadian provincial Supreme Court judge has ruled that lawyers are not allowed to ask potential jurors if they have received COVID-19 vaccinations.

Crown prosecutors had sought permission to request that the vaccination status of individual jurors be made known to the public as part of a given trial. According the Canadian Blacklock’s Reporter, the Justice who oversaw the ruling, Geoffrey Gomery, stated that the request was not acceptable because the issue was “private and personal.”

Gomery wrote that “panelists might well have reasons to wish not to discuss their vaccination status in public in the intimidating environment of a courtroom.” In the estimation of the judge, disclosing personal medical information is inappropriate.

According to the judge, courts have taken what health officials consider the necessary precautions to avoid a COVID-19 outbreak. Various measures have been put in place, including distancing measures and plastic dividers.

Gomery stated that “until quite recently it could be assumed most jurors were unvaccinated,” and that he cannot recall a single outbreak “that has been traced to the conduct of a criminal or civil trial.”

The judge not only mentioned the fact that the risk for jurors is negligible, but also that if a panelist worried about the risk of fulfilling jury duty given the precautionary measures already in place, he “would have excused them in any event.”

At the time of the publication of Justice Gomery’s statements, it was not yet the case that federal agency had mandated the COVID-19 vaccine for employees. That changed on Friday, August 13, when Canada’s Transport Minister Omar Alghabra declared that all federal workers will be required to be jabbed by October. Even travelers who are not employees will be expected to be vaccinated or produce a negative test, in order to travel with the country of Canada by air or any other interprovincial travel mechanism regulated by the federal transportation authority.

Conservative candidate Erin O’Toole has expressed his opposition to mandated vaccines for domestic Canadian travelers. He said, “vaccines are not a political issue. To try and make them one is dangerous and irresponsible.”

However, O’Toole has also said prefers a regular rapid testing regime to keep workplaces safe from COVID-19. O’Toole believes that vaccine mandates are not acceptable, but that Canadians who choose not to take the vaccine will still need to participate in some sort of testing procedure in order to travel the country by way of a federally regulated industry.

This is not the first time that a government-regulated industry has been told it must comply with a vaccination requirement from Public Health. In 2018, the Ontario Nurses’ Association won a decision on the controversial vaccinate or mask policy, striking down the policy in effect at St. Michael’s Hospital and several other hospitals that form the Toronto Academic Health Science Network. Nurses could have been forced to don a mask if they chose not to vaccinate.

A similar case was won for Ontario nurses in 2015, as well. The arbitrator of the 2015 decision stated that “the mask requirement amounts to compulsory disclosure of personal medical information.”

Consistent in each decision, as well as in the recent decision by Justice Gomery, is that the medical privacy of the individual is reason enough to reconsider mandating vaccines for government employees, including jurors.

In a hotel room rigged with hidden cameras and microphones, participants in a staged internet marketing event attempt to influence the survival instincts of another by pretending to ignore smoke and smoke alarms in a conference room with eight people.

In short, when the participant was alone in the room when the smoke appeared, their survival instincts kicked in and they left the dangerous situation quickly, even abandoning their possessions. When the participants was in the room with seven other people who pretended to ignore the smoke, the participant did nothing, staying in the room on an average of thirteen minutes, long enough to have killed them in a real fire.

“I was looking for some sort of reaction from someone else, even just the slightest little thing that they’d recognized that there was something, you know, going on here. For me, to knod of react on that and then do something about it, I kind of needed prodding.” ~Participant

In 1979 a scenario like this played out in real life in a Woolworth’s department store in Manchester, England. About 500 people were in the building when a fire broke out, which ultimately killed ten and sent forty-seven to the hospital. Investigators found that the majority of deaths occurred in the restaurant where people simply did not evacuate, presumably because of the ingrained and group behavior of waiting to pay the check.

As it turns out, the FDA did no research to investigate ivermectin’s effectiveness, as we will discover.

