FAIL: Biden’s Pentagon Spox Said Kabul Was Not in an “Imminent Threat Environment” Just 3 Days Ago

On Friday the Pentagon said Kabul was not in an “imminent threat environment.”

Pentagon Spokesman John Kirby told reporters, “Kabul is not right now in an imminent threat environment, but clearly… if you just look at what the Taliban has been doing, you can see that they are trying to isolate Kabul.”

By Sunday the Taliban was in complete control over Kabul.

Nice work, military geniuses.

Today we had this.

US Officials Livid Over Botched Afghanistan Withdrawal, Say Military Was Rebuffed For Wanting Larger Role In Evacuations

US officials are livid over how the Biden administration botched the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan - with some saying the US military was rebuffed for wanting a bigger role in helping evacuate Afghans at risk because they worked with the United States, according to Reuters.

Five anonymous US officials told the outlet that "weeks before the Washington-backed Afghan government collapsed, the U.S. military wanted a bigger role in helping to evacuate Afghans at risk because they worked for the United States," adding "The officials believe that a more orderly withdrawal would have been likely."

"We could have done a lot more to help. The administration waited too long," said one official.

Hitting back at criticism, a senior White House official cited laughable comments by national security adviser Jake Sullivan that their team had been "engaged for months of extensive scenario planning and was ready for this challenge."

A person familiar with the situation said the Biden administration was behind the curve as things deteriorated in Afghanistan. "Every decision has come too late and in reaction to events that make the subsequent decision obsolete," the source said.

Local embassy employees who have been at home for weeks were left to make their own way to the airport, the source said.

The pandemonium hampering the evacuations prompted some embassy officials to raise concerns that there was an insufficient number of U.S. troops to secure the airport, reflecting poor planning and intelligence failures, said the source.

The source and another U.S. official told Reuters that the administration so badly misjudged the situation that the State Department flew a regular rotation of diplomats into Kabul last Tuesday even as the Taliban advanced toward the capital.

"The withdrawal of U.S. troops should have been carefully planned to prevent violence and instability, and to ensure that the hard-fought progress gained over the past two decades —particularly when it comes to Afghan women and girls — would not be lost," said Sen. Tom Carper (D-DE).

Meanwhile Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said it was unlikely that a withdrawal of US personnel and at-risk Afghans could be completed by August 31 - Biden's deadline, which Graham said "will likely result in thousands of Afghans who have helped America being left behind for slaughter."

"Frustrated, disgusted and in disbelief today," said one US military official who served in Afghanistan.

Hollywood Celebrities Blame Trump for Biden’s Disastrous Withdrawal from Afghanistan

Hollywood celebrities have sprung into damage control mode following President Joe Biden’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, attempting to blame former President Donald Trump for Biden’s mismanaged and chaotic retreat that has left the country in Taliban control, including the U.S. embassy in Kabul.

Stars including Bette Midler, Sophia Bush, George Takei, and Rosanna Arquette have used their social media influencer status to assign blame for the fiasco to Trump, citing the former president’s 2020 agreement with the Taliban.

As Breitbart News reported, the Trump administration agreed to fully withdraw troops from Afghanistan by May 1, 2021, in exchange for the Taliban agreeing not to attack U.S. troops and to cut ties with al-Qaeda and other international terrorist groups.

But the Biden administration reneged on the Trump deal by extending the Afghan war by four months, before again changing the date for troop withdrawal to August 31. Biden’s prevarications prompted the Taliban to drop its end of the bargain, setting in motion the Islamic extremist group’s takeover of the country.

None of that stopped Bette Midler from trying to spin Biden’s debacle as Trump’s fault. “This should be laid at Trump’s fat feet,” the future Kennedy Center honoree tweeted Monday.

Haiti Quake Death Toll Rises to 1,419, Injured Now at 6,000

LES CAYES, Haiti—A hospital in southwestern Haiti, where a powerful earthquake flattened homes, shops and other buildings over the weekend, was so overwhelmed with patients that many had to lie in patios, corridors, verandas, and hallways. Then a looming storm that could bring heavy rains Monday night forced officials to relocate them as best they could given the hospital’s poor conditions.

Even those patients were somewhat fortunate. Haiti’s Civil Protection Agency on Monday raised the death toll from Saturday’s earthquake to 1,419 and the number of injured to 6,000, many of whom have had to wait under the burning heat, even on an airport tarmac, for help.

“We had planned to put up tents (in hospital patios), but we were told that could not be safe,” said Gede Peterson, director of Les Cayes General Hospital.

It is not the first time that staff has been forced to improvise. The refrigeration in the hospital’s morgue has not worked for three months, but after the earthquake struck Saturday, staff had to store as many as 20 bodies in the small space. Relatives quickly came to take most to private embalming services or immediate burial. By Monday only three bodies were in the morgue.

