I've been rewatching "Turn- Washington's Spies" and looking into the Culper Spy Ring that was so instrumental to the Revolutionary War.

Here's an interesting tidbit…

Major Benjamin Tallmadge was head of Washington's Intelligence network and recruited the members of the Culper Ring.

All of them had code names…

Tallmadge went by the code nameJohn Bolton, while Woodhull went by the name of Samuel Culper.
