Optics and misdirection. If Germany had won then the various resistance groups would've continued to fight the regime.
This would've made it much more difficult (and obvious) to impose the NWO regime.
When US was seen to win those resistance groups fizzled out.
This made it easier to bring in the changes that they desired, UN, EU, etc.