The quake, centered about 125 kilometers (80 miles) west of the capital of Port-au-Prince, nearly razed some towns and triggered landslides that hampered rescue efforts in a country that is the poorest in the Western Hemisphere. Haiti already was struggling with the coronavirus pandemic, gang violence, worsening poverty, and the political uncertainty following the July 7 assassination of President Jovenel Moïse when the earthquake sent residents rushing to the streets.

Biden Regime Official Asks Taliban To Form ‘Inclusive And Representative’ Government With ‘Full Participation Of Women’

Despite the Biden regime's pleas, it remains unlikely that the Taliban will appoint a female president

Biden regime State Department spokesperson Ned Price called upon the Taliban to make sure their new government in Afghanistan is “inclusive” and “representative,” and includes the “full and meaningful participation of women.” The Taliban has not issued an official response yet, though it remains unlikely that Afghanistan will black BIPOc indigenous plus-size trans women in leadership for the time being.

“Additionally, the U.N. Security Council issued a joint press statement earlier today calling for a new government that is united, inclusive, and representative, including with the full and meaningful participation of women,” Price declared. “The Council spoke with one voice to underscore that Afghanistan must abide by its international obligations, including to international humanitarian law, and ensure the safety and security of all Afghans and international citizens.”

As National File previously reported, a rifleman was seen opening fire on another man who was trying to scale the wall surrounding Kabul’s airport earlier today:

Video footage shows an Afghani man, dressed in all black and carrying an AK-pattern rifle, fire at at another Afghani man perched the high wall surrounding the airport in Kabul, Afghanistan. The situation in Afghanistan has rapidly deteriorated due to what many experts regard as the Biden regime’s botched handling of the U.S. military withdrawal from the country.

In the video, the rifleman fires his rifle at the man on the wall, spraying concrete dust in the air as the round strikes the barricade and misses the man trying to vault over, who quickly jumps back down to the other side. Laughter can be heard in the background. It is not clear if the man was trying to enter or exit the airport, or whether the gunman missed on purpose. Whether the gunman was a member of the Taliban, U.S.-backed Afghani military forces, or another faction is also unknown.

Democrat President Joe Biden has faced widespread calls to resign for his handling of the situation this week.

Arkansas AG Confirms Anti-White CRT Propaganda Violates The Civil Rights Act And The U.S. Constitution

"Although the First Amendment protects individual expression, it does not immunize a person or educational institution from violating others' rights under Title VI, the Equal Protection Clause, or the Arkansas Constitution by engaging in prohibited race-based practices."

Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge confirmed in a statement released on Monday that anti-White, racemongering propaganda -often described colloquially as critical race theory – violates the Civil Rights Act and the U.S. Constitution, as well as the Arkansas Constitution.

In a response to a question posed by State Rep. Mark Lowery (R), Rutledge wrote, “This letter is in response to your request for an opinion regarding the legality of introducing critical race theory and professed ‘antiracism’ in Arkansas public schools and universities. In this regard, you have asked the following question: Does the introduction of practices based on ‘antiracism’ and critical race theory in Arkansas public schools and universities violate Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment, Article II of the Arkansas Constitution, or other applicable nondiscrimination laws?”

“The answer to your question is yes,” Rutledge stated. “With certain qualifications set forth below, instituting practices based on critical race theory, professed ‘antiracism,’ or associated ideas can violate Title VI , the Equal Protection Clause, and Article II of the Arkansas Constitution.”

After citing legal precedent for the view that anti-White CRT violates Vl, the statement concluded, “Consequently, although the First Amendment protects individual expression, it does not immunize a person or educational institution from violating others’ rights under Title VI, the Equal Protection Clause, or the Arkansas Constitution by engaging in prohibited race-based practices. For these reasons, and with the qualifications set forth above, instituting practices based on critical race theory, professed ‘antiracism,’ or associated ideas can violate Title VI, the Equal Protection Clause, and Article II of the Arkansas Constitution.”

The statement, which took a decidedly moderate and liberal stance on anti-White CRT, nonetheless engendered tears of rage among online leftists, who insist that institutionalizing discrimination against White people is essential to the well-being of the country.

Special agents with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) seized a commercial truck containing more than 5,500 pounds of methamphetamine and fentanyl Aug. 5.

Officials later announced it was the largest methamphetamine drug-smuggling seizure along the southwest border to date.

FOX 5 San Diego reported:

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials announced that officers at the Otay Mesa Commercial Facility discovered 2.8 tons of methamphetamine and fentanyl powder hidden in a shipment of household articles — calling it the largest methamphetamine drug-smuggling seizure along the southwest border to date.

According to a CBP announcement Tuesday, the find occurred last Thursday.

The announcement said that, at about 5:24 p.m., officers encountered the driver of a tractor-trailer hauling a shipment of plastic household articles. During an inspection, a CBP officer referred the driver, along with the shipment, for an intensive examination.

Spanish Police Bust an International Drug Trafficking Ring

Spanish and Swedish law enforcementarrested 71people last week during a joint operation against an international drug trafficking group suspected of some 50 debt-related murders, Spanish Police said.