Many news organizations have parroted the FDA’s statements. For example, a CBS Evening News report broadcast on July 1, called ivermectin a “horse gel,” as reporter David Begnaud stared into the camera and said, “a lot of humans have tried it, and they’ve ended up in the hospital.”

What are the facts? The remarkable thing is that in the FDA’s short statement, the agency included one outright lie, one very interesting act of misdirection, and one very surprising admission—none of which, to my knowledge, has been discussed in the mainstream media so far.

Half of Canadians think it’s time for another party to govern, regardless of whether they are satisfied or dissatisfied with the Trudeau government, according to a survey released today by Leger.

The survey was conducted online from August 13, 2021, to August 15, 2021, with 2,007 Canadians and 1,005 Americans, 18 years of age or older, randomly recruited from Leger Opinion’s online panel.

The survey asked respondents if they “are very satisfied, somewhat satisfied, somewhat dissatisfied, or very dissatisfied with the Canadian government led by Justin Trudeau.” 51% expressed dissatisfaction.

Respondents’ opinions on “which federal party leader would make the best Prime Minister of Canada” were recorded as 28% for Trudeau, 18% for Singh and 15% for O’Toole.

When asked which political party they would vote for if the election were held today, 29% said they would vote for Trudeau’s Liberals and 24% for O’Toole’s Conservatives.

Although the Liberals have a 5% lead over the Conservatives, economist and pollster Jean-Marc Léger says “victory is far from assured.” In an editorial accompanying the survey, Léger noted that the Liberals have many hurdles to overcome and “42% of voters can change their mind.”

Léger points to three hurdles that the governing Liberals will have to overcome in order to win the election – COVID-19, the economy and the environment.

With regards to COVID, the Leger poll shows that 24% of Canadians are worried about their safety when voting in the upcoming federal election due to the pandemic.

On the economy, the Trudeau government has created a historic deficit of over $350 billion with no plan to reduce spending or balance the books.

Perhaps the biggest uncertainty, as Léger points out, is the performance of Conservative leader Erin O’Toole. Léger says O’Toole “will be in the spotlight for 36 days and will have to convince Canadians that he is ready to govern.”

Northern Saskatchewan candidate Gary Vidal is asking rural voters to consider the Liberal government’s poor record when it comes to issues important to them like rural crime when they vote in the upcoming election.

In an interview with the Prince Albert Daily Herald, the Desnethé—Missinippi—Churchill River candidate, who served as an MP in the last parliament, said the Liberals have turned a blind eye to rural Canadians.

“I asked the prime minister a question on rural crime and I got an answer that was a nothing answer. I challenged (Public Safety Minister) Bill Blair on rural crime… I’ve sent letters recently to the minister of agriculture on the drought conditions and the challenges to the ranchers,” Vidal said.

Vidal pointed to promises by Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole to connect rural communities to high-speed internet services and creating a new cabinet position dedicated solely to rural issues as evidence that his party takes the matter seriously.

“O’Toole talked about building a digital infrastructure to connect all of Canada’s high-speed internet by 2025,” Vidal told the Prince Albert Daily Herald.

“He’s committed to appointing a minister of rural affairs to the cabinet – somebody that will sit at the cabinet table and will speak on behalf of rural Canadians. So, this is a way to get that voice to the table. He’s committed to tackling rural crime… Infrastructure funds would be set aside specifically for rural projects, rather than just urban projects.”

Included in the recently-unveiled Conservative election platform is a series of promises dedicated to addressing rural issues.

The platform includes implementing a national plan to tackle rural crime, improve access to rapid COVID-19 testing in rural communities and bridging the digital connectivity gap for Indigenous communities living on reserves or in remote areas.

O’Toole’s platform builds off of recent legislation introduced by the Conservatives, including Conservative candidate Blaine Calkins’ Private Member’s Bill C-289 which would amend the criminal code to offer more protections to victims targeted because they live in rural settings.

