Liberal Party leader Justin Trudeau apparently doesn’t “think about monetary policy” when it comes to managing Canada’s economy.

Trudeau made the statement while at a BC campaign stop in response to a reporter’s question on inflation rates and the Bank of Canada.

“You mentioned the Bank of Canada’s mandate. That mandate is actually expiring at the end of this year. If re-elected, it’s probably the review or the extension of the mandate is probably the first big economic policy decision you’d make after the election,” inquired the reporter.

“Do you have a position on the mandate? Would you support a slightly higher tolerance for inflation?”

“I don’t know. When I think about the biggest, most important economic policy this government, if re-elected, would move forward. You’ll forgive me if I don’t think about monetary policy,” said Trudeau.

“You will understand that I think about families and when we first got elected in 2015 the very first thing we did was raise taxes on the wealthiest 1% so we could lower them for the middle class. Similarly, a re-elected Liberal government will continue to invest in supports for families, for students, for seniors…”

Trudeau’s comments were quickly picked up and ridiculed on social media.

Conservative candidate Pierre Poilievre took a jab at Trudeau on Twitter singling out the Liberal leader for not sharing the concerns of Canada’s working class.

Rebel News lawyers have sent letters to the Nunavut RCMP and Territorial Health Authority, asking for an investigation into Infrastructure Minister Catherine McKenna's July trip to the northern territory where she was seen disobeying public health orders.

According to the Territory of Nunavut, anyone travelling there must get authorization from Nunavut’s Chief Public Health Officer, and quarantine for two weeks in self-isolation at approved hotels in Ottawa, Winnipeg, Edmonton, and Yellowknife. Exemptions to the pre-entry quarantine must be obtained in advance.

Vaccinated travellers still have to follow all public health measures and wear a mask in public for the first 14 days and maintain social distance from others.

However, McKenna posted several pictures of herself to Twitter in which she was clearly ignoring the public health rules requiring her to social distance and wear a mask in public. She was flaunting how she was above the rules that even residents of the territory who return after receiving medical treatment are forced to follow.

Rules are for everyone or for no one. And the harshest lockdown advocates, seeking the strictest punishments for COVID scofflaws, are so often the biggest rule breakers.

All persons entering Nunavut who are exempt from the mandatory fourteen (14) day isolation period set out in the Order Restricting Travel to Nunavut must wear a mask while in a public place and at their place of work for the first fourteen (14) days following their arrival in Nunavut.

The Order defines a public place to include 'all outdoor areas within the boundary of a municipality in Nunavut.' In addition to the mask requirement, the Order further mandates that all exempt vaccinated travellers must adhere to all other public health measures, including social distancing.

Our client advises that despite these requirements, Minister McKenna does not appear to have adhered to the Order’s mask requirement, or complied with social distancing protocols. Rather, they advise that she has been traveling around the territory, holding press conferences with the media and meeting with Canadians.

August 18, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) – Ontario’s top doctor said Tuesday that anyone working public service jobs in the province should get COVID-19 jabs or face “regular” antigen testing along with Orwellian-sounding vaccine “educational sessions.”

“Covered organizations will be required to offer an educational session about the benefits and risks of covid-19 vaccination. In cases where individuals do not provide full proof of vaccination, they will be required to undergo regular testing and demonstrate continued negative results,” said Dr. Kieran Moore, Ontario’s chief medical officer of health, at a press conference.

Moore said there will be no costs for the COVID-19 antigen tests and that at a “minimum” they would be mandated once per week.

“It would escalate to up to twice or three times a week, depending on how Delta is spreading in the community. My preference is that any individual embrace immunization as the strategy to best protect themselves, their community, and those that can’t be immunized, especially children under 12 years of age,” said Moore.

Moore began his press conference saying that COVID-19 vaccines policies with jab mandates will be required in education and healthcare settings by early September, despite Premier Doug Ford saying only a few weeks ago he was against mandating vaccines.

Moore added that all workers in hospitals, including all of its staff, volunteers, and contractors, should get COVID-19 jabs or be prepared to face regular testing.

He said all post-secondary schools, group homes and shelters, retirement homes, paramedics, and licensed day homes must enact COVID-19 jab policies that support pressuring people to be injected.

Similarly, Moore said all public schools must come up with COVID-19 vaccine disclosure policies as well.

“I said time was of the essence, but now that time is here, we must take assertive action to protect the health and safety of all Ontarians, especially as we move closer to a return to school and the cooler weather drives us indoors,” said Moore.

“The policies I am announcing today are an important link in the chain of protection that will help keep Ontario strong in the face of the fourth wave.”

MARKHAM, Ontario (LifeSiteNews) – Canada’s Prime Minister said there would be “consequences” for federally employed public servants who choose to not get COVID-19 jabs.

“We’re unequivocal that civil servants must be vaccinated,” Trudeau told reporters while speaking in Markham, Ontario on Tuesday.

“But the bottom line is if anyone doesn’t have a legitimate medical reason for not getting fully vaccinated, (or) chooses to not get vaccinated, there will be consequences.”

Trudeau made these remark while on the campaign trail, only a few days after calling a federal election. Canadians go to the polls on September 20 of this year.

When pressed by reporters to state what the “consequences” would be, Trudeau did not say. However, he claimed that the best way to keep everyone “safe” through the pandemic is to get “vaccinated.”

He then promised that “every time” he is at a microphone on the campaign trail he will “tell” people to get “vaccinated.”

Trudeau then shifted blame to the Conservative Party of Canada (CPC) under Erin O’Toole for not making its candidates disclose their COVID-19 jab status, stating that this is “ridiculous.”

He then argued that the CPC is planning to “rollback” his government’s plan announced last Friday that will mandate COVID-19 jabs for all of those wanting to travel domestically by air, train, or boat.

On Monday news broke regarding a now-deleted letter from Canada’s Chief Human Resources Officer Christine Donoghue. Posted to the government’s website, it had stated that the federal government’s new COVID-19 vaccine policy would allow rapid or daily tests.

While in Markham, Trudeau told reporters that this letter was “erroneous” and did not “reflect” government policy, which is why the letter was “brought down.”

Canada’s Transport Minister Omar Alghabra said Friday that the government of Canada will require employees in the federally regulated “air, rail and marine transportation sectors” to be vaccinated.

“It is meant to protect citizens from the unjustifiable and arbitrary intrusion of the state into their personal medical choices, and certainly from any sort of medical coercion,” she said.

Bildy noted that employees may also have “exemptions under the Human Rights Code” that are applicable “although they are likely limited to religion, creed or medical grounds.”

Regarding vaccine passports, Bildy said that mandating COVID-19 jabs for domestic travel will segregate the vaccinated from the unvaccinated.

“The full implications of widespread vaccine mandates are not yet known, but this much is certain: it will divide society. Those persons who cannot or choose not to be vaccinated for COVID-19, as is their right, will be segregated and denied a normal existence,” she said.

“They will be vilified in the media and by government, ostracized by society, and ultimately persecuted,” Bildy continued.

“Those who defend them will be censored, silenced, and punished.”

Health Canada has authorized four COVID-19 injections for adults, all with connections to cells derived from aborted babies. All four have also been associated with severe side effects such as blood clots, rashes, miscarriages, and even heart attacks in young healthy men.

Last Wednesday, Canada’s Immigration Minister Marco Mendicino said that a vaccine passport will be “a key step forward in ensuring Canadians will have the documents they need once it is safe to travel again.”

People’s Party of Canada (PPC) leader Maxime Bernier has publicly stated he will not get COVID-19 jabs.

Bernier is the only federal party leader who has come out strongly against mandatory COVID-19 jabs as well as vaccine passports.

The Nova Scotia election experienced a historic upset on Tuesday after incumbent Independent candidate Elizabeth Smith-McCrossin was re-elected as an MLA .

Smith-McCrossin, who was originally an MLA with the province’s Progressive Conservatives, was kicked out of the party’s caucus after organizing a blockade in response to draconian lockdown measures by Premier Ian Rankin.

“Our voices have been heard. Cumberland North’s vote will be just as valuable as any other vote in the legislature,” Smith-McCrossin told Global News.

The blockade followed public health orders issued by Rankin which effectively prohibited travel between Nova Scotia and neighbouring New Brunswick and forced Canadians to self-isolate.

At the time, Smith-McCrossin took to social media and called on her constituents and supporters to shut down a portion of the Trans-Canada Highway until the premier acquiesced and opened the provincial border to travellers from New Brunswick.

As a result of her efforts, the provincial border was shut down for over 24 hours due to protesters blocking the area.

Soon after, Progressive Conservative Leader Tim Houston axed Smith-McCrossin from the caucus accusing her of having a “lack of judgment and personal responsibility”

On July 17, 2021, Rankin, who leads the province’s Liberal Party called a snap election forcing Nova Scotians to the polls.

