vaguely member something about this, and when I got my title, thinking that it was allodial, something to do with how the deed is titled and in all capital or not regardless, the tax man sends me a property tax bill every year and I have always paid it
maybe I will dig it out and look into it more but like another anon said, no matter what you think or say the piece of paper you have in your hand means, if you go against the grain, you'll be fighting it out with the sheriff or a shit ton of lawyers and fees
