No. The FBI traditionally handled all of the counter intelligence work, while the CIA supposedly only focused on outside the US… obv. things are somewhat different now

Some time ago they broke what I'm assuming was ultimately a story related to pizzagate, and named names, I'm having trouble finding it at the moment, but it was a while back, before pizzagate, before trump's election, etc.
I wouldn't go that far, more that certain stories have been allowed there because many people will automatically assume that they are just as true as bat babies and other looney shit and so discredit the stories…
