Are there any good theories on the boots? Yeah, sure, they're probably monitoring devices but they only last a week or two.
The only thing that makes sense to me is that the monitoring device is there when they're doing their confessionals. Once the confessional is done, tracker comes off, and they can do whatever they want because they're dead men walking at that point. Doesn't matter if they suicide, arkancide, or wait after that. I don't know. Wishful thinking probably.
