Tonight is the 75th anniversary of the Dambusters raid by 617 Squadron. A fantastic engineering achievement and a huge sacrifice at the same time. Wing Commander Guy Gibson thought that the mission would either be successful, or the entire squadron would get wiped out. We owe a debt of gratitude to these selfless and brave pilots who gave their today for our tomorrow.