In June, Conservative candidate Damien Kurek similarly chastised the Liberals for being “absentees” on the issues important to rural voters.

That is what the column you are reading is … an attempt to influence people’s opinions.

Of course, that isn’t all it is. Nothing is ever only one thing. But it is absolutely propaganda. And so is everything else that you will read today.

I’m terribly sorry if this comes as a shock, but there is no “objective” fantasy-land in which no one is trying to persuade you of anything or pressure you or otherwise influence you to do something. It does not exist, this “objective” dreamworld, where “authoritative sources” report “the facts,” where “the facts” are “verified” by “neutral” “fact checkers,” where ex-NSA and CIA spooks are hired as commentators by MSNBC and CNN because they care about “the truth,” where “science” is immune to manipulation. This fantasy is the alibi of authoritarians, cult leaders, and assorted other control freaks, and the people they have brainwashed into believing in it.

Everyone — and I do mean literally everyone — is trying to persuade or convince you of something. Your friends, family, colleagues, your boss, advertisers, lobbyists, government officials, the media, artists, teachers, doctors, journalists, bloggers, Twitter bots, etc. This isn’t cause for paranoia. It’s a natural part of human social behavior. It is happening right now as you read this sentence. I’m trying to convince you of something. In a moment, I’m going to urge you to do something.

This is how we create “reality,” collectively, by persuading and influencing each other, or allowing ourselves to be persuaded and influenced, mostly by powerful ideological forces that do not care about us, and just want to control us, but also by each other, moment by moment, with every word we speak and every action we take.

Every choice we make is an advertisement, a political statement, a profession of faith … a small contribution to a work of art we are collectively creating, which is what “reality” is. You and I are doing it right now. I’m trying my best to influence you, and you’re deciding whether to let me do that, whether you trust me … whether we share the same “reality.”

This process (or this negotiation, if you will) is never-ending, and there is no escape from it. Pretending that it isn’t happening — that we are not creating “reality” together with every choice we make — is childish, and is particularly dangerous at a time like this, when a new form of totalitarianism is being rolled out all across the world. This is not the time to retreat into fantasies. As I noted in Part I of this piece, we are in a propaganda war, and we are losing. 1. Human beings all have a spark of the Divine in them. Call it the soul. This is our true identity. This is also called the "Self" or Consciousness.

1. This soul is embodied in an ape-like animal which has a variety of physical and psychological needs and instincts. Most of our mental activity is devoted to satisfying these material, sexual or psychological needs. We should look upon these thoughts as those of a practical and sometimes primitive roommate. This is our small "s" self.

Self conscious – To see ourselves as God sees us.

Self sacrifice – To sacrifice our lives in His service.

Self respect – To ensure that everything we think and do is worthy of a creature made in God's image.

Self centred — God is our focus. What does God want me to do?

enjoy oneSelf – To experience God's bliss and give thanks for the miracle of life.

IMHO, Obeying this God-within is the basis of all true religions and the key to human unity and salvation.

Taxpayers group pushes NDP for proof that it paid back pandemic wage subsidy

The Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF) is calling on the NDP to show proof that it had paid back the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy (CEWS) it had collected.

Ahead of the upcoming election, CTF Federal Director Franco Terrazzano called out the party after it had recently proposed to force businesses that took the CEWS and yet gave their executives bonuses to return the money.

“Businesses shouldn’t be fattening their C-suites while taking tax dollars, but it was also wrong for political parties to help themselves to the wage subsidy meant from struggling businesses,” wrote Terrazzano in a press release.

“It’s great to see the NDP calling on these businesses to pay the wage subsidy back and taxpayers are looking forward to confirmation that the NDP is paying back the subsidy as well.”

NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh made the announcement on Tuesday while speaking to reporters at a campaign stop in Toronto.

Reports from the time noted that the NDP continued to collect CEWS payments until at least November 2020 despite having one of the best years in fundraising since the last election in 2019.

Additionally, the Liberals, Conservatives and the Greens also collected CEWS. The Bloc Quebecois were the only party to abstain from cashing in on the subsidy.

