But he didn't do anything.. I would agree, but if you don't make it happen.. forget about it.. Ron Paul was also treated like shit and completely subverted.. but he was too quiet, too polite.. There are certain kinds of honor that don't belong on the battlefield, once you're there.

And I don't mean he didn't do anything, that was dumb.. obviously he not only produced but also inspired many of us.. he was my first glimmer of hope in politics as a young man.. A truly centered individual who was willing to make progress while maintaining a firm grip on reality…

But Trump is a fucking warrior.

Devaluing the dollar is not a viable strategy to combat a price increase due to artificial scarcity.

We can produce our own gas.. We don't to re-assign the value of an idiot flipping burgers to $25/hour. That's some clown-world economics you're preaching there..

… but no one should be forced to take nor exploited into taking the vaccine. I see where you're going with your frustration, but we shouldn't be celebrating, supporting or asking for any vaccine mandates, period.

Rather than going directly to the issue of macro-economic impact of rapidly increasing minimum wage, you're still looking for loopholes or work-arounds..

So everyone makes $16/hr and reduces to 35/hrs a week happily while minimum wage is $25/hr?.. prices go up.. employers resist offering full time positions?

Clown-world economics.

No, there are idiots and not-very-productives.. it's just the truth.. best to come to terms with it.. I was once among them for longer than I needed to be.. if you find yourself among them, you can probably do better if you want to… We can gradually increase minimum wage and assist these people with our compassion.. but there's no way of truly increasing their value.. to attempt such decreases the value of the currency by which their time is valued.

Alright, sorry to waste your time (was it about $17 worth?).. I never claimed to know how many etc.. I just said many.. and "the burger flipper" is an archetype of marketable skills.. referenced often in the study of the American labor market…

Don't expect others to make you worth more, you have to make yourself worth more..

Were I attempting to lead.. I'm not here to cheer on minimum earners.. I'm discussing economics.

It's always the same.. Conservatives bear the duty of defending the freedoms which liberals cherish and don't realize they are forfeiting.. Similarly, I am arguing against a sudden & rash increase in the minimum wage, as it WILL HURT THE LOWEST INCOME HOUSEHOLDS THE MOST!!!

But sure, coddle those with low incomes.. Tell them they're very very very appreciated and deserve more than God's green earth and the opportunity that America has to offer.

>never done an honest day's work

Not sure where you're getting that from.. Not only have I flipped burgers, I've made tacos in a truck, sat in a chair at the pool, put up drywall in probably about 200 houses while simultaneously earning a degree that it turns out I really didn't need to now grind about 10 hours a day at a screen making decent money.. It's not easy anon. I had to do it because I've got 3 kids.

>Many people flip burgers full-time

I just said many.

Bottom line:

Increasing minimum wage causes the cheapest every day items to increase in price first.. higher incomes, higher priced homes, luxuries, etc increase slower.. The result generally makes the poor poorer.

I have about $4,000 in the bank and much more than that in debt.. I work about 45-50hrs a week..

I'm telling you.. I'm arguing against minimum wage, in the interest of the lower and middle class

I honestly didn't realize how many people here were in favor of hiking minimum wage, that's traditionally a globalist/democrat/liberal agenda..

Be wary folks, you've got me wrong.. maybe when it comes up again, listen to the voices who oppose it and hear out their reasoning… it's a short term boost for low earners, long term it shifts income towards the elite.. inflation is bad for the lower and middle class… the elites can handle infinite inflation because they have a lot more real assets (ie not cash or low-value & rapidly depreciating assets)

That needs to be addressed by finding other opportunity and not getting sucked into those low paying positions.. if they can find someone else, why pay you more.. You could do better.

To some extent I agree, but the elites want increased minimum wage.. .FUCKING HELLO!! They're the ones pushing it.

$ is measured by numbers.. if you play with those numbers, things get more confusing.. when those numbers are stable, the whole system is stable.. who benefits the most from confusing instability.. People who don't understand economics? or elites….
