While this is a fair comment, by first establishing a verified open source image of what might turn out to be one of the nodes in the pcap, you automatically preemptively shut down the strongest and only argument against the pcap, proving that what you claim the source to be, actually is. Anyway, weren't they originally doing the pcaps at the end?