As noted by the CTF, the NDP like all other federal parties already receives tax credits for political donations and reimbursements during elections which collectively cost taxpayers millions each election year.

“Many Canadians were worried about their jobs during COVID-19, but I don’t think too many people were laying awake at night worried about a shortage of political attack ads,” said Terrazzano.

“Parties already receive special taxpayer treatment and it’s important that they pay the wage subsidy back because they clearly didn’t need it.”

Former ambassador calls for new government to be tougher on China

A former Canadian ambassador to China called on the incoming government to take a tougher approach to combat China’s “thuggery” following the 2021 election.

Guy Saint-Jacques who was Canada’s ambassador to China from 2012 to 2016, made the comments in an op-ed penned for the Globe and Mail on Tuesday.

“Ottawa needs to adopt a more robust strategy to counter China’s attack on international law and norms, as well as its interference and spying activities in Canada. The electoral campaign offers an opportunity to ask political parties how they envisage future relations with China,” wrote Saint-Jacques.

“Let’s hope the new government elected on Sept. 20 will quickly produce a new engagement strategy with China that opposes its thuggery and meets the expectations of Canadians.”

The op-ed comes following a series of harsh court decisions handed down by the Chinese government onto several Canadian citizens, including Michael Spavor and Michael Kovrig.

Recently, Spavor was sentenced to 11 years in prison on trumped up espionage charges. Meanwhile, Kovrig was tried before a Chinese court to which Canadian diplomats had no access. China has stated that a verdict regarding Kovrig’s espionage charges would arrive at a later date.

Both Canadians were arbitrarily detained by Chinese authorities in 2018 following the arrest of Chinese heiress and Huawei CFO Meng Wanzhou by Canadian authorities in Vancouver.

Wanzhou is wanted by the US for breaking various sanctions on Iran and other related wire fraud charges.

In recent weeks, China also upheld a death sentence conviction for Canadian citizen Robert Schellenberg who was convicted by Chinese authorities of smuggling drugs. Additionally, three other Canadians are on death row in China and are being denied consular access.

“Knowing China has used hostage diplomacy with increasing frequency in the past 15 years, and following the adoption of the Declaration Against Arbitrary Detention in State-to-States Relations in February, Canada should agree with its allies on a common strategy, including sanctions, that would be applied against China if it dares to take people hostage again,” wrote Saint-Jacques.

As Justin Trudeau pushes for mandatory vaccination of federal public servants and those working in federally regulated sectors, a Department of National Defence web page tells employees that while vaccination is encouraged, management “cannot require a public servant to get a vaccine, nor is mandatory vaccination supported under Canadian law.”

Assurances that the COVID-19 vaccination is voluntary have been on the web page since at least March, a review of archived versions shows. However, as the website has been updated over the course of the year, more information about employees’ rights has been added.

On Wednesday, a section was added to the top of the page notifying Department of National Defence staff and enlisted Canadian Armed Forces members of the government’s forthcoming vaccine mandate, but the former information – which says such a mandate is unlawful – remains in place.

This comes one day after Trudeau said at a Markham, Ont. campaign stop that there would be “consequences” for federal employees who refuse to get vaccinated, though he declined to say what these would be.

Trudeau says all affected workers must be vaccinated unless they have a medical or religious exemption. The Conservatives say they encourage people to get vaccinated, but believe “Canadians have the right to make their own healthcare decisions.” Their plan would give federal public servants a choice between getting vaccinated or undergoing frequent rapid testing.

While the Liberals have criticized this proposal for not going far enough, it aligned with a document circulating from the federal treasury board, the central agency that technically employs public servants. When reporters pointed out that the government seemed to be adopting the Conservative plan, the Treasury Board Secretariat pulled the letter, which Trudeau said contained “erroneous” information.”

