J&J REQUIRES THE JAB
Looks like I'll be getting fired, anons, as I work for one of their subsidiaries:
------------------------
Dear Colleagues,
For 135 years, Johnson & Johnson has worked tirelessly to deliver lifesaving products and solutions to patients, doctors, nurses, the communities in which we live and work, and the world. To continue to achieve this, the health and safety of our workforce must always remain a top priority.
In meeting Our Credo responsibilities—and based on the latest research—we are taking a new step to ensure your safety during this unprecedented time:
Effective Monday, October 4, employees and on-site contractors of Johnson & Johnson in the United States will be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.Manufacturing and distribution employees and on-site contractors will have an extended timeline, which will be communicated in the future.
This decision is guided by Our Credo values, as we continue to follow the science to ensure we are supporting your health and well-being by taking appropriate measures to create a safe working environment for every Johnson & Johnson employee and on-site contractor.
We believe in science and trust in the processes of bringing life-saving medicines and vaccines to market—and the science proves that getting vaccinated is the most important step in protecting ourselves and our communities.
Since the pandemic began, our superheroes have been onsite helping deliver against Our Credo commitments and this summer we began welcoming office-based employees back to the workplace. As previously communicated, on September 7 we will launch J&J Flex and transition to our new hybrid way of working. With the launch of J&J Flex, all office-based employees should plan to work at least 3 days on-site (or every day) and up to 2 days remote per week, one being Friday.
Senior leaders are now present at our sites and all people leaders will be coordinating schedules for their teams to optimize face-to-face time for collaboration, innovation, and teamwork.
The October 4th date provides seven weeks’ notice of this new requirement so that if you need to get vaccinated you can plan accordingly. As a reminder, you are considered fully vaccinated 14 days after the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, 14 days after the second dose of the Moderna vaccine (approximately 6 weeks after the first dose) and 14 days after the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine (approximately 5 weeks after the first dose). As with any company policy, implementation across jurisdictions will be subject to legal requirements, consultation with unions and other considerations.
We will be sending follow-up information on the process for collecting documentation of vaccination and starting in September we will be implementing regular testing for COVID-19 for those who have not provided documentation. Individuals seeking an accommodation to the vaccine for medical or other reasons should contact AskGS. All associates entering a Johnson & Johnson site must continue to adhere to previously communicated safety policies, including the current mask policy.
Johnson & Johnson is a leader in global public health, and by requiring a vaccine, we are protecting our workforce and those communities in which we live and work and to maintain continuity of production of our products. Under the best of circumstances, changing the trajectory of health for humanity is a bold ambition and a challenge. To continue to do that, today we must first change the trajectory of COVID-19.
Together, we will keep fighting this pandemic, as we have from the start, by continuing our crucial, lifesaving work the way we always have—and the way we always will. That fight requires every single one of us doing one of the most caring things one can do for ourselves and those around us—getting vaccinated against this deadly disease.
Thank you all for your resilience as we navigate a shifting and challenging external environment, all while fulfilling our commitments to patients and consumers around the world. More information will be communicated soon, but if you have any questions in the meantime, please speak to your manager or review these Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and visit J&J Responds for the latest resources.
Sincerely,
The Executive Committee of Johnson & Johnson