In her riding, Smith-McCrossin squared off against former federal MP Bill Casey who was running under the Nova Scotia Liberal banner to replace her as an MLA.

Smith-McCrossin won the riding with 54% of the votes while Casey followed behind in second place at 31.7%.

Former Canadian Armed Forces lieutenant-general Andrew Leslie called out Defence Minister Harjit Sajjan’s handling of the ongoing sexual misconduct scandal taking over Canada’s military.

Leslie also served as a Liberal MP under the Trudeau government from 2015 to 2019, and was the Liberals’ chief whip.

In response to a statement from Sajjan about why the Liberal government hasn’t managed to address the problem in six years, Leslie pointed out in a tweet that it took less than four years for Canada to plan its monumental D-Day invasion in WWII.

“Interesting. The planning, training, equipping and execution involving many millions of soldiers for the D Day invasion and the subsequent battles to liberate Europe in WW2 took less than 4 years,” tweeted Leslie.

According to Sajjan, “transformative change” takes time and he has been working on the problem since “day one.”

“First of all, this started from day one and we’ve been working very hard. I wish transformative can actually happen afterwards. We know that when it comes to 10, 20, 30 years ago and the climate that was there, something that I’ve personally seen that it does take time,” Sajjan said in an interview with CBC News’ Ashley Burke.

Sajjan’s evasion comes at a time when a growing number of top officials in the military are being accused of sexual harassment or misconduct.

Among the accused is former general Jonathan Vance, who is being investigated over misconduct allegations stemming from a relationship with a female subordinate.

According to testimony by former military ombudsman Gary Walbourne, Sajjan knew of the allegations as far back as 2018 but had turned down seeing evidence Walbourne had presented him at the time.

“Yes, I did directly tell him about an allegation of inappropriate behaviour against the chief of defence staff,” Walbourne told parliamentarians.

“I did tell the minister what the allegation was. I reached into my pocket to show him the evidence I was holding. He pushed back from the table and said, ‘No.’ The minister didn’t want to see the evidence.”

Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole continues to be the first choice among Canadian voters when it comes to leading the economy out of the pandemic, recent polling shows.

According to the latest poll by the Angus Reid Institute, 41% of voters think that the Conservatives and O’Toole would be the best suited to handle growing the economy post-pandemic.

“If this were a campaign entirely centred on post-pandemic economic growth, Erin O’Toole would be in a relatively advantageous position,” wrote Angus Reid researchers.

“The Conservatives have been more concrete about their economic plans than the Liberals in the campaign’s early days. O’Toole’s party has promised to recover the one million jobs lost since the beginning of the pandemic within one year.”

The online survey was conducted between August 14-17 and included a randomized sample of 1,614 Canadian voters who were members of the Angus Reid Forum.

In comparison, a similar poll would carry a margin of error of +/- 2.5 percentage points.

When it comes to the economy, only 36% of Canadians said they would trust the Liberals to handle the country’s finances in the post-pandemic future.

Despite the Conservative’s advantageous position on economic matters, the Liberals continue to lead in Canadian voting intentions.

The poll found that 36% of people would vote for the Liberals while 30% stated that they would be voting Conservative. Meanwhile, the NDP remains behind at 20% of the vote.

Angus Reid’s findings seem to corroborate a past poll finding O’Toole led on issues like the deficit, the economy, and energy or natural resource issues.

PPC leader Maxime Bernier pledges 0% inflation target if elected

To protect the standard of living of Canadians, People’s Party (PPC) leader Maxime Bernier announced on Thursday that if elected on September 20, a PPC government would change the Bank of Canada’s inflation target from 2% to 0%.

The PPC announcement followed a Statistics Canada report released yesterday that showed the inflation rate in July was 3.7%— almost double the 2% target. The spike in inflation did not surprise Bernier, who said that this is a consequence of the Trudeau government’s decision to print over $350 billion to finance their gigantic deficit.

“Instead of paying all this spending directly with taxes, we will pay it indirectly with a loss of purchasing power and a debasement of our dollar,” Bernier said.

The Statistics Canada report shows that the prices of everyday goods have all risen significantly— some at a faster pace than ever before. Food prices increased 1.7% in July 2021 compared with July 2020. The homeowners’ replacement cost index, which is related to the price of new homes, rose at its fastest rate since 1987.

The Bank of Canada inflation-control target mandate is up for renewal this fall and will have to be approved by the Prime Minister. Since the 1990s, the mandate has been to keep inflation at 2%.

On Wednesday, when asked at an Ottawa press conference if he would raise the mandate if re-elected, Trudeau said, “I don’t know. When I think about the biggest, most important economic policy this government, if re-elected, would move forward, you’ll forgive me if I don’t think about monetary policy, you’ll understand that I think about families.

Many blasted Trudeau for his comments including Bernier, who said Trudeau’s comments were “stupid” and affirmed that, unlike the Liberals, the PPC believes that “a sound monetary policy is crucial to maintaining our standard of living and ensuring the stability of our economy.”

The Conservative Candidate for Carleton Pierre Poilievre also weighed in on the Liberal leader’s gaffe and said that by flooding the market with cash, Trudeau has caused demand-pull inflation in which too much money is chasing too few goods. Poilievre said Canada’s growing inflation rate “is the result of the Trudeauian idea that you can simply create cash, buy things for government with it without any consequences for the people.”

Facebook recently released their Canadian Election Integrity Initiative after giving an exclusive interview to CBC reporters about the program.

The social media giant's head of public policy in Canada, Kevin Chan, told CBC that if you're “upset with a decision by Facebook to remove a post”, you can appeal to an independent oversight board, which in turn was set up by Facebook.

“Politicians are not exempt from enforcement against breaches of our harmful misinformation policy”, continued Chan.

One other media outlet, Agency France-Press, the subsidized Paris-based news agency, will also act as a campaign fact checker. “Facebook requires fact-checking organizations to be independently certified,” said Alex Kucharski, spokesperson for the company.

Toronto announces vaccine requirement for city employees

Toronto has announced all of its city staff must be vaccinated by October 30, with limited exceptions, according to Mayor John Tory. The vaccine mandate is set to impact some 35,000 plus people employed by the City of Toronto.

According to a news release, members of the Toronto Public Service will be required to disclose and provide proof of their vaccination status beginning on September 13. Those who either refuse to disclose their vaccine status or are unvaccinated, the release said, will be forced to attend “mandatory education on the benefits of vaccination.”

Unvaccinated individuals “will then need to provide proof of first dose no later than September 30.”

By October 30, the city says that all staff must be fully vaccinated, but added that it “will comply with its human rights obligations and accommodate employees who are legally entitled to accommodation.”

“This is about ensuring the City of Toronto — your municipal government funded with your tax dollars — is doing everything it can to encourage vaccination and protect our workers,” Mayor Tory said. “Our end goal is to encourage and persuade people to get vaccinated, if they haven’t already, so our city workplaces — which includes many public places — are as safe as possible for them and for the people we serve.”

“Please do the right thing now and get vaccinated. It will help better protect you, your coworkers, and your loved ones.”

Toronto's Medical Officer of Health Eileen de Villa suggested that the evidence was clearly demonstrating that vaccines were protecting “people from becoming infected with COVID-19, acquiring more serious infections” and that the vaccine was saving lives.

Data collected in Israel and shared by Science Magazine, meanwhile, suggests that COVID cases and hospitalizations are surging in that country, despite 78 per cent of the aged 12+ population being fully vaccinated.

“There are so many breakthrough infections that they dominate and most of the hospitalized patients are actually vaccinated,” said Uri Shalit, a bioinformatician at the Israel Institute of Technology who spoke to Science Magazine.

“One of the big stories from Israel [is]: ‘Vaccines work, but not well enough,’” Shalit explained.

Information from August 15 showed that 514 Israelis were hospitalized with severe or critical instances of COVID-19, which marked a 31 per cent increase from only four days prior. Of those 514, 59 per cent were fully vaccinated, with 87 per cent of the vaccinated group being aged 60 or older.

Toronto's medical officer of health further outlined the necessity of the city's policy, saying that “getting fully vaccinated is the best way to reduce virus spread and our risk of COVID-19 and its more transmissible variants.”

“The evidence is clear that vaccines work to protect people from becoming infected with COVID-19, acquiring more serious infections and to save lives. Getting fully vaccinated is the best way to reduce virus spread and our risk of COVID-19 and its more transmissible variants. Establishing a workplace vaccination policy is a key action that employers, including the city, can take to keep workers, their families and our city safe as we continue living with COVID-19,” de Villa said.