The Department of National Defence FAQ page not only tells employees vaccination is a choice, but also offers unvaccinated public service employees advice on how to handle “stigmatization” in the workplace from vaccinated colleagues.

“There will be no negative impacts to your employment or your career should you choose not to receive the COVID-19 vaccine,” the website says. “DND respects the rights of their employees. In accordinate with current information from government and public health officials, the COVID-19 vaccine will be voluntary but is recommended for everyone’s safety to decrease the spread of COVID-19 in the workplace.”

The website goes on to say employees “experiencing negative reactions” from coworkers should notify a manager so that “appropriate mitigation measures” can be taken.

Another section on the website says “employees are not required to disclose to anyone whether or not they have been vaccinated as this is private medical information.”

UCalgary hiring specialist in “critical race theory” and “decolonizing”

The University of Calgary put out a job advertisement on Tuesday for an “academic development specialist” with the requirement that they have an in-depth grasp of critical “race theory” and “decolonizing.”

According to the job description, academic development specialists will work to address the “unique academic support needs of first generation and equity deserving students.”

“Equity deserving students” are described elsewhere by the University as “women, Indigenous Peoples, racialized minorities, persons with disabilities, LGBTQ2S+, and anyone who might face harassment, bullying, discrimination and marginality.”

Critical race theory, which originally began as an interpretive lens in the field of legal studies, has faced increasing scrutiny from critics in the US over accusations that it teaches a thinly-veiled form of racism and segregation.

Due to efforts by parents who were concerned about the introduction of critical race theory and related concepts into school curriculums across the US, several state school boards have banned the theory from classrooms.

Concepts such as “decolonization” which is defined by the University of Calgary as the complete “bureaucratic, cultural, linguistic and psychological divesting of colonial power” by society often appears alongside or is influenced by critical race theory.

The job advertisement is the second of its kind this month by the University which asks for experience in the controversial fields.

As exclusively reported by True North, a job posting for the University’s Cumming School of Medicine required prospective applicants to have critical race theory knowledge and experience in “activism.”

“This role requires expertise in the areas of community development, advocacy and activism, leadership and innovation, professional and research ethics, and inclusive practices. Areas of expertise may include mad studies, queer studies, critical disability studies, health equity, population health, social justice and critical race theory,” the job ad claimed.

Additionally, in Canada, critical race theory has similarly found its way into major school boards like the Toronto District School Board which held a presentation last year to lecture parents on critical race theory ideas like “colorblindness racism.”

"It's going to be a difficult fall and winter": Ontario halts reopening plan, mandates COVID-19 vaccination policies for education, healthcare workers

The Ontario government has announced a sweeping new assortment of public health measures over concerns of a "fourth wave" of COVID-19. The province is officially halting its reopening plan and will require all hospitals, ambulance services and home and community service providers to adopt mandatory vaccination policies.

Vaccine eligibility will also be extended to all children who turn 12 this year, and the province will begin offering third doses of COVID-19 vaccines to vulnerable populations.

Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer Kieran Moore announced the new measures on Tuesday, citing concerns over the spread of the Delta variant and a supposed fourth wave of COVID-19.

"I am sorry to say I think it’s going to be a difficult fall and winter and hence the reason we’re putting these policies in place."

The directive states that all hospitals, ambulance services and home and community service providers must require all employees, staff, contractors, students and volunteers to obtain proof of vaccination no later than Sept 7.

Any individual who remains unvaccinated past this date must either provide a medical exemption or undergo "education sessions" and COVID-19 testing at least once a week.

Dr. Moore further elaborated that organizations may implement even stricter vaccination policies on their own:

"This directive outlines the minimal standard that is expected. Should an organization choose to implement policies that go above and beyond, they will have the authority to do so."

The province also intends to expand the directive further, broadening its scope to include mandatory vaccination policies for all congregate care settings, public school boards, postsecondary institutions and retirement homes. "More information will be made available to these sectors in the coming days and weeks," said Dr. Moore.