Made mostly of drug traffickers of Swedish and Polish origin, the group is believed to have used leisure boats and surfboards to smuggle narcotics across the sea between Morocco and Spain.

Once the drugs would reach the Spanish coast, police alleged that the criminals would then employ a Swedish moving business located in Alicante and Malaga to transfer the narcotics from Spain to the Nordic nation, hiding it among the company’s lawful goods.

During the four-phase operation, officers seized “a total of 1,700 kilos of hashish, 500 kilos of marijuana, 55,000 units of an opiate used as a substitute for heroin, five kilos of cocaine, 23 kilos of amphetamine,” and various weaponry.

They also took from the group 592,000 euros (US$697,075) in cash, 1.85 million euros ($2.178 million) in bank accounts, about 15,000 euros ($17,660) in bitcoin wallets, and property worth more than 14 million euros ($16.48 million).

On request of Swedish authorities, the investigation began in late 2018 and targeted a group of Swedish citizens who were reportedly traveling to Spain on a regular basis to negotiate the acquisition of drugs consignments.

Those individuals were thought to be closely related to the various criminal gangs in Sweden, which were fighting over drug control in Stockholm and Gothenburg.

The investigation, however, revealed that several Swedish criminal organizations converged in Spain around common drug suppliers.

Once the connections between these groups in both countries were established, Europol created an operational research team. According to Spanish police, a legal inquiry was conducted in a similar manner by Spanish and Swedish authorities, with the assistance of Eurojust.

“I Don’t Have an Answer to That Question” – Pentagon When Asked if US Has Plans to Keep Weapons Out of Taliban’s Hands

The Pentagon on Monday can’t say if it has plans to keep US weapons and munitions out of the Taliban’s hands.

A reporter asked US Army Major General Hank Taylor, a logistics specialist on the Joint Chiefs of Staff, if the US is taking action to destroy weapons, vehicles and munitions left behind so the Taliban doesn’t use or sell the war material.

“So there’s no US actions being taken to prevent equipment from falling into the hands of the Taliban by destroying it or anything else?” a reporter asked.

“I don’t have the answer to that question.” General Hank Taylor said.

Meanwhile the Taliban is amassing a huge cache of weapons and taking helicopter rides over Afghanistan.

Joe Biden said the Taliban had no air force.

Now they do.

Western governments are discussing how to handle the situation in Kabul where thousands of civilians desperate to flee Afghanistan have descended on the airport after the Taliban seized the capital. The United Nations Security Council had an emergency meeting on Monday, where they called for the establishment of a new Afghan government.

More than 60 countries issued a joint statement saying Afghans and international citizens who want to leave Afghanistan must be allowed to depart and added airports and border crossings must remain open, the US State Department said late Sunday.

The US government and more than 60 other countries including Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Qatar and the United Kingdom said in a joint statement that "those in positions of power and authority across Afghanistan bear responsibility - and accountability - for the protection of human life and property, and for the immediate restoration of security and civil order."

It added "the Afghan people deserve to live in safety, security and dignity. We in the international community stand ready to assist them."

Israel seizes 23 tons of chocolate intended for Hamas funding

Defense Minister Benny Gantz approved on Monday the confiscation of 23 tons of chocolate bars intended to serve as an alternative method of funding for Hamas in Gaza.

The chocolate bars that were confiscated on Monday from Hamas were meant to serve as an alternative currency to fund the Gaza-based terror organization, according to the Defense Ministry.

Officials had been noticing suspicious imports of food products to Gaza as of late. The suspicion was that Hamas was trying to gain funding by operating a broad network of food imports, including the chocolate bars.

The products were meant to be sold by Hamas to the people of Gaza, and the money from the sales was meant to serve as income, according to a joint investigation by IDF intelligence, the National Bureau for Counter Terror Financing of Israel, and the Tax Authority’s National Center for Cargo Inspection.

The investigators focused on two import companies, Al Mutahadun for Exchange and the Arab Training Company China, which belong to the same family headed by a Gaza money-exchanger named Zahir Younes Shmalach.

In May, IDF intelligence discovered that Shmalach was using his companies to funnel tens of millions of dollars from Iran to Hamas. The companies were immediately put on a list of terror organizations by the Israel Money Laundering and Terror Financing Prohibition Authority.

The investigation of Shamlach’s companies led to the seizure of the chocolate bars today.

Since the beginning of the current government’s term on June 14th, Israel has been withholding the monthly Qatari payments to Hamas in Gaza, increasingly deteriorating its economy.

“We were able to hit a number of [Hamas] funding networks and to confiscate goods, thanks to an Executive seizure order signed by Benny Gantz,” the press representative said.

“Israel will continue acting to prevent the empowerment of Hamas, who is building up military force instead of taking care of the people of the [Gaza] Strip who are collapsing from the economic burden,” Gantz said.

“We will continue to hunt down networks that fund terror, no matter what method they choose,” he said.
