you might be too young to remember, but there was a war in syria that started about 13-15 years ago. It was between Bashar, "moderate rebels", and what would eventually become known as ISIS.
Obama said he was training and equipping the "moderate rebels". Eventually though all those who were trained joined ISIS and took their equipment with them.
If you equip hostile enemies in foreign territory, you have endless foreign wars, which means you can bleed american tax payers to fund the military industrial complex.