Most universities in Ontario have already enacted mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policies for all staff, students and visitors, and the federal government announced last week that it will require vaccinations for federal employees and those working in federally regulated industries such as airlines and railways. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Tuesday that there would be "consequences" for those without medical exemptions who choose to remain unvaccinated, but did not elaborate on what those might be.

Mayor of Port Dover, Ont. tries to cancel motorcycle rally; party roars on anyway

For 40 years, the Friday the 13th motorcycle rally in little Port Dover, Ont., has been a grand tradition, occurring every Friday the 13th (in other words, once, twice or three times per calendar year).

Thousands of bikers descend on Port Dover on these Fridays to have a good time regardless if it’s rain or shine, sweltering hot or freezing cold.

But this year, Kristal Chopp, the mayor of Norfolk County, did her best to cancel the Friday the 13th celebration.

First of all, she laughably declared the gathering a “non-event.” Alas, when we arrived on the scene, it was clear that thousands of bikers did not get that particular memo — they converged upon Port Dover nevertheless. (Meanwhile, we wonder if Mayor Chopp is going to declare gravity and the Earth’s rotation around the sun “non-events” as well?)

Yet, why did Mayor Chopp reinvent herself as a wannabe party-pooper? Well, it’s all about COVID-19 safety protocols, of course!

Here’s what Her Honour told CityNews: “Holding to provincial regulations now in Ontario, we’re limited to 100 people for an outdoor gathering. What that means is that we have not issued any vending permits — there are no beer tents, there is no big entertainment that would have normally been set up.”

She added that camping and parking outside of town would be verboten (and enforced by diligent bylaw officers, of course). And the shuttle that typically brings people into town from those sites was also cancelled.

Wow. This mayor seems more fun than the proverbial barrel full of monkeys…

Still, Chopp’s tone-deaf attitude speaks volumes. Friday the 13th is like Christmas Day in Port Dover. Merchants — who have been devastated this past year and a half thanks to the lockdowns — welcome the influx of bikers. There is considerable money to be made on these weekends. But then again, why would Mayor Chopp care about the private sector? Like every other politician and bureaucrat, Chopp hasn’t lost a day’s worth of salary during the pandemic — in fact, many of these folks voted to give themselves raises.

And how is it that late last month the Toronto Blue Jays were granted a “national interest exemption” to allow 15,000 fans into SkyDome to watch baseball games, yet people converging outdoors in Port Dover makes for a supposed “super-spreader” event? (Perhaps attendees should’ve worn BLM T-shirts; no doubt Mayor Chopp would’ve not only endorsed the event but taken part in it as well.) Please, please — can someone explain the “science” at play here?

In any event, bikers tend to be made of sturdy stuff. And some pencil-neck politician screaming that the sky is falling did not deter thousands of motorcycling enthusiasts from taking part in this beloved event on a gorgeous summer day. And as we prepared to leave Port Dover, a sublime lime green chopper roared past us, its stereo blaring the Twisted Sister song, “We’re Not Gonna Take It” — which is surely an unofficial anthem for those Canadians who are sick and tired of debilitating lockdowns and restrictions. Mayor Chopp: take note.

Town of Banff mandates COVID vaccine for municipal employees

The popular tourist destination of Banff, Alberta has mandated COVID vaccines for all town employees, barring a medical or religious exemption. Town officials held a meeting on August 12 with all municipal employees regarding the vaccine requirements, local outlet Rocky Mountain Outlook reported.

“We had a pretty good understanding of who we thought were vaccinated within the organization, so we are only anticipating a very small number of employees that are not vaccinated currently,” Banff's Director of Emergency Management Silvio Adamo said.

“We have been having conversations and providing information … and each director is engaging their own departments in follow-up meetings to field any questions and assist wherever they can,” Adamo added.

With 127 COVID cases active in Banff and Lake Louise, the area of Banff National Park is at the top of cases per capita in Alberta. Adamo, meanwhile, believes that number only tells a fraction of the story.

