Jake Tapper tried to make it about "but the Republicans think Biden will use the Afghans to flood the US" and Ben Sasse… BEN FUCKING SASSE brushed him off and said "we gave these people [the interpreters and their families] our word that we would get them out once they finished helping the US Troops".
Wasn't Sasse's exact words, but you get the point… Sasse didn't make it political like Tapper wanted him to.