It remains unclear as to what the City of Toronto's policy would mean should vaccine booster shots be rolled out, something that is anticipated in Canada and is expected to be made available to the general population in the United States beginning in September.

Canadians who plan to vote in the upcoming federal election without a mask should plan to vote by mail unless they have a medical exemption, the Chief Electoral Officer of Elections Canada has said.

Stephane Perrault told CTV News that voting stations will be “highly controlled” with “essentially the kind of measures that [Canadians] now have been seeing for the last 18 months.” This will include the distribution of masks, use of hand sanitizer and disposable pencils.

Demand for mail-in ballots is expected to increase this year, possibly to two or three million ballots, as opposed to 50,000 during the 2019 election. Elections Canada has reportedly increased its capacity to process mail-in votes, including implementing an online registration system.

Perrault also noted that it may take a few days for Elections Canada to release official results, depending on the number of mail-in ballots.

The federal election is set to take place on September 20.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau dropped by Barrie, Ont., recently, visiting a funky brewpub called Flying Monkeys. The slogan for this brewery/eatery is: “Normal is weird.” So, it truly was a perfect venue for the PM to drop by for a meet and greet photo op.

Naturally, everybody was welcome. Well, not everybody. Government-funded media (a.k.a., mainstream media) were warmly welcomed; independent media such as Rebel News were given the bum’s rush as per usual.

So it was that I had to scrum Justin Trudeau from the sidewalk. Most of my queries pertained to the upcoming vaccine passports. For example, I wanted to ask Justin the following:

Is the vaccine passport permanent?

Will religious exemptions to the vaccine passport be permitted?

Will the vaccine passport recognize natural immunity for people who got COVID and recovered?

And what will be the consequences for those Canadians who refuse to get vaccinated?

I think those are fair questions. And I also had some queries regarding Canada’s immoral disgrace when it comes to leaving interpreters and their families stranded in Afghanistan.

But while we still have freedom of the press in Canada, Justin Trudeau, the self-confessed fanboy of the People’s Republic of China, doesn’t care to embrace such a concept.

Well, that’s not entirely true. Because there are those journalists the prime minister is happy to shoot the breeze with those — i.e., the journalists his government funds with taxpayer dollars, whether we like it or not.

I spotted one such government-funded scribe pounding out some pithy prose while sitting on a staircase. She turned out to be Marieke Walsh of the Globe and Mail and I thought I’d ask her if she is in a conflict of interest position, given that she is being paid by the same government entity that she is obliged to cover.

Her response? “I’m not talking to you,” as she fled to her safe space aboard the Liberal press bus.

Gee, perhaps Ms. Walsh is vying to be a full-out Liberal, given that she has the Sgt. Schultz routine so well memorized…

But scaredy-cat stenographers aside, this weird election campaign is both frustrating and disturbing. Shouldn’t elected officials or those vying for public office have a duty to answer questions — even prickly questions? Or will these politicians only talk to people they agree with? Sad.

Trudeau campaign bus blocked by indigenous protesters on Vancouver Island

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's campaign bus was blocked by indigenous protesters today while making an election stop in British Columbia.

After wrapping up an event on Vancouver Island in the Greater Victoria area, the prime minister boarded his tour bus, only to have a group of indigenous-rights protesters gather in front of it. The group prevented the bus from leaving, jeering the prime minister for his lack of compassion toward Canada's First Nations community.

One protester shouted that Trudeau and the police surrounding him were “illegitimate,” with another accusing the prime minister of being on “stolen land.” The prime minister waited on the bus for around a half an hour before returning back indoors while security sorted out the incident.

According to Rebel News' Chief Videographer Mocha Bezirgan, environmentalist and anti-lockdown protesters were also present at the event, voicing their displeasure with the prime minister. Earlier, Trudeau had announced a campaign promise that his Liberal Party, if re-elected, would invest $9 billion into long-term care.

Canada's election is set to be held on September 20.

With the Canadian election right around the corner, politicians have begun campaigning all across the country. This past Tuesday, I had the opportunity to “attend” a Conservative Party event held by leader Erin O'Toole just a short distance from Toronto in Richmond Hill, Ont.

With the intent of asking O'Toole a couple of straightforward questions regarding his policies, I attempted to enter the event like various other media outlets were doing in front of me. After standing outside the entrance for a good 10-15 minutes, it became quite clear that I wasn't going to be allowed into the event. Luckily, we were able to catch O'Toole as he was stepping off his bus and making his way through the back door of the venue. As somewhat expected, he refused to answer my questions.

Just because Erin O'Toole doesn't want to answer our questions, doesn't mean we are going to stop asking them. O'Toole is running to be Prime Minister for “all Canadians,” not just those who watch the CBC. If he wants your vote, he should be willing to answer the questions that you care about. Not just the bad faith, ‘gotcha’ questions from the bribed mainstream media.

As the California governor recall election takes off, efforts to sabotage the Elder candidacy and those who voted for the recall are in full force.

There are already reports of efforts to steel the California governor election for Gavin Newsom. No one likes Newsom. He was horrible over the past year in instituting draconian measures to inhibit freedom during the COVID crisis. He is hated.

In this first example, Republican candidate Larry Elder is noticeably impacted by the way the ballot was created and folds added to the ballot. This is a low-tech hack of a ballot.

When folds run through candidate vote space it either does not scan and forces adjudication OR outright misaligns and auto-cancels the vote.

The design of the ballot will negatively impact Elder.

This second hack is referred to as the “postman hack”. This simple low-level hack perpetrated on voters is one of many ways a vote can be stolen. This is just one of them. Think about it if 10,000 of these votes were stolen? This is sometimes the narrow thin margin nefarious actors need to win!

QUEBEC (LifeSiteNews) – Candidates running for the Conservative Party in the up-coming Canadian election will be tested daily if they are not vaccinated for COVID-19, federal Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole said this week, as Ontario Progressive Conservative Premier Doug Ford threatens the party membership of two of his caucus members if they continue to refuse the jab.

The federal Liberals and federal NDP have mandated vaccinations against COVID-19 for their candidates, while the federal Conservatives have left that choice up to the individual candidate, but require that they submit daily rapid tests in order to seek election.

O’Toole was at a campaign stop in Quebec City on Wednesday when asked about his stance on vaccine requirements for caucus members, and whether or not he would require a similar policy as the federal Liberals, NDP, and Ontario Progressive Conservatives.

He responded, speaking in French: “Vaccines are a very important tool for combating COVID-19. I encourage all Quebeckers and all Canadians to get vaccinated, including my candidates and MPs. I expect my team to have a sold approach on all health measures across the country, including vaccines. But I will respect personal health decisions. But we need to use daily rapid testing if we have a candidate who is not vaccinated.”

The party also sent a directive to candidates that they will have to pay for their own tests.

O’Toole then doubled down on his pro-vaccination stance: “I will repeat: Vaccines are very important. That’s why I’ve fought for adequate supply over the past year.”

At the same campaign event, he was also asked about his stance on abortion. “I am pro-choice, and I have always been pro-choice,” he answered.

Doug Ford’s office confirmed that two Members of Provincial Parliament have still not taken the experimental jab. Chief Government Whip Lorne Cole gave an ultimatum to the party members: they have until Thursday August 19 at 5:00PM to take the shot, or they have to provide an official medical exemption. Failure to comply with the ultimatum will result in their expulsion from the party caucus.

This is not the first time that Premier Ford has kicked members of his caucus out for not complying with the party narrative and response to COVID-19. Cambridge MPP Belinda Karahalios was booted from PC caucus last year after voting against pandemic emergency powers bill. At the time she called the bill, which was used to justify seemingly indefinite application of restrictions on Ontario citizens, an “unnecessary overreach” on parliamentary democracy. Karahalios has since launched a new political party with her husband, Jim Karahalios, called the New Blue Party of Ontario.

Roman Baber, another MPP, was kicked out of the party by Ford in January of 2021 after he sent the provincial leader a two-page letter calling the provincial lockdown “deadlier than COVID.”

The insistence on vaccinations by political leaders comes as the left-leaning Canadian magazine Maclean’s released an article relaying polling information that suggests that the typical “vaccine hesitant” person is a 42-year-old Ontario woman who votes Liberal.

Large Canadian public service union comes out against COVID-19 jab mandate for federal workers

The Public Service Alliance of Canada says it 'supports vaccination requirements for federal workers to ensure the safety of our members in their workplaces, and to protect our communities, but using discipline and termination to enforce them is unacceptable.'

CANADA (LifeSiteNews) – A large Canadian public service union has said it is “unacceptable” that Canada’s federal government would use “discipline” to mandate its new requirement that all civil servants receive COVID-19 vaccines by October.

“This week, national political party leaders have made concerning statements about disciplining or terminating federal public service workers who choose not to be vaccinated as part of the government’s vaccine mandate proposal,” said the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) in a press release Tuesday.