“With the influx of our service workers coming from out-of-province from British Columbia and Ontario and Quebec and other areas of Canada, if any of those folks test positive we wouldn’t see those numbers sitting on our books,” he said. “We believe that number is much higher than that.”

Adamo, however, added that it's unclear how many of those cases are actually severe, describing the town as operating “slightly blind” in regards to hospitalization admissions and ICU numbers.

Conservative Party leader backs vaccine, test mandate for domestic travel, federal workers

OTTAWA, ON (LifeSiteNews) – The leader of the Conservative Party of Canada (CPC) is on board with mandating domestic travelers by air, rail, or sea to get COVID-19 injections.

But Erin O’Toole, Canada’s 48-year-old Leader of the Opposition, has also said that he will allow the “unvaccinated” to submit to rapid tests.

“Canadians want a reasonable and balanced approach that protects their right to make personal health decisions and the need to keep everyone safe,” reads a statement from O’Toole sent to the media on Sunday.

O’Toole’s statement appeared the same day Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau called a federal election. It will take place on September 20, 2021.

The statement said all federal workers would be mandated to have COVID-19 injections or “pass daily rapid tests.”

“A Conservative government will require unvaccinated Canadian passengers to present a negative test or pass a rapid test before getting on a bus, train, plane or ship,” it reads.

O’Toole’s remarks followed Friday’s news that the Canadian federal government will be mandating COVID-19 jabs as a requirement to travel domestically by air, train, or boat. The new requirement will take effect in October.

Canada’s Transport Minister Omar Alghabra stated that the government of Canada will require employees in the federally regulated “air, rail and marine transportation sectors to be vaccinated.”

“In addition, the vaccination requirement will also extend to certain travelers,” Alghabra continued.

“This includes all commercial air travelers, passengers on interprovincial trains, and passengers on large marine vessels with overnight accommodations such as cruise ships.”

Alghabra said in addition to mandating COVID-19 jabs for domestic travel for Canadians, all federal workers will be required to be jabbed by October as well.

Regarding Trudeau’s COVID-19 vaccination plan, there was no mention on Friday if those who are not jabbed will be allowed to travel with or work in a federal organization if they subject themselves to COVID-19 tests.

Alghabra did say on Friday that there will be “accommodation or alternative measures such as testing and screening” for the “few” who “are unable to be vaccinated,” which “may be determined in each situation to protect broader public health by reducing the risk of COVID-19.”

Last Wednesday, Canada’s Immigration Minister Marco Mendicino said that a vaccine passport will be “a key step forward in ensuring Canadians will have the documents they need once it is safe to travel again.”

One public service union, the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC), said in a statement Tuesday that “using discipline and termination to enforce” COVID-19 injection mandates is “unacceptable.”

Workers in 'high-risk settings' who refuse to provide proof of vaccination will be forced to submit to regular antigen testing.

TORONTO (LifeSiteNews) – The Ontario government is pausing its reopening plans and has instead called for new COVID-19 vaccine policies in certain settings, with the province’s chief medical officer of health Dr. Kieran Moore expressing that he is “sorry to say, I think it’s going to be a difficult fall and winter.”

Ontario has been one of the most locked down regions in North America since the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic. While many regions of Canada and the United States have fully, or almost fully opened, Ontario has not. Currently the province is in what it has called “step three” of its reopening plan. It is not a severe lockdown like during previous months; however, restrictions still affect the majority of activities for most citizens.

Mask mandates are still in place for indoor settings, religious gatherings still require masks and physical distancing, and retail settings are limiting customers allowed in at a given time.

According to Dr. Moore, the province is putting a stop to any reopening in order to “protect those under 12 years of age who can’t get immunized and to protect those settings.” The province has yet to provide any evidence that young people are at any serious risk from COVID-19.

Ontario has also mandated vaccine jabs for workers in what are considered “high risk settings,” not unlike what the federal government proposed last week for public servants and travelers.

