Shake the jug every time you get a glass/cup. I give it a good 4-5 up/downs each time before and after pouring. Never had spoilage issues. Whole milk is notorious for this. 1% not so much. Probably wouldn't hurt to get off milk in general. There are healthier alternatives; baking being an exception.