“PSAC supports vaccination requirements for federal workers to ensure the safety of our members in their workplaces, and to protect our communities, but using discipline and termination to enforce them is unacceptable,” it continued.

The PSAC noted that it has been in consultation with the federal government on their “vaccination proposal” and their “position is clear.”

“Employees with a valid medical reason for being unvaccinated, or for reasons protected by human rights legislation, must be offered a formal accommodation under the law,” declared the group.

The PSAC statement came after the Canadian federal government under Liberal Party Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said last Friday that starting in October, it will be mandating COVID-19 jabs as a requirement for all civil servants.

The government also said COVID-19 jabs are required in order to travel domestically by air, train, or boat.

Trudeau then said this week that all federal workers and civil servants must get the COVID-19 jab or face “consequences.”

The COVID-19 jab mandate was made only days before Trudeau called a federal election. Canadians will head to the polls on September 20.

PSAC President Chris Aylward said that he will “not stand” for the termination of workers in his union who refuse the COVID-19 jabs.

Aylward said it is “very concerning to us when national party leaders are making statements around discipline around terminations when it comes to these vaccinations.”

“That is totally unacceptable to us,” said Aylward according to a CTV News report.

As for the PSAC, the union said if there are workers who are “unable or unwilling to be vaccinated” then the government must “temporarily reassign those employees to other duties where possible, or allow for alternate work arrangements such as remote work.”

“Where required, other measures should be explored, including regular screening and rapid testing. PSAC will continue to play an active role in consultations as the federal government develops its vaccination requirements plan. We will do our utmost to ensure the safety our members while protecting their rights in the workplace – including their right to privacy,” said the PSAC.

The PSAC represents over 215,000 workers across Canada who work for “federal government departments and agencies, Crown Corporations, universities, casinos, community services agencies, Aboriginal communities, airports, and the security sector among others,” according to the union.

Constitutional groups have blasted Trudeau’s COVID-19 jab mandate for travel and work, likening them to what a “totalitarian society looks like.”

“This is what a totalitarian society looks like, restriction of information (Bill C-36 for example), restrictions on the right to travel and cross regional boundaries, and segregation and persecution of dissenters,” interim President and lawyer for the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms (JCCF) Lisa Bildy told LifeSiteNews.

Last Wednesday, Canada’s Immigration Minister Marco Mendicino said that a vaccine passport will be “a key step forward in ensuring Canadians will have the documents they need once it is safe to travel again.”

The Canadian Constitution Foundation (CCF) has also come out against vaccine passports and COVID-19 jab mandates, saying it “crosses a bright line.”

“Canadians should not have to demonstrate their vaccination status to travel to see their family members. The policy is unjustified in light of Canada’s rates of vaccination, one of the highest in the world. It creates the absurdity that Canadians will be subject to more stringent requirements to travel from Calgary to Vancouver than from Toronto to Paris,” says the CCF.

Liberal candidate called early vaccine-takers “guinea pigs” and “entitled”

The Liberal candidate for Calgary Nose Hill suggested on her personal Twitter account last year that those who were the first to take the then-newly-developed COVID-19 vaccine were “entitled” and “guinea pigs.”

Jessica Dale-Walker, who was acclaimed by the Liberals in the Alberta riding Tuesday, made the comments in response to a Twitter thread about those hesitant to get the novel vaccine right away being accused of being anti-vaxxers.

“The reply to those is as follows: I chose to allow the entitled to flock for the vaccine like they demanded to be the guinea pigs, that way should there be problems those with brains were left behind,” Dale-Walker tweeted on November 23, 2020.

By November 2020, Pfizer-BioNTech had first submitted its emergency use authorization for its mRNA vaccine in the US. Several vaccines were also already being developed at the same time by Moderna and others.

True North reached out to Dale-Walker on social media to give her an opportunity to clarify the past statements but did not hear back.

In a separate tweet dated March 13, 2020, Dale-Walker suggested that conservatives and capitalists should be required to pay $20,000 to receive a COVID-19 vaccine, while for everyone else it should remain free.

“So in other words before giving the Vaccine (sic) two questions should be asked. Are you a capitalist? And Are (sic) you a conservative? A yes answer to either will cost $20,000 for the vaccine. A no answer to both is free with a lollipop,” tweeted Dale-Walker.

Calgary Nose Hill is currently held by Conservative Michelle Rempel Garner, who is seeking reelection.

In a statement to True North, Rempel Garner called Dale-Walker’s comments “bizarre and unhelpful” to vaccination efforts.

“Vaccines are a safe and effective tool to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and I encourage everyone to get one. As the shadow minister for health I fought hard to get the Liberals to fix their mess on procuring vaccines and get them to Canadians as fast as possible,” Rempel Garner said. “Right now, the Liberals should be working to improve access and education for those who haven’t received one. This candidate’s comments are bizarre and unhelpful to that cause.”

On March 13, 2020, Dale-Walker tweeted that closing borders in response to a pandemic would be “economic suicide.” In other tweets, Dale-Walker refers to herself as a “socialist,” and also decries capitalism.

Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau has accused Conservatives and Rempel Garner herself of spreading misinformation.

During an exchange in the House of Commons in March, Trudeau claimed that the Conservatives said that the COVID-19 pandemic wasn’t real and that people shouldn’t be wearing masks. In reality, a True North fact check found Trudeau’s statements to be false.

No jab, no job: Premier Ford set to expel MPP Rick Nicholls for not taking vaccine

Precisely one hour before the deadline, Nicholls, who was first elected in 2011, held a brief press conference at Queen’s Park noting that he was not going to acquiesce to the premier’s demand nor deadline.

Said Nicholls: “I took the premier at his word that vaccination is a choice and that all Ontarians have a constitutional right to make such a choice. Like almost two million eligible Ontarians, I choose to exercise this autonomy over my own body, while continuing to work hard for the people of Ontario.”

Nicholls did not take any questions from the media upon the conclusion of his four minute long press conference.

In the meantime, it has been reported that all other members of caucus have been vaccinated, although there are rumours that this might not be the case for two MPPs.

Still, in light of Premier Ford’s ultimatum, the question arise: whatever happened to the old pro-abortion chestnut of, “my body, my choice”? Whatever happened to the concept of reasonable accommodation?

Apparently when it comes to the Ontario PC Party, the new and not-so-improved slogan is, “our way or the highway.”

Just ask Rick Nicholls as he drives off into the sunset, presumably as an independent MPP if Doug Ford indeed follows up on his expulsion threat.

Central Alberta anti-lockdown politician running on a pro-biz, pro-freedom deplatformed by the Royal Canadian Legion

Glen Carritt is a familiar face to Rebel News viewers. He was one of two lead organizers of the pro-oil and gas United We Roll convoy to Ottawa, where he led hundreds of truckers to the nation's capital to bring Alberta's concerns to the Liberal government. Glen's also a former Innisfail town councillor who is now running for mayor in the Alberta community. He resigned his seat in protest after being investigated for opposing Black Lives Matter and supporting businesses that reopened in defiance of the lockdown.

Glen is also a Fight The Fines client, after he received a lockdown ticket for hosting an outdoor Easter event with the big bunny himself to lift the spirits of local kids. That monster!

Glen tried to book the Innisfail Royal Canadian Legion to host a town hall event with outspoken anti-mandatory vaccination activist, Cambridge-educated pathologist Dr. Roger Hodkinson. The other keynote speaker was Marcel Latouche, of the Institute for Public Sector Accountability. Both speakers were to speak on issues germane to Carritt's platform.

But after a politically motivated pressure mob and just one complaint from a Legion member, the event was canceled by the legion. The town hall, however, was successfully hosted across the street at the Fireside Restaurant with over 200 people taking in the speeches about government accountability and medical choice.

According to reports in local media, the manager of the local Legion had some strange things to say about Glen and the speakers he booked for his campaign town hall.

Chris Pickard, manager of the legion, said the decision was made following complaints from several citizens at large and by at least one legion member.

“He had booked it under the pretense that it was part of his mayoral platform. No big deal. We are totally all about that. No big deal. That’s cool. We are helping him out and then we started getting complaints,” said Pickard, adding the legion then started some “digging” about the event and the planned speakers.

“Turns out he had two keynote speakers coming in on (August) 16, and it didn’t seem to have anything to do with his mayoral platform,” added Pickard. “It's more of an anti-vax, anti-government sort of you know, angry rally, at which point, we had to look at, ‘does that contravene our bylaws?”

He said a call was made to provincial command and it was decided the legion would not allow the event to proceed at its Innisfail venue.

