A Senior Biden Staffer Wrote An Afghanistan Policy Paper Which Was Sponsored By a Top Chinese Communist Influence Group.
The Center for American Progress – a leading left-wing think-tank influential in the Biden White House – partnered with a Chinese Communist Party influence group on reports guiding American policy in the Middle East.
Often highlighted as for being “closely aligned” with the White House during the Obama years, the Center for American Progress (CAP) carries similar influence under Biden, counting several former employees and fellows as officials in Joe Biden’s White House.
The think tank’s Chinese Communist Party-sponsored paper from July 2015 is entitled “Exploring Avenues for China-U.S. Cooperation on the Middle East”. One of the paper’s authors is now Biden’s China Policy Coordinator for the Office of the Undersecretary of State for Economic Growth, Melanie Hart.
The National Pulse has previously highlighted how CAP staff – including Hart – have taken trips and authored research reports subsidized by the China-United States Exchange Foundation (CUSEF).
Similarly, the CAP-CUSEF collaboration on Middle East policy included both video and in-person exchanges in Beijing. As the CAP website notes:
For more than 12 months, scholars at these institutions conducted an exchange of both ideas and papers. The exchange included several videoconferences between Washington, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Beijing; papers reflecting the views of each side; and a joint exchange in Beijing in April 2015.
CUSEF was founded by the Vice-Chairman of the “highest-ranking entity overseeing” China’s United Front, which the U.S.-China Security and Economic Review Commission identifies as seeking to “to co-opt and neutralize sources of potential opposition to the policies and authority of its ruling Chinese Communist Party” and “influence foreign governments to take actions or adopt positions supportive of Beijing.” The multi-billion-dollar effort is also closely tied to and controlled by the country’s People’s Liberation Army.

Mining rights in Afghanistan
Building a major highway in the Wakhan Corridor for trade purposes
The commies are also in bed with Pakistan, even going so far as to share top-secret information with them. Not to mention there are a bunch of Chinese economic investments in Pakistan. China’s influence in the region grows while Joe Biden gets lost in his own yard.
The China-Pakistan intel swap also gives China a strategic edge in its ongoing bicker-fest with India over some contested real estate. A China-Pakistan love fest could spell major trouble for India. India and China have already thrown punches at each other over the disputed land in the middle of nowhere.

The same China that has funneled tens of millions of dollars to Hunter Biden since 2009, and really kicked things into high gear in 2015 when Gropey Joe was vice president. Coincidence? You decide! Russian Ambassador Intends to Drive Through Kabul With Taliban to Make Sure City is Safe
Russian Ambassador to Afghanistan Dmitry Zhirnov said he intended to travel with representatives of the Taliban movement* through Kabul to make sure that the city is safe.
"I want to take a drive around the city with the Taliban and just see with my own eyes and make sure … is it really calm," Zhirnov said on the air of the Ekho Moskvy broadcaster.
Taliban representatives said that it would be possible to choose "any route," he added.
Zhirnov also said that Talibs immediately guaranteed amnesty to all the security forces, all servicemen. "No witch hunt, no purges," the ambassador added.
He added that the Taliban also ensured that "not a single hair" would fall from the head of Russian diplomats.
"Tomorrow I will have a meeting with high-ranking Taliban officials, who coordinate security issues in the city, and not only in the city. I will work out with the all the security issues of the embassy in detail, according to the list, and so that the staff here work and live well. Plus, in addition to the embassy, we also have the Russian Center for Science and Culture, it also needs to be protected and guarded," the ambassador said on the air of Ekho Moskvy broadcaster.
The Taliban are guarding the Russian embassy in Kabul with armored vehicles and machine guns, Zhirnov said.
"A brigade empowered by high-ranking officials, it came to us today, led by their senior. He confirmed all the directives to ensure the safety of the diplomatic mission. They are standing around the clock, there is an armored vehicle with machine guns, everything is fine," he said.