The official website for the government of Ontario states the following:

To protect vulnerable patients and staff in settings where the risk of contracting and transmitting COVID-19 and the Delta variant is higher, the Chief Medical Officer of Health has issued a directive mandating hospitals and home and community care service providers to have a COVID-19 vaccination policy for employees, staff, contractors, students and volunteers, and for ambulance services to have a COVID-19 vaccination policy for paramedics. The vaccination policy must be effective no later than September 7, 2021, and at a minimum will require these individuals to provide proof of one of three things:

Full vaccination against COVID-19;

A medical reason for not being vaccinated against COVID-19; or

Completion of a COVID-19 vaccination educational session.

Individuals who do not provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 will be required to undertake regular antigen testing. These settings will be required to track and report on the implementation of their policies to the provincial government. This is similar to the vaccination policy requirements currently in place for long-term care homes.

Under Canadian law, there are exemptions to mandatory medical procedures that are based in legislation pertaining to human rights. Advocating on behalf of federal employees, the Public Service Alliance of Canada communicated to its members that “the government must also provide accommodations for workers who cannot be vaccinated for reasons protected under human rights legislation, including health concerns.”

As of yet, the government has not made it clear what constitutes “regular antigen testing” with any specificity, for those who abstain from taking the jab.

ONTARIO (LifeSiteNews) – School boards in Ontario will be forced to run vaccination clinics before and during the upcoming school year, Ontario Education Minister Stephen Lecce said Monday.

“By making vaccines more accessible, and with a cautious reopening in September following the expert advice of the Chief Medical Officer of Health, we will further bolster our fight against COVID-19 and variants,” Lecce said, according to the Toronto Star.

As reported by the CBC, the COVID-19 vaccinations are not yet approved for children under 12, and within the ages of 12-17, “only” 55% of children are “fully vaccinated.” According to the CBC, this is the lowest percentage out of any age group.

Dr. Kieran Moore, Ontario’s chief medical officer of health, is backing the decision by the Ontario government. “This is crucially important for their mental, physical and social well-being,” he said.

“Having vaccination clinics at our schools will make it more convenient for students to receive their vaccine in a familiar and comfortable environment and will help to ensure a safe and sustained reopening of our schools,” he continued.

The province said vaccinations will only be given after receiving “informed consent” from the student, and only if the student has “the capability to make this decision.”

In July, LifeSite reported that America’s Frontline Doctors, a group of eminent doctors and scientists, released an expert statement regarding the vaccination of children against COVID-19.

“Vaccination of adolescents for COVID-19 is unnecessary, claims demonstrating efficacy are misleading, and the safety profiles are catastrophic,” reported the team of experts.

On July 16, LifeSite also reported on the suspension of Dr. Francis Christian, a clinical professor of general surgery at the University of Saskatchewan and a practicing surgeon in Saskatoon, for coming out in opposition to the vaccination of children against COVID-19.

“In order to qualify for ‘emergency use authorization’ there must be an emergency,” said Christian.

“Covid does not pose a threat to our kids. The risk of them dying of Covid is less than 0.003% – this is even less than the risk of them dying of the flu. There is no emergency in children,” he continued.

Christian went on to note that vaccines have already caused “serious medical problems for kids” worldwide, including “a real and significantly increased risk” of myocarditis, inflammation of the heart.

This new vaccine clinic directive from Ontario is coming down around the same time Ontario Health Minister Christine Elliot addressed mandatory vaccinations for all healthcare and education workers in the province.

Mandatory vaccination for health and education workers “is something that we are taking a look at provincially and there is going to be further information coming forward to you on this issue very shortly,” Elliott said at a municipal leaders’ conference.

Premier Doug Ford had previously rejected the idea of mandating vaccinations for these workers, but has since said, “We’re not done with COVID yet. This is a virus that will exploit any opportunity, any weakness in the system to mutate and become even more lethal,” Ford continued.

“COVID will be something we live with for a while longer, we must always stay prepared.”