The Internet's social-media censors have been extremely vigilant at suppressing every tidbit of COVID vaccine "misinformation" that comes their way. So, as readers might imagine, drawing attention to publicly released data about the rare (but sometimes deadly) side effects associated with both mRNA and adenovirus-vector jabs has been…a challenge.

But let's back up: over the past couple of months, health authorities in the US and Israel connected rare instances of myocarditis - that is, inflammation of the heart - to the mRNA jabs produced by Pfizer and Moderna. After a hurried secret meeting with its advisors in late June, the FDA reluctantly released a warning about a "likely association" between incidences of myocarditis and the new side effects.

And now, a new twist: On Thursday evening, the Washington Post published a report claiming that the Moderna coronavirus vaccine may be associated with a higher risk of myocarditis in younger adults than previously believed. The report relies on new data from a Canadian study that has yet to be released.

How much more dangerous is the Moderna jab than the Pfizer? Well, the preliminary data leaked to WaPo show the risk of myocarditis might be as much as 2.5x higher for the Moderna jab.

The news represents the latest bump in the road for Moderna's high-flying stock, as patients (especially younger men in their 20s and 30s deemed at highest risk to suffer the side effect) now have an incentive to prefer Pfizer's jab over Moderna's (if they still have any confidence in the mRNA jabs at all, that is).

WaPo's sources stressed that the new research hasn't yet been concluded, and that there's still plenty of work to be done before the FDA decides whether to attach another warning label to the Moderna jabs. The sources also claimed that the new data "are not slam bang".

The investigation, which involves the Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, is focusing on Canadian data that suggests the Moderna vaccine may carry a higher risk for young people than the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, especially for males below the age of 30 or so. The authorities also are scrutinizing data from the United States to try to determine whether there is evidence of an increased risk from Moderna in the U.S. population.

The two people who described the investigation spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss an ongoing review because they were not authorized to discuss it.

One of the people familiar with the review emphasized it is too early to reach a conclusion. The person said the agencies must do additional work before deciding whether to issue any kind of new or revised warning or recommendation about the situation. In June, the FDA added a warning label for the Pfizer and Moderna shots — both known as mRNA vaccines — about increased risk of myocarditis.

“We have not come to a conclusion on this,” one of the people familiar with the investigation said. “The data are not slam bang.”

The myocarditis side effect is extremely rare and even if it is more likely in people receiving the Moderna vaccine, it probably is still very uncommon. Officials want to be careful not to cause alarm among the public, especially when officials are trying to persuade more people to be vaccinated amid a surge of cases fueled by the fast-moving delta variant.

So far, the FDA and CDC's official position is that the threat posed by COVID is far worse than any threat posed by vaccine side effects, and that all Americans over the age of 12 should get the jab. But as with any recent scientific judgment, there are others in the community who disagree - some who believe that the risk of side effects for young people might just outweigh the risk of harm from contracting COVID, which - as we have reviewed before - is virtually nil.

I’d like to stop writing about COVID, but I can’t because it has such strong economic implications, which can’t be separated. And I’m afraid policies will be enacted that will only make things worse.

We all know the Delta variant of the COVID virus (SARS-CoV-2) is spreading rapidly in the U.S. and Australia. Major outbreaks have also hit India and Brazil.

What has received less attention is the fact that the Delta variant is now also spreading in China. That’s ironic because the virus started in China at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

While the virus spread around the world, China quickly eliminated the spread inside China itself. Now, the virus has come full circle and is back in China in a new, more virulent form.

There’s a huge difference in how China approaches the virus from a public health perspective compared to the U.S., Japan or Europe. China’s lockdowns are far more extreme.

Why China Enforces Extreme Lockdowns

China will quickly identify an outbreak and cut off all car, train and air services to the affected area. China will also quickly shut down major ports and distribution centers if even a single case appears.

China knows that the spread of the virus is a threat to the legitimacy of the Chinese Communist Party. China cares more about Party loyalty and Party survival than it does about economic growth.

China is now imposing extreme measures, including canceling many domestic flights, closing ports and restricting vacation travel. China’s economy was already slowing before this new wave of the virus. Given China’s more extreme forms of COVID control, their economy will slow even further.

That’s bad news for China – and bad news for the world. Global growth will slow noticeably in the months ahead, partly because of the extreme nature of China’s lockdown approach.

That’s a prime example of how the virus and the economy are closely linked.

But how much do we really know about COVID? Can you really trust what the health authorities are telling you?

Science vs. Anti-Science

The essence of science is debate. One scientist will propose a hypothesis, which is then tested with experimentation. If the data from the experiment tends to confirm the hypothesis, it gains acceptance in a wider professional audience.

If the data tends to refute the hypothesis, it can be abandoned in favor of another new hypothesis. If the data are unclear, the experiments can continue. At the same time, other professionals can question the hypothesis or propose their own.

Different experts may question the experiments or challenge the interpretation of experimental data.

All of these ideas and results are published in peer-reviewed academic journals. The debate goes on until some consensus is reached. But even then, the consensus may last only until some even better view comes along. And, so it goes.

Anyone who says that the science on a particular topic is “settled” knows nothing about science because true science is never settled. It evolves. Just ask Newton, Einstein and Niels Bohr. They were three of the giants of science, yet each one revolutionized the work of their predecessors.

Unfortunately, none of the rules of real science seem to apply anymore. The “science” surrounding the COVID pandemic has been politicized, distorted, squashed and lied about to the point that citizens don’t trust their public officials – nor should they.

TORONTO (LifeSiteNews) — The Rebel News project ‘Fight the Fines,’ dedicated to defending every Canadian facing a COVID-19 related ticket as a free service, has surpassed 10,000 donors.

The campaign, which successfully represented a British Columbia mother facing a criminal charge after she was jailed for not wearing a mask despite a medical exemption, originally had the goal of fighting 1,000 tickets nationwide. The project and a team of crowd-funded lawyers, thanks to massive donor support, has since doubled their initial goal.

The campaign site now states, “We have already taken over 2,000 cases, but we’re not stopping, because we want to defend every single Canadian who gets a lockdown ticket.”

Between the tax-deductible donation section, through the registered charity Democracy Fund, and the non-tax-deductible section, directly through Rebel News, the campaign has exceeded 13,000 total contributors.

On November 26, 2020, Rebel News, under the headship of Ezra Levant, launched the project titled ‘Fight the Fines’ to provide free legal defense for Canadians fined for COVID-19 “violations.”

Upon the initial launch, Levant made a video stating, “it is my goal to fight 1,000 tickets across Canada … one of them could be yours.”

“I want to show these tyrants, these premiers and mayors, and especially the ‘unelected health czars,’ that they’re wrong to think they can pick on people who can’t afford lawyers,” Levant continued.

Levant also said in the video that the cost of this 1,000-ticket campaign was going to be $200,000. Due to the project’s success and the updated goal of fighting every ticket, the next fundraising benchmark is set at $2 million.

In April, the Democracy Fund, a registered Canadian charity, backed “Fight the Fines,” which allowed donors to start making tax deductible contributions. “You can now get an official charitable receipt for a donation and use it to reduce your Canadian taxes. So a $100 donation only costs you about $75, because you get the charity credit. A $1,000 donation gives you about $400 back at tax time,”

Now that COVID vaccines have established mRNA technology as the 'new frontier for vaccine development,' pharma giants have set their sights on an mRNA vaccine for respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) — which they hope to add to an already overburdened childhood vaccine schedule.

(Children’s Health Defense) – Over the decades since childhood vaccines began rolling out on a widespread scale, pediatric vaccine injuries have left many parents regretful for forgetting or ignoring a basic history lesson.

That lesson, in the words of Harvard medical historian David Jones, is that “when it comes to vaccines and immunization … there always has been a risk and there always will be a risk.”

Sixty-five years ago, families learned about the risks of medical experimentation the hard way when they allowed researchers to use their infants as test subjects for a vaccine against a newly discovered illness dubbed “respiratory syncytial virus” (RSV), a common-cold-like illness now considered to affect “virtually all children,” mostly uneventfully, by age two.

The disastrous RSV vaccine led to the death of two infants and to hospitalization for the majority of other young clinical trial participants.

Since that time, vexed researchers have continued to deploy “trial-and-error approaches.” But they admit the “road to an effective RSV vaccine is paved with challenges,” in large part because of the tricky problem of “vaccine-associated disease exacerbation” — a problem that has also plagued coronavirus vaccines.

The gist of the “exacerbation” issue, also called antibody-dependent enhancement or pathogenic priming, is that the vaccine “primes” recipients to later develop more severe disease instead of protecting them.

Lured by the prospect of a large untapped global RSV vaccine market, manufacturers are nonetheless setting their sights on RSV vaccine development — and not just for infants but also for pregnant women and the elderly.