Ashraf Ghani Fled Kabul With Cash-Filled Cars: Russian Embassy
On Sunday, Ashraf Ghani ostensibly fled Kabul for Tajikistan after Taliban* militants entered the Afghan capital without a fight.
Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, who stepped down to prevent further violence in his country, was fleeing Kabul escorted with cars filled with cash, a Russian Embassy spokesman told Sputnik on Monday. Ghani reportedly left Kabul for Tajikistan, but his current location and status remain unknown.
"As for the collapse of the regime, it is most eloquently characterised by the way Ghani fled from Afghanistan: four cars were full of money, they tried to put part of the money into a helicopter, but everything did not fit. And some of the money was left on the runway", Russian diplomatic mission spokesperson Nikita Ishenko said.
He spoke after Russia's special presidential representative for Afghanistan Zamir Kabulov told reporters that the seizure of Kabul was unexpected, and that Russia and other countries had overrated the Afghan Armed Forces.
"It came as a surprise to a certain extent, as we were guided by the understanding that the Afghan Army, whatever it may be, will still resist for some time", Kabulov pointed out.
The diplomat stressed that Moscow will not make any hasty decisions concerning recognition of the new Afghan government, adding that the removal of the Taliban from the list of terrorist organisations is out of the question at this stage.
According to Kabulov, it is up to the United Nations Security Council to initiate the relevant procedure.
The Taliban entered Kabul without a fight on Sunday, with Ashraf Ghani fleeing the country shortly thereafter and explaining that he did so in order to avoid bloodshed.
According to Ghani, the militant group may have won the "trial of sword and guns", but is yet to win the hearts of the Afghan people.
"Never in history has raw power given legitimacy to anyone and never will. [The Taliban] are now facing a new historic test: either they will protect the name and honour of Afghanistan or they will prioritise other places and networks", Ghani argued in a post published on his Facebook page.

Government under pressure to reveal Afghan refugee plan
The government says it has capacity to remove at least 1,000 people a day from Afghanistan and is promising new plans.
Asked how many refugees the UK would take from Afghanistan, Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab wouldn't give a figure, but said "we are obviously a big-hearted nation" and added that the government was "working very carefully on what kind of further commitment we might make".

Pfizer Submits Phase 1 Data From 'Booster Jab' Trial To FDA
Eager to cash in on the promise of a lucrative market for booster doses of its popular COVID vaccine, Pfizer and BioNTech on Monday submitted their Phase 1 study data to the CDC and FDA.
The data show that people who received a third dose of their mRNA vaccine exhibited "a favorable safety profile and robust immune responses."
Of course, as we learned the first time around, the vaccines can have rare but harmful side effects. They've already been conclusively tied to both mRNA and adenovirus vector vaccines.
And let's not forget what Dr. Robert Malone, who performed pioneering scientific research into the development of mRNA technology, told us about antibody dependent enhancement, and the real reason why herd immunity is no longer possible.
As we have explained previously, ADE is the possibility that 'imperfect' vaccines might actually help foster more virulent COVID variants due to a phenomenon called 'ADE' - antibody-dependent enhancement. Essentially, what doesn't kill the virus makes it stronger. In retaliation for sharing these views, Dr. Malone was ridiculed by colleagues as a conspiracist and an "anti-vaxxer".
Pfizer has already released data showing its vaccine can produce 5x the amount of antibodies that target the delta variant. But in practice, Israel is already seeing patients who have received a third dose become infected.
And the data Pfizer's about to share with the FDA also show that a third dose boosts the body's ability to fight off the delta variant (though this round of data is supposed to focus on safety, not efficacy).
The data also will be submitted to the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and other regulatory authorities in the coming weeks.
Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla said in a quote that vaccination is society's best chance at fighting COVID.
"Vaccination is our most effective means of preventing COVID-19 infection – especially severe disease and hospitalization – and its profound impact on protecting lives is indisputable. Still, with the continuing threat of the Delta variant and possible emergence of other variants in the future, we must remain vigilant against this highly contagious virus," said Albert Bourla, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Pfizer. "The data we’ve seen to date suggest a third dose of our vaccine elicits antibody levels that significantly exceed those seen after the two-dose primary schedule. We are pleased to submit these data to the FDA as we continue working together to address the evolving challenges of this pandemic."
All of the participants in the third dose Phase 1 trial received the third jab months after receiving their second.
Pfizer said in its press release that it expects to share its Phase 3 data with the federal government shortly.
And as far as their shareholders are concerned, the sooner, the better.

Adelaide man, 49, jailed for online child abuse offences

An Adelaide man who had videos and images of young children being sexually abused stored on his phone and sought young girls overseas for sexual activity has been sentenced today (16 August 2021) to three years and four months jail.
The 49-year-old man had earlier pleaded guilty to three charges - using a carriage service to access child abuse material, possessing child abuse material and using a carriage service to menace, harass or cause offence.
The South Australia Joint Anti Child Exploitation Team – comprising Australian Federal Police and South Australia Police officers - arrested and charged the man on 7 December 2020 after an investigation sparked by a report from the United States’ National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children.
NCMEC forwarded a complaint about a Kik Messenger user uploading child abuse material and AFP officers identified the user as the 49-year-old.
When SA JACET officers searched the man’s home, they found messages stored on electronic devices in relation to sourcing children in Thailand for sexual activity.
They also found close to 9000 media files of child abuse material, including videos of infants being sexually assaulted by men and women.
The Adelaide District Court sentenced the man to three years and four months imprisonment with a 12-month non-parole period.