By 2019, capitalizing on the proliferation of new vaccine technologies, clinical trials were evaluating an estimated 30 candidate RSV vaccines, and scientists were gleefully announcing that the world “might be on the brink of clinical implementation soon.”

The crowded field of RSV vaccine candidates includes messenger RNA (mRNA) vaccines. In fact, with COVID injections having opened the floodgates to establish mRNA technology as the “new frontier for vaccine development,” pharma giants appear more confident than ever that they are close to finally producing an RSV winner.

Vliet, the president of the Truth for Health Foundation, and other doctors and medical experts reconvened yesterday to discuss rediscovered peer-reviewed scientific research from 2012 and 2018. They also presented new evidence from whistle-blowers that shows the technology behind experimental COVID-19 shots damages fertility and pregnancy. It is not being reported to the public by anyone else.

During her opening address, Vliet highlighted a peer-reviewed study from 2018 which found that nanoparticles, used in mRNA jab technology, “can disrupt the levels of secreted hormones, causing changes in sexual behaviour,” since the nanoparticles “can pass through the blood-testis barrier, placental barrier, and epithelial barrier, which protect reproductive tissues.”

Of the many possible effects is that human immune cells are “trained to attack” a protein vital to a successful pregnancy, Vliet warned, “leading to miscarriages, birth defects, and infertility” following a COVID-19 inoculation.

Dr. Mike Yeadon, a former VP at Pfizer and outspoken critic of the currently available, experimental jabs, underscored that, for good scientific and medical reasons, “we never ever give experimental medical treatments to pregnant women.”

He noted that thalidomide, a medication once used for morning sickness in pregnant women that gave children birth defects, “taught everybody a lesson.” In the six decades following the devastation caused by thalidomide, “we have been really careful advising women not to take medicines that we don’t understand during pregnancy.”

Despite governments advertising the COVID jabs as being safe during pregnancy, Yeadon argued that “they’ve not been around long enough to have possibly been the case for [officials] to have evaluated [this].” Additionally, “they haven’t done any studies at all,” he said.

But Yeadon indicated that the situation is worse than the authorities not knowing. He said that the authorities do know about the COVID-19 jabs’ potential for causing problems in fertility and childbearing, and yet they continue to advise pregnant women to take the shots.

Like Vliet, Yeadon drew attention to research on lipid nanoparticles which “surround the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines.” These particles “accumulate in the ovaries of rats,” according to a report released by Pfizer in response to a freedom-of-information request.

The report “shows very clearly that the lipid nanoparticles accumulate at least twenty-fold [in the ovaries] compared with other tissues,” Yeadon said. Continue…

We are at the cusp of something major. The Great Barrington Declaration – As infectious disease epidemiologists and public health scientists we have grave concerns about the damaging physical and mental health impacts of the prevailing COVID-19 policies, and recommend an approach we call Focused Protection.

Coming from both the left and right, and around the world, we have devoted our careers to protecting people. Current lockdown policies are producing devastating effects on short and long-term public health. The results (to name a few) include lower childhood vaccination rates, worsening cardiovascular disease outcomes, fewer cancer screenings and deteriorating mental health – leading to greater excess mortality in years to come, with the working class and younger members of society carrying the heaviest burden. Keeping students out of school is a grave injustice.

Keeping these measures in place until a vaccine is available will cause irreparable damage, with the underprivileged disproportionately harmed.

Fortunately, our understanding of the virus is growing. We know that vulnerability to death from COVID-19 is more than a thousand-fold higher in the old and infirm than the young. Indeed, for children, COVID-19 is less dangerous than many other harms, including influenza.

As immunity builds in the population, the risk of infection to all – including the vulnerable – falls. We know that all populations will eventually reach herd immunity – i.e. the point at which the rate of new infections is stable – and that this can be assisted by (but is not dependent upon) a vaccine. Our goal should therefore be to minimize mortality and social harm until we reach herd immunity.

The most compassionate approach that balances the risks and benefits of reaching herd immunity, is to allow those who are at minimal risk of death to live their lives normally to build up immunity to the virus through natural infection, while better protecting those who are at highest risk. We call this Focused Protection.

Adopting measures to protect the vulnerable should be the central aim of public health responses to COVID-19. By way of example, nursing homes should use staff with acquired immunity and perform frequent testing of other staff and all visitors.

Staff rotation should be minimized. Retired people living at home should have groceries and other essentials delivered to their home. When possible, they should meet family members outside rather than inside. A comprehensive and detailed list of measures, including approaches to multi-generational households, can be implemented, and is well within the scope and capability of public health professionals.

Those who are not vulnerable should immediately be allowed to resume life as normal. Simple hygiene measures, such as hand washing and staying home when sick should be practiced by everyone to reduce the herd immunity threshold.

Schools and universities should be open for in-person teaching. Extracurricular activities, such as sports, should be resumed. Young low-risk adults should work normally, rather than from home. Restaurants and other businesses should open. Arts, music, sport and other cultural activities should resume. People who are more at risk may participate if they wish, while society as a whole enjoys the protection conferred upon the vulnerable by those who have built up herd immunity.

PPC candidate tells “egotistical” Derek Sloan to leave Alberta

An Alberta People’s Party of Canada candidate is telling Derek Sloan to go home to Ontario as he announces his independent campaign.

“Derek Sloan is an opportunistic Ottawa politician that sees Albertans as nothing more than a ticket, an opportunity for him to advance his own career,” Banff—Airdrie PPC candidate Nadine Wellwood said Thursday.

Wellwood’s statement was released in response to Sloan’s announcement of his decision to run as an independent in the Sept. 20 federal election. Wellwood accused the MP for Hastings—Lennox and Addington of leaving Ontario and coming to her riding of Banff—Airdrie to “steal” a seat from an Albertan.

Sloan is campaigning under the “make Alberta great again” slogan, but Wellwood says, “Albertans do not want or need another Ottawa politician to ‘save us.’ Albertans want and deserve an actual Albertan to be their voice, their representative in Ottawa.”

Before deciding to run as an independent, Sloan stated he was forming his own federal party in July. At the time, PPC Spokesperson Martin Masse told True North he didn’t think it was necessary for Sloan to run on his own since he seems to agree with most of the PPC platform. PPC leader Maxime Bernier even made several overtures to Sloan to join the PPC and was disappointed that he declined.

“If Derek Sloan wanted to help Alberta, he would have thrown his support behind an Alberta candidate and shown some real leadership,” said Wellwood. “Instead, he has chosen to be selfish and in doing so displayed his own weakness as a leader.”

The Banff—Airdrie riding is currently held by Conservative whip Blake Richards, who is seeking his fifth term. At a campaign event in Cochrane on Thursday, Sloan briefly discussed his decision not to join the PPC or Western separatist Maverick Party:

“God bless both of those parties. But let us have this slice of the pie because we’ve done our homework,” Sloan said. “It’s going to be Blake or me. The NDP or Liberals cannot win. There’s no way. There’s no way.”

Sloan is right about one thing — “there’s no way” the Liberals will win. Blake won 71% of the vote in 2019, with the Liberal runner-up candidate receiving a mere 10.8% of the vote. The Conservatives are projected to gain 52.8% of the vote in this election with the Liberals projected to garner 13.8%.

Although Sloan’s campaign events have drawn plenty of supporters, it seems very optimistic for Sloan to assume that as a newcomer to Alberta, he would instantly out-perform the Maverick, PPC and Liberals and go head-to-head with Blake.

Sloan rose to prominence during the 2020 Conservative Party of Canada leadership race. In January 2021, the Conservative caucus voted to remove him, citing a “pattern of destructive behaviour.”

Conservative leader Erin O’Toole said he would not permit Sloan to run again after it was revealed that Sloan’s leadership campaign received a $131 donation from notorious Canadian white supremacist Paul Fromm.

Sloan has a difficult task ahead of him. Since 1974, only five independent MPs have been re-elected after exiting our being ousted from party caucuses.

True North reached out to Sloan for comment but did not hear back by the time this article was published.

“Derek Sloan should return to Ontario and leave Albertans to defend Alberta,” Wellwood said.

FACT CHECK: Legacy media largely ignored Trudeau’s “monetary policy” gaffe

Liberal Party Leader Justin Trudeau’s comment stating that he doesn’t spend much time thinking about money policy went largely ignored by Canadian legacy media outlets.

As reported on Wednesday, Trudeau shrugged off a question about rising inflation rates by giving a nonsensical answer that avoided answering the question directly.

“Do you have a position on the mandate? Would you support a slightly higher tolerance for inflation?” inquired a reporter at a campaign stop in BC.

“I don’t know. When I think about the biggest, most important economic policy this government, if re-elected, would move forward. You’ll forgive me if I don’t think about monetary policy,” said Trudeau.

“You will understand that I think about families and when we first got elected in 2015 the very first thing we did was raise taxes on the wealthiest 1% so we could lower them for the middle class. Similarly, a re-elected Liberal government will continue to invest in supports for families, for students, for seniors…”

Although Trudeau’s comments were picked up by independent outlets like True North, legacy media outlets including CBC News, the Toronto Star and CTV News largely ignored the gaffe.

In a report on rising inflation rates, CBC News omitted any mention of Trudeau’s comments which took place on the same day.

“Speaking to reporters in Vancouver, Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau defended his government’s handling of the economy during the pandemic,” wrote CBC News before quoting a more coherent statement given by Trudeau.

In comparison, the Conservative Party’s latest campaign advertisement featuring an edited clip of the popular classic film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory was ridiculed widely by Canadian legacy media outlets.

The advertisement was covered by Global News, CP24, the Toronto Star and others soon after it was removed from Twitter.

Beyond that, some of the only legacy media outlets to highlight Trudeau’s gaffe was BNN Bloomberg and the Toronto Sun.

“I think he should take it back. Neither Trudeau I nor Trudeau II have been terribly interested in monetary policy, very unfortunately. In any event, he’s wrong. The new government has a very important set of decisions to make coming up on monetary policy and in terms of the renewal of the agreement with the Bank of Canada,” former Bank of Canada governor David Doge told BNN Bloomberg.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (LifeSiteNews) – Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has doubled down on his aggressive mandate requiring COVID-19 vaccines for domestic travel, saying unvaccinated Canadians will not board a plane or boat unless they have a medical exemption.

“Canadians know that the way to get through this pandemic is for everyone to get vaccinated. So unless people have a medical exception, they will not be able to board a plane or a train in Canada if they are unvaccinated,” said Trudeau Wednesday while at an election rally in Vancouver, British Columbia.

“We are absolutely unequivocal on that because this is how we get through this pandemic.”

Trudeau made similar remarks in Calgary, Alberta Thursday.

“If you don’t want to get vaccinated, that’s your choice, but don’t think you can get on a plane, or a train besides vaccinated people and put them at risk,” said Trudeau while at an election rally in Calgary.

Trudeau’s remarks on Wednesday and Thursday came shortly after he said there would be “consequences” for federally employed public servants who choose to not get COVID-19 jabs.

“We’re unequivocal that civil servants must be vaccinated,” Trudeau told reporters while speaking in Markham, Ontario on Tuesday.

Trudeau’s remarks come a week after Canada’s Transport Minister Omar Alghabra announced on August 13 that COVID-19 jabs will be mandated for all domestic travellers by air, boat, or rail come the fall.

Alghabra also said the government of Canada will require employees in the federally regulated “air, rail and marine transportation sectors” as well as all civil servants to be vaccinated by October.

The COVID-19 jab mandate was made only days before Trudeau called a federal election. Canadians go to the polls on September 20 of this year.

Only days into the election, the COVID-19 jab mandate for domestic travel has quickly turned into a hot-button issue.

Canada’s 48-year-old Leader of the Opposition and Conservative Party of Canada (CPC) head Erin O’Toole backs mandating vaccination for domestic travelers by air, rail, or sea. O’Toole did say if elected he would allow the “unvaccinated” to submit to rapid tests instead.

Pro-life Independent MP Derek Sloan has blasted Trudeau’s politicization of COVID-19 jabs, saying they are an election ploy and “a reprehensible and criminal act.”

Constitutional groups have come out against Trudeau’s travel and work COVID-19 jab mandate.

“This is what a totalitarian society looks like, restriction of information (Bill C-36 for example), restrictions on the right to travel and cross regional boundaries, and segregation and persecution of dissenters,” Interim President and lawyer for the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms (JCCF) Lisa Bildy told LifeSiteNews.

The Canadian Constitution Foundation (CCF) says that vaccine passports and COVID-19 jab mandates “crosses a bright line.”

“Canadians should not have to demonstrate their vaccination status to travel to see their family members. The policy is unjustified in light of Canada’s rates of vaccination, one of the highest in the world. It creates the absurdity that Canadians will be subject to more stringent requirements to travel from Calgary to Vancouver than from Toronto to Paris,” says the CCF.

Health Canada has authorized four COVID-19 injections for adults, all with connections to cells derived from aborted babies. All four have also been associated with severe side effects such as blood clots, rashes, miscarriages, and even heart attacks in young healthy men.

For kids aged 12 and up, only the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is allowed to be given.

Pfizer recently added a warning to its COVID-19 vaccine fact sheet concerning myocarditis and pericarditis.

Internal emails show that staffers in the Trudeau government wanted to bury the fact that Canada was receiving sub-par personal protective equipment donations from China and elsewhere.

According to Blacklock’s Reporter, the messages were in response to inquiries by Liberal MP Han Dong who was wondering why Canada wasn’t singing China’s praises for the donation.

“Han Dong is looking for background on what they donated and why we aren’t touting their donation. To be fair, we aren’t touting any donations,” wrote a staffer.

Staffers also voice concerns about the negative attention the European Union received for accepting mask donations from Huawei, the China-linked company at the centre of the global 5G debate.

“The European Union was asked about Huawei’s personal protective equipment donations to Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Poland, Greece and Switzerland and whether they constitute ‘mask diplomacy.’ Their response was simply ‘that’s now how things work.’ Just FYI as we may soon get asked to confirm whether Canada is also in receipt of donations from Huawei,” one email claimed.

Huawei was not the only company that gave Canada health equipment donations, Home Depot and Suncor also donated a substantial amount of masks.

“Appreciate if we can avoid referring to the quality or grade of masks to the extent possible, but given that it’s a donation I suppose we can’t redirect them to where they are sorely needed (hospitals),” said Travis Gordon a senior policy adviser to the Liberal health minister.

“We will try to avoid this spinning into a story about how some vets in some long term care homes will get N95s while doctors in hospitals are limited to one per day.”

Other cabinet staff said that they wanted to avoid “unnecessary controversy” that the donations might cause. One also stated that they worried “about the optics” or that “it might be awkward” to deal with.

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the federal government ran into several issues with faulty and shoddy personal protective equipment from China. In May, Health Canada issued a distribution warning for KN95 masks produced in China which they noted “pose a health and safety risk to end users.”

A month prior to the warning, the Liberal government revealed that one million masks purchased from China were found to be largely unusable and faulty.

The Conservatives will introduce “the toughest accountability and transparency laws in Canadian history” if they’re elected on September 20th.

Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole unveiled the party’s Anti-Corruption Act on Wednesday, saying the act is designed to tackle ethics, lobbying and transparency.

“Canada’s Conservatives will pass the Anti-Corruption Act to secure accountability for ethical misconduct, including by the Prime Minister,” said O’Toole.

The Conservatives will strengthen the Conflict of Interest Act by “increasing the monetary penalties in the Conflict of Interest Act from a maximum of $500 to a maximum of $50,000.” The fine will consider the severity of the offence as well as the history and net worth of the offender.

“Justin Trudeau and Bill Morneau both violated Canada’s ethics laws several times but received no penalty or one that was too far low to deter unethical behaviour,” said O’Toole.

“Canada’s Recovery Plan will punish ethical violations by politicians and clean up the mess in Ottawa,” said O’Toole.

The Code of Conduct for MPs will also be amended, as elected officials will not be able to collect speaking fees.

Under the Conservative plan, organizations such as corporations will now have to register and report their meetings while lobbying. The Conservatives also intend to ban lobbying only on a matter that is the subject of a criminal proceeding.

These changes are in response to the many scandals by the Liberal government such as the Aga Khan Affair, SNC Lavalin and WE Charity scandal.

This is not the first time the Conservative Party has entered an election offering the Canadian public more accountability and transparency. In 2006 the Harper government put forth the Federal Accountability Act in response to the Liberals then Sponsorship scandal of 2006.

BC inquiry into “rise of hate” during pandemic will cost over $200,000

BC’s Office of the Human Rights Commissioner (BCOHRC) is launching a public inquiry into the “rise of hate during the pandemic” that will cost taxpayers over $200,000.

According to the BCOHRC, the public inquiry will span two fiscal years, with approximately $200,000 allocated for the first year. No cost estimate was provided for the second year, and costs could rise when pandemic measures lift and in-person consultations can occur.

The BCOHRC website notes “A public inquiry is an official review of major events or issues to establish facts and make recommendations for change… An inquiry is not a court of law and cannot make legal findings of guilt or liability or compel governments to accept inquiry recommendations.”

The public inquiry is being launched based on the assertion that “white supremacy” and “hate” have been significantly on the rise in BC since early 2020.

According to the Vancouver Police Department, hate crime incidents increased 97% from 142 incidents in 2019 to 280 in 2020. They note that in 2019 there were 12 reported anti-Asian hate crime incidents and in 2020 there were 98.

The BCHRO is also relying on data from a report released by the Chinese Canadian National Council, Toronto Chapter. According to the report, 1150 anti-Asian hate incidents occurred across Canada between March 10, 2020 and February 28, 2021, and 506 of those incidents occurred in BC.

Among the hate incidents included in the report are a situation where an Asian woman’s colleague asked her if she was eating a bat, and an encounter where two panhandlers asked an Asian man for money and then lunged at him and told him Chinese people brought over COVID-19 when he didn’t give them any cash.

Late last year, the BCHRO ran a $70,000 “Am I racist?” bus stop ad campaign that featured phrases such as “If I say I don’t see skin colour, am I racist?” and “If I want to forget our province’s history, am I racist?”

The Office has an annual approved operating budget of $5.5 million, with Human Rights Commissioner Kasari Govender receiving a $300,000 salary.

Conservative MP runs away from questions

This time, I attended a Conservative Party event as part of their election campaign in Quebec. The conference was held at the convention centre. It was made clear to me that I was not welcome, and that Rebel News was always disturbing their events — even though the man I spoke to had never met me.

I then continued on my way to the National Assembly, where I was stopped by the police. An officer asked me to leave the public road because he had secured the area. I tried to find out what the demarcations of this virtual security area were, and they were never able to answer me, but told me that I was not accredited as media.

I even managed to surprise Mr. Gérard Deltell, Conservative MP for Louis-Saint-Laurent. He was at first accepting of my questions, but when he saw that I was with Rebel News, he ran away from me, becoming arrogant.

I then showed up to an event for Erin O’Toole supporters and waited patiently during the photoshoot to ask the party leader two questions. He answered my questions and no problem arose. So why treat Rebel News like the plague? Did I cause any problems that day? I do not believe so.

Digital IDs Wll Make World a High-Tech Prison

Many countries and jurisdictions around the world are in the process of implementing vaccine passports, but these passports are unlikely to be around for long due to the ethical and legal issues surrounding them.

Not only is it a violation of the Nuremberg Code to force or coerce medical treatment without informed consent, but the persecution and segregation resulting from the vaccine passports is a violation of the Statute of Rome of the International Criminal Court, in addition to breaching numerous other human rights laws around the world.

In short, it can't last, and courts are already ruling against vaccine passports: The Supreme Court knocks down covid passport to enter bars, restaurants and nightclubs in Andalucia.

Vaccine passports won't last but they pave the way for digital IDs, which the bankers and their globalist lackeys have been planning for years. This has the potential to rob us of our rights just as covid lockdowns have done.

In 2005, current British PM Boris Johnson said that digital IDs are "recipes not just for waste but recipes for tyranny and oppression as well", and in 2004 that "There is the loss of liberty, and the creepy reality that the state will use these cards doubtless with the best possible intentions to store all manner of detail about us, our habits, what benefits we may claim, and so on." A rather odd stance for someone who would go on to implement vaccine passports.

An 2018 article on the Canadian Bankers Association site (White Paper: Canada's Digital ID Future - A Federated Approach) argues that "Canada needs a digital identity system" which will include "biometrics such as fingerprints or facial recognition."

Jamaica, where the vast majority of people are refusing covid vaccines, already has a plan for a digital/biometric ID, including retina scans and fingerprints, which will be required to access government services and to deal with various businesses such as banks - this is not a plan for the distant future, it is here already: National Identification System (NIDS) - Office of the Prime Minister (opm.gov.jm)

For now digital IDs will be in smartphones and computers, but how long until it becomes a microchip implanted in people's bodies?

All it will take is some major fraud or a terrorist attack and the ID will have to be under your skin to prevent identify theft.

Just imagine the 9/11 hijackers had used stolen smartphones with digital ID to board the planes, then look at all the security measures put into place after 9/11 and now how quickly millions of people submitted their bodies to a society-wide drug trial.

Klaus Schwab and his globalist stooges have warned us that "there is no going back to normal".

If we sit back and allow digital ID to become a reality, life will become even more restricted and controlled than it has been during the scamdemic.

No Mask No Vote: Canadian Officials Threaten to Turn Away Unmasked Voters

Elections Canada has threatened to turn away voters who show up in person to vote without a mask ahead of a national election on September 20th.

The Canadian elections agency held a press conference stating that those who had no medical exemption in areas that required a mask to be worn indoors would be turned away from polling stations and not allowed to cast their vote.

Chief electoral officer Stephane Perrault told Canadian media, according to the Toronto Star: “If you have a medical reason not to wear a mask then you will not be denied the right to vote.”

However, she went on to add that “if it’s just a matter of personal choice and the mask is mandatory in the jurisdiction in which you are voting, then we will apply those rules.”

Perrault recommended that anyone who did not wish to wear a mask while voting should vote by mail instead, with Canada expecting as many as five million people to cast their ballot by mail this year — compared to just 50,000 in 2019.

While Elections Canada also notes that ID is required to vote, it is not clear whether citizens will be asked to remove their masks at polling stations to allow officials to verify their identities.

Elections Canada has also stated that it does not expect the result of the federal election to be finalised until days after September 20th due to the need to count a large number of projected mail-in ballots.

According to Elections Canada, those requesting mail-in ballots must do so before September 14th and submit them before the polls close in their individual area, saying ballots received after the deadline will not be counted.

Unlike in-person ballots, Canadian mail-in ballots do not bear a list of candidates and require electors to manually write in the name of the person for whom they are voting.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced the snap federal election on Sunday, reportedly feeling that he needed a majority in the country’s House of Commons to implement new coronavirus restrictions.

Shortly before the election announcement, the Trudeau government declared that it would require all federal employees to be fully vaccinated.

All air travellers and those taking trains to different provinces must also take the vaccine.

Unless a person can prove a medical exemption for inoculation, they will be forbidden from travelling by those means.

Great Reset: World Economic Forum Says Lasers Will Track People ‘By Heartbeat’

The Davos-based World Economic Forum (WEF) has predicted that countries will begin tracking people by their heartbeats as wearing masks during the Chinese coronavirus pandemic has made facial surveillance more difficult.

In a video posted on social media on Wednesday, the globalist ‘Great Reset’ group said that the pandemic could see the governments track people based on their heartbeat.

“Facial recognition systems are often stumped by face masks but your heartbeat is just as unique as your face,” the World Economic Forum said.

The WEF went on to say that the American space agency NASA has developed “a system that can ID you from your heartbeat using a laser”.

According to a 2019 article from the MIT Technology Review, the Pentagon has developed a “Jetson prototype” of a machine that can detect the “unique cardiac signature from 200 meters away, even through clothes.”

The NASA-developed ‘Heartbeat ID‘ claims to be a “new biometric technique to verify someone’s identity. It can be used in everything from replacing an individuals PC passwords to access a bank account.”

The Klaus Schwab-run organisation went on to predict that instead of commuting to work, people will gather in communal “neighbourhood hubs” equipped with gyms, bars, and art galleries that would be “no more than a fifteen-minute walk from home”.

“Ghost Kitchens” will supply people with their restaurant fix, delivered to your homes, rather than eating out, the World Economic Forum continued.

“What pandemic-era changes would you like to see become permanent?” the group asked its followers.

Responding to the WEF, author Laura Dodsworth said: “This is how our lives could look if technocratic ‘utopianists’ (dystopianists) decide what’s best for us. Why would I want to be recognised by my heartbeat? Why would I want my body surveilled by a laser?”

The co-founder of Mozilla Firefox, Brendan Eich added: “Never let a good crisis go to waste. The cheery muzak lulls you into staying within 15-minute walks of your pod and eating the ghost-kitchen prepared bugs. I don’t want to be ID’ed by my heartbeat just to ease the task for Big Brother’s AI flummoxed by the forever-mask it mandated!”

Earlier this month, Breitbart London reported on a separate video produced by the WEF, which predicted that scientists will begin to edit genomes in order to “write a new code for life” and “redesign organisms for beneficial purposes,” citing the mRNA coronavirus vaccines as an example of the innovation.

The video continued by proclaiming that the “age of human robots” is over and that technology will begin replacing what the WEF views as menial labour.

The Davos-based group has been at the forefront of the idea of a “Great Reset”, with its founder and executive chairman, Klaus Schwab, declaring last year that the Chinese virus would give world leaders an opportunity to introduce a “Great Reset of capitalism“.

Shwab argued that the “world must act jointly and swiftly to revamp all aspects of our societies and economies.”

In a virtual Davos Agenda summit of world leaders in January, French President Macron agreed with the assessments of Mr Shwab, saying that the coronavirus pandemic has shown that capitalism “can no longer work” in its current construction.
